I thank God for the insults and rejection i got for sharing the truth in the Gospel of Christ.

Indeed, no servant is greater than his master.

John 15:20-22 Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘no servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

John 12:47-48 “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.

You mean you thank God for the resistance to your false gospel which MAY open your eyes one day before it is too late?

yeah.....I think that is it.....

Post 12097 I got your back....he does that regularly and then never apologizes for reading it wrong....

It's clear that we are saved by grace through faith, not works, but FOR good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). What I hear many others teach is that we are saved through faith and works in one form or another.

AMEN and I agree.........any addition to faith in order to gain or keep salvation devalues the work of Christ on our behalf and renders it a false gospel with no power to save....period.....

Matthew 7:6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

You can play the religious victim all you want....your gospel is false...you are not being persecuted for faith and a stance on the truth......and if anything the verse you quote was aimed at those who embraced a working for dogma and a self righteous attitude......I gladly embrace the truth...not your skewed version of it though.....

what peter, Stephen, and some others seem to be saying is this- we are saved by faith through good works, and then if we have enough faith, do enough good works, then we get grace. now, this sounds good, makes sense, but, it is not Biblical.

by grace, through faith, for good works is what the Bible says, and it is said in different ways all through the N.T. some just choose not to see or believe it.

Don't forget.. If for whatever reason our faith or works seems to faulter. We also risk losing said salvation also.

But they do not preach a works, self righteous, Self centered, merit based gospel (SMH)

This in red is what I meant..... A purposeful twisting, injecting their own thoughts into what's supposed to be our belief system.

Pure lies.

Unrepentant liars have their part in the Lake of Fire..... that's what The Book says.
well good. then, We have nothing to worry about..

You however. And peter.. I would be worried.

I have had enough discussion to know that Peter doesn't believe that you have to have works to gain salvation.

He does believe folks can lose their salvation but I don't think it's due to not having works but he does say the lack of fruit is a warning sign.

Don't know what Stephen believes...I do know what he is against: easy believism.

The folks who I believe teach works salvation actually avoid this thread most of the time.

ANYONE, regardless of flavor, that teaches one can lose salvation for any reason by default teaches....

a. One must do something to keep it
b. One must do something to earn it back<----which is impossible to lose and earn back (HEBREWS in context)
c. Salvation is based upon what you do

A+B=C= A working for false dogma Galatians 1 and 3, Titus 3:5, 1st John 5:4-5, 3:16, 36, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 3-4

OUR Works do not save, have not saved anyone and will not keep one saved...THAT is the work of Christ....end of story

Ariel - You want to have answers to things beyond their point or purpose.
My position is some here want to openly condemn others, ridicule them as evil or false
teachers when they are sharing scripture and its reality.

I oppose this logic that condemns people because of their religious beliefs and not
their behaviour. The Lord condemns behaviour which indicates a failure in their beliefs.

What is ironic is how legalistic believers who have lost faith and then regained it in
free grace, end up condemning righteous aspirations of others.

This is shown by the continual accusation I claim I am perfect, without sin, but rather
I believe we can walk in purity and holiness before the Lord after being washed clean.

But too many just reject at any point they are clean, as if sin and its desires are something
one wants to cling on to or can never be freed from. For me this is unbelief in the power of
the cross. If I walk in the Spirit there is now no condemnation of me in Christ Jesus.
So the answer is no....you didn't get anything I said.

Okay, have a nice life then,

Do you believe this verse Ariel or you also reject this?

John 6:28-29 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works god requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
I believe any good work we do is because the Holy Spirit empowers and allows us to accomplish it for His glory

Sorry Dcon...but your math doesn't work.

The reason we are saved is because God has worked in our lives...,we are told that we will show signs in our lives that God has done these things.

However I am not ready to label anyone who doesn't understand the doctrine of eternal security as teaching works salvation.

It seems to conflate the two issues and confuses things.

Actually, I did grade 12 algebra at 7 and my math is good....if you teach you can lose it then SOMETHING must be done to KEEP IT or EARN IT BACK.....regardless Ariel...that is a WORKS based salvation and PAUL covers this in GALATIANS

Not HARDLY...they are eternally tied together, there is but one gospel......not 2 or more

Ive said this a thousand times noe we are saved and can be saved until the end but our salvation hasnt been given yet only are saving are eternal life hasnt been declared until we meet our maker... but you can bet that it is a done deal for some but not everyone...

Only the ones who have been handed over to the son have eternal life as it stands but even them people havent been told that directly yet... which is your crown the one your suppose to hope for...

This makes 1001 and is still wrong........it is a done deal for ALL the moment they exercise belief.......a present continuing result from a past completed action.......

Well.....the founding of the 13 colonies was based upon freedom to worship as they pleased and included the possibility of new wealth, trade etc. with England/France "Europe" and the Declaration of Independence was our desired separation from England and the formation of a new nation/entity........the general idea of what we are taught.........obviously the U.S. is accurately described as the melting pot of the world.....and I personally have a few convictions concerning the nation as a whole and most reject or deny but I do believe (not because of American exceptionalism) that the U.S. can be found under the banner of the "Prodigy of Babylon" the HINDERMOST of the NATIONS the LADY of the KINGDOMS...........
mate your wrong us brits colonised your country and we had british embassies in all your colonies.. listen once im only going to say this once..

Those colonies where ares we earned them and won them we took over land which you never had...
