Funnily enough I was thinking about this question a while back.
I would say can we wait until the life of my elderly aunt has come
to an end first, then take me here I am.
(She would have no one to take care of her if I went first and would end up
in an old people's home - that alone would kill her, she's never coped when she's
been in hospital and only has managed because I visited every day. Plus the staff label her
as a dementia patient when she is just ill. Everyone over 70 gets the dementia label
if they are confused when really most have genuine untreated medical problems.
That worries me the most that her serious medical problems would go unnoticed
because staff are too quick to play the dementia card).
