Prayer is what we are called to do. Pray without ceasing "Paul said" it's the most important part in a Christians life.
Constant communication with the father.
Jesus was always in prayer.

Why wouldn't saved people like to pray?

It's like someone adopting a child and the child refuses to talk to his new dad.

Does that mean the kid is no longer an adopted son or does the Dad continue to love and do things to win over the child?

It is difficult to pray because God doesn't seem present/real/knowable. I ask solid Christians what God is like. They must know what he's like if they are saved and are telling me I need to have a relationship w/ him. They don't seem to want to describe what he's like. They just shut down and don't say much at all. It makes me question how much of a relationship someone can have with God.

God is like a loving father, a warm blanket on a cold day, a hug when you are sad, a shoulder to cry upon.

What do you want to know exactly?

I used to have a hard time praying out loud or when people were around because I thought they would laugh at me or say I was crazy and talking to myself.

But God taught me to trust Him and showed me how He is in my life even when my eyes were closed and I couldn't see him....like a little child that "hides" with their feet sticking out of the blankets..

We are sometimes illogical.

I have a scripture that might help, then we can pray together.

Romans 8:26 ►

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Dear Heavenly father, we come before you tonight. My heart is troubled for many on this forum. They fight and call each other names like "child of satan", pharisee, demon possessed, pack of wolves.

Lord, why do they curse each other? Why do they not listen to James 3 and tame their tongues? Why do You tell me to speak to them? they won't listen. They will ask who are you to tell us what to do?

Who am I Lord? No one special in the eyes of the world. Definitely not sinless or pure. I have so many faults of my own. Who am I to rebuke them?

I will do as you command Lord, but I give it all back to You.

It's all too much. The fighting, the bitterness.

I should be praying for umzza, but I don't know how. Your holy spirit sees our hearts and we groan Lord. help us Lord, for without Your light we are lost.

Heal us Lord, renew our hearts and minds and bring peace, joy and love to our lives. Thank you for our many blessings, help us to count each one daily. Bless and protect our loved ones o God. The world seeks to destroy the bonds of love...help us to strengthen them and walk closer to You and upon the path You place is.

In Jesus Holy name we pray, Amen.

Idk anything that you would want to say about him. Like people usually give a generic "God is good and powerful and awesome." Not a real life example or description of what he's like

Hey umzza I had issues praying at first too I felt like I was talking to thin air and kind of felt ridiculous doing it and it was like a chore doing it because there was no connection or anything it was like I couldn't seem to understand what everyone was talking about when they speak of how they pray to him I just didn't get it. So I took a different approach I am a writer at heart so I figured I would have a journal of prayers and write my prayers to him. This seemed to work much better for me I wrote my heart out to him I began by talking to him as if he was right in front of me saying how I am writing my p[rayers to you in hopes that this will actually work because I can't seem tp pray and don't know how.

It began with that sentence and then turned into three journals full of my discussions with him I spoke to him about everything he was my own personal diary I wrote how I was feeling I wrote what I was doing that day to him I wrote everything to him poured my heart out and it was great there wasn't a time I wasn't writing to him.

Eventually I found I was able to pray to him normally and I had already built a close and personal bond with him just from writing to him. Sometimes we have a hard time learning to pray and so we have to find other means to do it. if you like to write maybe you can write to him like I did or get a bit more creative and write your prayers to him in poem form

You know I have struggled a lot inside and he was always the one who was there for me. When I felt like I was to much of a sinner to be with him he was there to show me different and because I had never known what its liked to be truly loved just for who I am he did and he showed this to me in many ways. even now I often times will imagine me in his arms as he looks down tenderly at his small adoring child he gave me strength and courage when I had none.

Think of him as the parent you never had the friend you have always wanted and the one person in whom every aspect of you is beautiful. Imagine in your mind you are a small little child scared and alone and a tall dark stranger is coming towards you to hurt you and suddenly bright light flashes and you see this king in white and gold clothing and his eyes are made of fire blazing intensely and fiercely as if to say you will not touch a single hair on my child's head

Imagine also that you are a small child who never feels good enough who just wants to be loved and to be special in someones eyes but you don't feel or see that when you look in the mirror yet suddenly a face appears with shining blue eyes and a tender smile in the mirror and it shakes it's head while smiling almost laughing even as if to say silly child let me show you what I see and he shows you the most beautiful girl you ever seen her beauty and light shines so brilliantly and she is so loved and adored the warmth of the love that surrounds her can be felt just by standing near her and you ask him who is that amazing person and he responds to you while tenderly holding your hand that is you my child this is who I see and who you are.

This is but a taste of who he is and who you are to him my friend :)

Do you think people are saved if they don't like to pray?
Yes. We are not saved by praying but by faith in Christ Jesus.

Its a good thing to do, though. We should not pray too long, just what is needed to be said, as our Lord Jesus tought us:

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive those who sin against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever.
Amen.

First Christians were praying this 3 times a day. I think it is a good rule.

you are saved by faith through grace...that doen't rely on prayer...having said that, to grow in your Chrisitan life, prayer is very important...being a Christian is a journey to God...God loves each one of us...he doesn't love us cuz we are good but rather, He loves us so we can become good...reading scripture and meditative prayer are truly relevant to our lives on this earth :D

I think you might be going about this the wrong way...

first, decide if God exists

then, decide how to pray

so starting from the beginning, do you believe anything outside of the physical world exists?

Maybe you should try to ask God what He is like. And start to know Him not "from other people" but from your own knowing.

I heard someone God was calling who wasn't sure if God existed pray

"God if you are real, please show me that You are."

He prayed with a heart truly seeking and told me that God revealed himself and pulled him from the lies of aethism and an entirely atheist family.

So God listens even when we are unsure.

I think they aren't saved if there idea of God all stems from asking question about him constantly online without going to him straight out or opening his word.
