In my small attempt to give the BDF an option to read and become something more than a place of strife and contention. I continue with my daily Psalms posting even when I wonder if my time wouldn't be better spent on my knees in prayer.

Lord have mercy upon us, protect our loved ones and keep them from temptations. Show them a better way. Help us to display love, responsiblity, self control. In Jesus Holy name we pray, Amen.

Psalm 103
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,

This psalm reminded me of so many songs today. Here are three of my favorite. I hope they bless you this morning.

That first song by Matt Redman is the one that immediately came to my mind.

I actually started singing it while I was reading the psalm you posted. Then realized it wasn't exactly the same words...

If you find yourself wondering if your time would be best spent on knees praying, then you should listen to that. Thats one way God communicates. There are times to share, and there are times for reflection, and sometimes both.

I'm thinking Ariel82 was referencing the "strife and contention" she sees in the BDF and wonders if her contribution could make any difference.

I have no doubt God is right there with you, Ariel82, while you are posting these. Thank you for sharing your time together with us so we can feel like we are getting a big hug from God too when we read.

An open heart, in purity starts to make things simple and straight forward.
It is when we come with excuses rather than simple emotional statements of praise
and thanks, of love and kindness, to gratitude and thanks, that things start to fall
into place.

So often we want the goal now, when each step is as important and the goal, at
which point another goal falls into place.

Which part of the journey mattered, or that group you encouraged more than this
group you encouraged. Groups will never end, and blessing will always flow, but
the rush destroys it all, as the point is the flow.

Fear of rejection, hurt of the past stopping trust of today, pain and need blocked stopping
ministry and eternal springs of refreshing, forgiveness and the cross liberating the people
to meet the needs of those they touch each day, everyday, rather than the dream of the
other place where everyone is nice and it is all so easy, which never has existed but is the
illusion to not deal with where we are today.

How did you get the video to embed? Can't seem to get it to work for me.
