I'm just a bill yes I'm only a bill but I'm really named Joefizz not Bill!
I've never met anyone who has your exact kind of humor. You seem far out there, like...Robyn Williams. Just a bouncing off of walls kind of humor. Quite quirky. :D

I can generally tell what people believe by how they treat one another as well.

Those who often call other people unsaved more than likely don't understand grace for themselves.

Even in Scripture the writers continually said, "Hey believer this is wrong, but we believe THIS about you..." Good things not evil things. They saw the good in people, they saw God in people.

The writers of Scripture do continually advise people to ensure they themselves are saved though. Examine yourselves to see if Christ is in you... the key is understanding that we are God's temple. And because God lives in us His fruit WILL be seen in our lives. This isn't to be saved. This is because we are saved. It is in our struggle that we find we need the Comforter to remind us.

Paul even went so far as to say we know no one by the flesh. If anyone is IN Christ they are a new creation.

Are we seeing God in other believers? If not, the problem isn't other people.

Another way I can tell what a person believes is how many times they refer to love. The chief Scriptures we interpret the Bible through is more than likely who we believe God to be. But Scripture overwhelmingly teaches that it is by love that we know God.

What is our heart saying about our beliefs?

James 1:26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not bridle his tongue, he deceives his heart and his religion is worthless.

If someone doesn't know how to love, I usually don't believe they have much to teach me about God. Because they scarcely know Him.

Hello Cee. Oh, no, that is not the problem at all! Part of the problem is that they apply God's grace freely to their own lives, while deny it working in the lives of others. How often they will say things like, if you are committing sins, you are not saved, but then they will admit when pressed, that they still sin, but are saved regardless. They will say you MUST be showing others your good works, or you are not saved, while saying at the same time, they do not need to be doing anything to be resting in the grace of God. Long story short? Their hypocrisy is a problem! Not to mention how certain ones continually misrepresent what others say and believe, then act all innocent and/or play the victim card when these things are pointed out to them.

Okay. :)
Why do you think the penalty for murder is the same penalty for anger? What are your thoughts on why?
Anger isn't a sin...,it's not fully grown...

The Bible says be angry but don't sin..,don't let the sun set on your anger...

Also these verses...

James 1 v 15
Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

If anger at my brother isn't sin, why must I put it away? Why must I put away anger, rage, malice as Colossians says? And why does Jesus say if I am even angry at you I'm in danger of judgement?

Anger is an emotion like fear which can lead to sin. Sins are actions of rebellion and disobeince to God.

Not forgiving your brother and staying angry places you in danger of judgement.

Remember the parable Jesus spoke of the man who was forgiven his debt then went and shook down another man who owed him very little?

The man had no mercy and through the other guy in jail even though he was forgiven a much greater debt.

God forgave us our sins, a debt we can never repay...,our sins against God were much greater than any offenses others can do against us.

You posted that verse and it got me wondering - how would I be angry at you but not sin in my anger?

Can I be totally upfront with you and you won't be angry with me?

Sometimes anger is justified but we still have to forgive at the end of the day.

Do you think Jesus was angry when he overturned tables at the temple?

Anger is an emotion and emotions are not sins but something God gave us as warning signs..,it's our thoughts that leads to words and actions that can be sinful....if that makes since.
.have to go.

Night all.

Adultery is adultery even if you also only lust in your heart, and/or act on it. I mean, would you ever think of kissing another man, even if only in your mind?

Same with anger. I could be angry with you, but not act on it and like, go to your house and set it on fire..

I just can't see it that way no matter how hard I try.
This would mean adultery isn't adultery either unless you outwardly act on it.
