There are about ten (10) NT verses which (are trying to) teach us that ...
THOSE WHO PRACTICE RIGHTOUSNESS ARE THE RIGHTEOUS ONES (in God's eyes)!

I.E. the righteousness that you received (once) must be maintained.

Heads up, folks!
Habitually sinning definitely is NOT any part of practicing righteousness!

IT IS JESUS WHO KEEPS US IN PERFECT PEACE BECAUSE OUR MINDS R STAYED ON HIM (NOT US) WE WONT BE HABITUALLY SINNING WHEN OUR MINDS R ON HIM.

NO., I FELL ON THE ICE SIDEWAYS. OUCH OUCH
Sounds painful. You said you are having surgery on Monday do you know what type of fracture you have. Sorry I am training as a Physician Associate, seen some orthopaedic surgery also done an A and E placement so have more than a pacing interest. Many years ago around 20 I slipped on a wet pavement and fractured my ankle. I was on the way to see River Dance in London and slipped on a wet pavement. I needed an open reduction and fixation, in normal language a six screw metal plate. Praise God my ankle healed and it normally doesn't give me any trouble.

Yes Christ's righteousness is a gift, but the false teachings of Joseph prince makes a total disconnect between what that imputed righteous actually looks like in a born again Christian, which Christs righteousness manifests itself also in our righteous doing. He promotes a sin and still be saved doctrine, and sin is not righteous doing, which is why he falsely claims righteousness is not righteous doing.
This is where things get mis-represented by what your post is saying.. I have seen this teacher teach that right believing will produce right living and that grace teaches us to live godly and righteously in this present world. Righteousness which is from God is the whole point of the gospel message.

There are deeds or fruits of righteousness that come from the new creation in Christ but they don't make you righteous. Only Jesus and His blood makes one righteous. Get this wrong and the whole gospel is compromised.

Grace your post is long and too big a bite...so let's just look at two points you made with scripture:

Here it says that God made us righteousness in Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:30 (KJV)
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

This says we have become the righteousness of Christ ( this is called a dependent clause in the greek - it is determined as fulfilled because Christ became sin )

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

So my questions are
1. What is the difference between wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption? God made a point of listing each separately and if we examine the meaning of each maybe we can clear up some confusion and debate?
2. How are we made the righteousness of God in Him?
3. Is it a free gift?
4. Are we fully clothed in Christ righteousness or does God want us to make our own garments?
I know there are tons of scripture that talks about the righteousness that God imputes to us because we are in Christ.

There are many in the OT too that talk of this future day we live in now. They call it "everlasting righteousness" and "their righteousness shall be of Me"

All good questions you asked:

1) What is the difference between wisdom, righteousness , sanctification and redemption would be a very long talk....so I won't go into that in this post. The main point is that all these are from Christ Himself - not things we manufacture or do to become righteous.

2) we are made the righteousness of God in Him by grace through faith.

Romans 3:24 (KJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Verse 25 then says "by faith in His blood"

3) see above scripture to show it is free and then there is this one too.

Romans 5:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

4) the only clothes of righteousness are Christ's - not ours.

AM GLAD U R OK TODAY W/ NO ISSUES. FALLING IS COMMON I GUESS.

You have two bones in your lower part of the arm these are the ulna and radius. The radius is the bone which goes kind of from the thumb to the elbow. It is very common to fracture the radius when an individual falls. The most common fracture is the FOOSH a fall on outsretched hand. Distal means away from the body. Normally the last inch of the bone. As it is intra-articular it means that the space in the joint within the wrist has been altered. It is normal for the bone to be quite ragged if there are small displaced bits it is called a comminuted fracture. Sometimes if the bones are quite well aligned the bone will be reduced without surgery and placed in plaster to allow the bone to heal in the correct position however certain fractures you can't pull back into place with manual traction or even if you do they wont heal in the correct position and so will lead to potential problems. ORIF, stands for open reduction which means they surgical open the wrist, reduction is putting the bones back into correct position internal fixation is the use of a metal plate which will be attached dirrectly to the bone. They use sterile equipment to drill holes in the bone and attach the plate with screws. I had my ankle operated under a spinal as I had a chest infection. However I think yours will be done under a general anesthetic.

The waves of pain are horrible hopefully you have some pain killers and it is difficult not to move your wrist which I am sure you have discoverd makes the pain worse but I am sure you have discovered.

Psalm 139 talks about how we are fearful and wonderful made and it is incredible how well bones heal. Although it does take time. Falls and fractures are very common. I can honestly say my fall was quite commical looking back on it, didn't feel that way at the time.

I will be praying as I mentioned before for the surgeons and that it heals properly and you get full use of your wrist back.

Hope the information is helpful.

I also wanted to say it is lovely to see you back.

Thank you for your kind words. God really opened up the door to the course I am doing. I am enjoying the course so much particularly the placements. There is no better place to be than in the centre of God's will for you.

Okay you speak of the 2nd type of righteousness...do you know if the first?

"The second kind of righteousness is our proper righteousness, not because we alone work it, but because we work with that first and alien righteousness. This is that manner of life spent profitably in good works, in the first place, in slaying the flesh and crucifying the desires with respect to the self, of which we read in Gal. 5:24, “And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” In the second place, this righteousness consists in love to one’s neighbor, and in the third place, in meekness and fear towards God" ---- from post #33 ---- Martin Luther
I don't know if he is correct ... he might be ... there are 2 types (at least) of sanctification!
Positional and progressive.

I CANT TYPE MUCH BECAUSE OF BROKEN WRIST SO 1 HANDED AND UPPER CASE. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A GIFT 2B RECEIVED AND IT'S FREE. THIS DEVOTIONAL IS A GOOD 1 AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND. BE BLESSED AND ENCOURAGED FROM THE READING. :)

Oh! So sorry to hear about your wrist! I shattered mine almost exactly three years ago stepping out of an ice house in Canada . We were on a trip to visit family and we still had over a week to go, so the ER 'set' and casted it the best they could and I had surgery about a week or so after we got home. By then they had to re-break it (it had begun to heal) and added a T-plate and 10 screws. NOT FUN!!! But the pain meds were good, ha. And needed! Anyway, all is well now - full movement and flexibility of my wrist, but my hand is somewhat weaker than the other one. Need to take the time to get it back up to full strength. Always busy doing something else . . .

Praying that your bone(s) mend quickly and for full function and flexibility to return!

Love you,
-JGIG

AM GLAD U R OK TODAY W/ NO ISSUES. FALLING IS COMMON I GUESS.
Sounds very much like my wrist was, and yes it HURTS! I've given birth seven times - six of those times with no pain meds . . . rather would do that than go through a shattered wrist again. I actually used my labor breathing as I coped with the wrist pain in the several hours from my fall to traction/cast and paid meds! I can remember holding my wrist and putting my forehead against the wall and using breathing techniques between whimpers, ha.

I felt soooo much better after surgery - things were back in place and the pain was greatly reduced. I can't remember the technical jargon for the surgery I had, but here's my post-surgery pic. Seven small screws to pull the broken parts together and three big screws to attach the T-plate to the arm bone :p:

Wrist repair 1.jpg

It was kind of creepy thinking about all of that stuff in my arm, but now I rarely think about it. The scar has taken longer to resolve/heal than the wrist - that kind of surprised me. Silicone scar patches are great (Scar Away worked well for me). I didn't care about the appearance of the scar, but it was really tender/sore and burned/itched for a long time. The silicone sheets (you can cut them to size) really helped to break down the scar tissue and protect the tender scar tissue from sleeves/bumps/brushes against things.

Prayers that all goes well on Monday. Just think of it as a good nap with scheduled maintenance ;).
