I think its not only grace they attack but everything holy.. im beginning to wondere if some are possessed here. several if not more than ten diffrent scriptures ive posted about waitng and hoping for salvation it just get chucked back at us like it means nothing..

Total disrerguarded like it doesnt mean nothing..

I say its a sect that as Gone to far in there beliefs..

i say nevermind cake takers and watch out for the law takers...

Jesus said not one jot of the law shall be left out.. which includes waiting patiently for the day of salvation..our merited favor to come..

Yup this is how i see it when where saved we recieve an unmerited favor... then when we recieve are crown we recieve a merited favor..
Have you not read that we throw our crowns at His feet Jimbo? :)

It's the strawmen. They make it hard to talk through all the smoke.

It's a common human/worldly/fleshly tactic to vilify the position of the opponent and falsely represent what they believe or have said.

One would think mature Christians would see past the enemies tactics by now, but apparently not.
Ooh, the irony!

You & G777 are competing to see which has more irony by the ton?:D

Yep. One doesn't see she is preaching against the exact same tactics she employs upon others.

Wonder if the implications of those who do such things being immature universally applies, or, is it only for "others" being merely a hypocritical pronouncement?

What tactics would those be p4t?

Falsely representing what others believe, instead of simply stating what you believe and why?

What crime do you and Stephen find me guilty of today?

Just ignore them. It does have a purpose...:)

Time maybe to implement Romans 16:17?

What do you believe about the gospel p4t or Stephen?

Is salvation by works?

Do you believe in the perservance of saints?

Is doctrine important?

G777, I believe everyone should apply these verses instead..

2 Timothy 4:2 ►
New International Version
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.

Let's see..... impersonating a referee, falsifying neutrality, acting like you aren't into easy believism, you know, the stuff you usually do.

1. I am not a referee and find it ironic that you like to accuse me of it.

2, I am not neutral and have stated before that I seek God's truth.

3. Easy believism? I have stated clearly what I believe. If you find it false, then clearly state the gospel as you believe it.

4. I won't hold my breath, you will do as you usually do.

The irony of p4t and Stephen joining forces considering p4t is a declared Calvinist and Stephen is solidly in the Free will camp.

I guess their dislike of me bonds them?

I don't think that anybody dislikes anybody,I think that maybe there is a difference of opinion, what's wrong with that?

If the mature elders would be so kind as to answer with their beliefs or show how mine fit the label of "easy believism"...

Feel free to correct what I have stated that is wrong with answering these five questions yourself...

1. How does one become justified?
2. Does justification alone equal salvation or must you also be sanctified?
3. How does justification change a person?
4. What is sanctification?
5. Define salvation.

Here are my answers...feel free to tell me what is unbiblical about them.
At this point it should be easy to answer these 5 questions with your own words.

Or I could answer them and everyone else can tell me how wrong I am.
1. There is only one way to be justified....faith in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Which is a free gift and can not be earned.

2. Salvation involves both justification and sanctification in that God causes both to happen in the lives of His born again children.

3. Justification causes a person to be born again and have a heart that seeks God's will and be lead by the Holy Spirit. It restores the relationship between God and the person and allows us to cry out "Abba, father". This is all done completely by God's power and will.

4. Sanctification as I explained earlier includes regeneration (being born again) and ongoing personal cleansing of old habits and fleshly desires (putting to death the old man) and learning God's ways and displaying the fruit of the Spirit (putting on the new man in Christ). This is done by God's power and active participation from the person to learn and be changed by God's holy spirit leading in our lives.
5. Salvation is a term used for the whole process.

It can be used solely to describe the born again experience, if the person believes God's promise that what He begins, He will see finished. Anyone who God calls will be saved.

Or it can be used to describe the final step, when Jesus comes back and judges the living and dead and gives His people their resurrected bodies.

I prefer the concept that is expressed that "I am saved, I am being saved and I will be saved"

By this I mean.

I have been justified and cleansed By the blood of the lamb. I am a child of God, born again with His Holy Spirit guiding me. I am saved.

I am not sinless or perfectly spiritually mature as I know God would have me. However, God is leading me and as much as I know I speak of His love and mercy and grace. When I stumble and fall, He picks me up, if I sin, He chastens me as He does every child of His. Thus I am being saved.

One day He will return and give us new resurrected bodies and destroy this world and replace it with a new heaven and new earth.,in that way...I will be saved.

****

Anyway. Y'all can tear it apart as you like, but that is what God had taught me.

What has He taught you?

Jesus, Friend Of Sinners
Casting Crowns

Jesus, friend of sinners, we have strayed so far away
We cut down people in your name but the sword was never ours to swing
Jesus, friend of sinners, the truth's become so hard to see
The world is on their way to You but they're tripping over me
Always looking around but never looking up I'm so double minded
A plank eyed saint with dirty hands and a heart divided

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to the world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours

Yeah

Jesus, friend of sinners, the one who's writing in the sand
Make the righteous turn away and the stones fall from their hands
Help us to remember we are all the least of thieves
Let the memory of Your mercy bring Your people to their knees
No one knows what we're for only against when we judge the wounded
What if we put down our signs crossed over the lines and loved like You did

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at
the right hand of
the throne of God.

Heb 12:2
And by the way...

All one needs to highlight there is that word "finisher" :)

Of course, He finishes what He starts. Author and finisher :)

Amen to that..his work, his faith, his blood, his sacrifice, his rest by faith....it is all Jesus and he will NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US...HE WILL FINISH HIS WORK....

Easy believism is another coined phrase by the plentious in number that will be cast into hell because they trusted into themselves and their works over Jesus......

Another worker for.......a pseudo blend of faith and works....another peddler of false gospels......the kind that makes the plenteous in number that gets cast because of a partial trust into Jesus while dwelling on works.....

It is a little thing known as eternal life.

Which jesus said we have it
Paul said we have it
John said we have it, and he is so afraid we do not think we have it, he wrote a whole book, so we can know we have it, and he called it the bases for the ability to continue to believe in his name.

I do not understand why people make it so difficult. Its not hard to understand.
Amen bro......I have a hard time seeing those who trust into works and or the ability to lose salvation as actually being saved....both are false and contrary to the truth...Jesus was and is clear...he gives eternal life unto all that actually put their faith and trust into his completed work...those who interject self and works have not fully trusted into Christ and those who reject the eternal aspect of salvation places trust into themselves and something they must do in order to maintain that which is not maintainable........He will finish what HE started and he will NEVER leave nor forsake one whom he has started a good work with and in!

for a non believer, I agree, the things of God are foolish.

But to a person who has claimed to be a christian for years.. I do not see why it is so hard.. Paul deemed it th ebasics of christian life. If we do not have this down, the rest will suffer.

I do believe it is the main issue in the church..

One of for sure.....the first fruits of the oracles of Christ....Biblical salvation.....without this right...nothing else will be right...if the root is corrupt the whole tree is corrupt.....
