We receive the Spirit thru faith( gal 3:14), now as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. It is very clear þat A MAN WITHOUT THE SPIRIT BECAUSE OF DEAD FAITH(without works) HAVÈ NO WORKS, NO PURPOSE & VAIN BECAUSE THEY ARE DEAD. How could anyone teach or admonish or rebuke someone else if he doesn't have the Spirit because of his dead faith & that is why it was written that even the devil believe & shudder.(james 2:17-26). To the dead, either REPENT OR REST IN PIT (RIP)

Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Matt 6:1-6

Jesus is instructing us how to behave, what to do.
We obey because Jesus is on our throne.

There is a strange fascination that has linked a certain language as evil.
So if we testify to what is happening to us this is wrong.

I was healed, the Lord blessed me, I found the truth, I am saved, I have
been lifted up by the cross from my world of sin and death into eternal life.

Maybe people feel a lack in their own lives that this sounds unusual?
It is testimony to the Holy Spirit working.

Faith alone saves....one cannot produce fruit unless they are in the VINE....salvation by FAITH places one in the vine.........end of story.....works do not save, keep saved or help one stay saved, but are the result of salvation that ONE ALREADY POSSESSES!

In the natural the fruit of our own self-will and the fruit of our righteousness in Christ and His life in us effecting the change look alike outwardly.

( the same as Abrahams self-effort in his flesh produced a son outwardly ) When Abraham gave up and just believed that God would fulfill His promise - then God gave him and Sarah the ability to have a son. So, they just went about living naturally...had sex and God's promise came into being...a natural outflow of them just living....the son of promise came then. God's fruit in them being produced.

All Christians agree what the "fruit" of the life of God looks like. But does it come by us producing the fruit or by relying on the root..which for us Christians is Christ's life in us. ( the whole He is the vine.....His life is the sap that flows out of us because we are the branches thing )

Sometimes we see what the fruit should look like and we say to people.."produce" this fruit..or else.

Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit which is not something we produce in our own flesh or will-power just by choosing to stop something. It can last for a bit but eventually we all give in because our flesh is weak. I think choosing by an act of our will is involved in both circumstances. Choosing to change by our will power and living from the life of Christ both involve the will.

I maintain that we should be preaching and teaching the grace and love of God for people so that they can have the proper nutrients to grow up in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen Faith alone saves. Faith to know Christ is the way we have forgiveness of sins,
faith to trust and put His commands into action, faith to know He will and does
honour His promises to us through His Holy Spirit.

Amen, that trust runs deep, to come every day to the foot of the cross and bow
and submit to His rule and love in our lives.

Amen and Praise the Lord.

Jesus calls us to walk in love, to love from the heart, to forgive from the heart,
to love God with all our heart, strength and might.

How is it the heart, being open and honest about what is within is missing from
so many preachers. Maybe they know what is within them and it is not pure
and clean, holy and precious, yet there they are preaching.

So they claim not to be superficial, except they desire wealth, health and fame.
They do not walk in righteousness or purity, and condemn those who do as
legalists and hypocrites, not because they are, but because no one can walk
in communion with Christ, only in defeat and failure,

Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness
Rom 6:13

If we were just Christs righteousness, the above verse would make no sense,
but because empowers us to walk in life, we can offer ourselves to God for
righteousness.

AMEN....I think of all that Paul knew and taught....yet at the end of the day he said....If I am going to glory, I will glory in the cross of Christ. Paul understood clearly that the cross and faith into that work is what justified Paul, brought forgiveness and led to the eternal standing as a Child of God.......everything beyond that is fruit based UPON JESUS DOING THE WORK through you as a living sacrifice....and exactly why we have no place to boast and exactly why our works (which are the works of JESUS in us) will never save us or keep us saved. That has been dealt with already at the cross.......his blood and faith is sufficient!

I stand amazed at the workers for salvation....they are not only missing the mark biblically, but also seem to be somewhat blind to creation itself....

Let us evaluate......

A watermelon seed is dead, dried up from the year before, useless and will not produce anything (a lost man)

The seed gets planted by men in the dirt and watered (biblical message of salvation preached and watered by men)

No amount of dirt or water will guarantee the seed will sprout (that is up to God)

Seed sprouts to life (God given and a lost man is now BORN OF INCORRUPTABLE SEED I.E. BORN of the SPIRIT)

SEED is NOW ALIVE and GROWING, but will not bear fruit until a period of growth and maturity (SPIRIT FED by the word)

The NOW GROWING ALIVE PLANT is sustained by SUNSHINE and WATER (GOD's SPIRIT AND LIFE)

THE PLANT produces various numbers of fruit depending on water, fertilizer, sunshine (GOD is the one that gives the increase)

Things to note.....it is GOD that gave life (born again and eternal Ecclesiastes 3:14) It is GOD that sustained the growth of the vine, It is GOD that cause the maturity of the plant, It is God that gave the increase (bearing fruit)

WORKS do NOT give birth, works do not sustain growth and the result of said birth, growth and fruit bearing IS ALL the work of GOD.....

Salvation is not based upon works....end of story.....ANY WORK is the result of ONE already BORN of GOD'S SPIRIT....wake up!

iI would offer it is based on works. But whose? Merit was need to pay the wage of sin. Its just that work of faith , as a labor of love is not of us ... if it is of the faith of Christ to begin with..Faith without His works is dead.

1Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your "work of faith, and labour of love", and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

2Thessalonians 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

If the goodness is of Christ the faith of Christ is the power behind it. We then love Him because he worked to love us.

He gives us that treasure but we would never assume it was of us .No man can served two masters (self and God) Either God is on throne of our heart or us. No limbo in between

2Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Do you think the church letters were written to the lost or those ho were ALREADY SAVED and identified with JESUS dia immersion.....

MAN HAS NO PART in his salvation other than ACKNOWLEDGING the FINISHED WORK OF JESUS....which I HAVE said numerous times......!

Notice the words "work of" faith, "labor of" love and "patience of" hope in 1 Thessalonians 1:3. These are the practical outworking of the Thessalonians' conversion.

The "work" the Thessalonians do is a result or consequence of their faith. So too their "labor" flows from love and their "endurance" comes from hope. Work "of" faith does not mean that faith in essence is the work accomplished. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Their work is a result or consequence "of" their faith.

The work done is "of" faith or done "out of" faith. Faith was already established at conversion and then the work followed as a result or consequence "of" faith. We need to be careful to not turn work "of" faith into this work "is" faith. That would leave no distinction between faith "and works" that "follow" as a "result of our faith."

A mechanic tells the owner of a car what needs to be done.

The owner does nothing but has faith in the mechanic so nothing happens.
Now if you obey the mechanic that is the point of the advice.

It appears these faith believers believe the enemy is close at hand and needs beating up.
Rather than blessing, it is always the same accusations and fight.

We are called to love from the heart, to forgive and repent, yet somehow this has been lost.
All the verses of victory are turned into Christs victory and our failure.

So this is their battle, to say the liars claim what Christ is offering in their hearts, victory,
but this is deception and a lie, the more mature we are the more we sin and fall short.

The mechanic has the faith as a work that he can repair it . If the owner places his faith in the mechanic,of the mechanic . The mechanic will work it to both will and do the good pleasure of him who cannot do the work himself.

So will you take the mechanics advice or ignore it?

Jesus is not a mechanic and our spiritual birth of incorruptible seed is not a car needing to be fixed.....in my country the mechanic fixes the car....your examples fall way short and prove your lack of understanding....!

What are you mumbling about here....no one actually addressed you....maybe your own conscience is cutting you when you read the truth....surrender to JESUS and trust him 100% and lose the works based salvation and maybe you won't be so convicted...just sayin..

If you are not a broken human, but actually a totally new creature you are unique
or possibly mad.

I understand the gap between us, which you demonstrate all the time.
God bless, Christ is our saviour and Lord.

why would God give us a car that doesn't run?
