I found an Internet athiest TV show that exists purely to discredit Christianity. This TV show is broadcast world wide and is turnimg people away from Christ.
I'd like to get your oppinion on whether or not shows like this one should exist? Is debate type discussion like this a good or a bad thing?
Also I'd like to encourage as many Christians as possible to call into the show to defend the faith and knock these athiest hosts of their high horses.
The Christian representation on this show has been poor, so if you feel up to the challenge then I encourage you to call into the show as I will be doing and defend Christianity.
The show can be found if you Google: The Atheist Experience.
If you take away their right to express an opinion, then you also take away our right to do the same thing. These people, in their arrogance, are only hurting themselves, and those foolish enough to believe them are only hurting themselves. We can try to show them the error of their ways, but we have to let then make their own choices.

By the way, I don’t know if there is any way to prove the Lord’s existence – I don’t know if the Lord wants his existence proven. My argument is always that the Lord has solved any problem I’ve ever had, so why shouldn’t I believe in him?

He's been banned. Which makes me very sad. Because he reached out to me saying he was really inspired by our responses and asking about Christian resources and I never got a chance to respond. =( I know what it's like to walk the path of doubt alone. May God bring others into his life that can help him.

The Ban of the OP

I know it's politically correct to flood ourselves with guilt and shame whenever we oppose someone... especially if they get banned.

But lets take a step back, let go of emotions, and look at reality.

1. If you actually go back and READ the OP's previous threads and posts, you'll see he was NOT seeking solutions during a "crisis of faith", he was on the offensive, and just OPENLY ATTACKING THE BIBLE.

It was all very one-sided, and very intentional.
This isn't what people do with they have genuine confusion or indecision.

2. If you look closer, you'll see he was attacking the Bible with STANDARD, and SPECIFIC, ATHEIST APOLOGETICS.

He had done some research on the atheist apologetics, and was here ATTACKING christian views.

He was not "discussing" and "seeking"... he came here with clear, complete, preconceived arguments... and he was on the attack.

3. There is no indication from his profile, or his posts, that he is, or ever was, a Christian.

There is absolutely no indication he EVER had any faith of any kind, which might now be in a crisis.

MOST atheist apologists come here and put "unsure" on their profile... as an excuse to debate as they "pretend" to ask questions. You can tell they are insincere when you answer all their questions, only to find they have ALREADY PREPARED counter points for everything you say... that gives it away.

Let me reiterate, when you answer a "seeker's" questions, only to immediately get hit with a barrage of prepared counter points... that's an INSTANT CONFIRMATION you've been had.

4. Atheist apologists will guilt-trip you for questioning their motives, but Christians never do this.

A. If you question a Christian's motives, the Christian will say, "think what you like, I just want you to know Jesus," or something like that. (No guilt or manipulation, just an honest answer.)

B. If you question the motives of an atheist apologist... he'll accuse you of being unfair, and picking on him... and he'll immediately turn himself into a victim in order to MAKE YOU THE BAD GUY.
(Just manipulative psychology... they do it all the time.)

5. He appeared to start this thread in order to actually PROMOTE an atheist internet show... a show that he ADMITTED would "shake your faith."

A. He put the TITLE OF THE SHOW right in the thread title... so everyone would see it... even the search engines.

B. He stated the EXACT TITLE of the show at least another 3-4 times in the thread.

C. He suggested people from CC CALL the show live, to debate... but as Adstar said in post#19, some of us have SEEN this show, and they aren't going to allow actual fair debate with a knowledgeable Christian.

6. If the OP was sincere about answers to apologetics questions... HE COULD GOOGLE TONS of APOLOGETICS INFORMATION TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION, in just seconds... not come here and start debates.

A. There are tons of Christian apologetics sites of all kinds, and they're easy to google.

B. There are plenty of Christian apologetics broadcasts, and they're easy to google.

C. There are plenty of Christian apologetics videos, and they're easy to google.

* If you're confused by atheist arguments, there is NO REASON to go to a "general" Christian forum and start arguments with people.
* There are TONS AND TONS of FREE apologetics material, that you can find in 5 SECONDS... to ANSWER EVERY QUESTION YOU HAVE.

7. Finally, if after ALL OF THIS, we were STILL WRONG SOMEHOW, and the OP really was sincere... there are millions and millions of websites, videos, and broadcasts devoted to sharing the gospel... it's impossible for a true "seeker" to not find Jesus.

What if he was not an atheist but was a Christian whose faith was shaken, but whose faith was beginning to be calmed by fellowship with his fellow Christians?

I think that issue is covered above... but I'll clarify.

1. There is every reason to believe he was insincere, and was here just to argue and debate... because that's what he was ACTUALLY DOING.

2. But if he was a Christian, and just needed fellowship...
he can quickly google HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CHURCHES, along with millions of websites, radio broadcasts, and tv and video broadcasts.

And there are mostly likely some churches right down the street from him.

What was the debate?

The Thrill is Gone thread has another atheist posting his nonsense for those of you who wish to engage in sharing Truth with him.

I was alot like him when I first got saved..the poor boys faith is being tested and he's frustrated. He doesn't know the answers...Why did 70,000 men die on the behalf of David for taking a census? Why?? ( Not a serious question by the way)It's frustrating when you have many questions and your not getting answers. I myself have been accused of being a troll by people on this site..I didn't even know what a troll was. I even was called a Muslim..lol. I understand how he feels...when your a christian it becomes who you are,it your identity and to have that shaken is an awful feeling.
