I caught myself now, that I never thought about this and do not know the answer.

(John 3:34) "for God gives the Spirit without measure."

But why then not everybody has the same filling of Holy Spirit as Jesus? Why not everyone is filled with Spirit?

Or if one not very holy receives too much Holy Spirit, is he harmed? Is Holy Spirit like a fire, which could destroy a sinner?

Is that not concerning Jesus?.....it also states that he deals unto all men a measure of faith....and for a monkey wrench in the whole deal....John had the Spirit from the womb.......

It not a matter of how much of the Spirit we have----it is how much of us does the Spirit have---Jesus could be trusted with the Spirit without measure----the degree of power and authority we walk in depends on our maturity and also faith...

You are asking a lot of questions to which there are no quick answers...but here goes -
in the first inst. we only get a 'downpayment or earnest' of the HS, Eph1v14. we are not filled with it, it is increased gradually over time 'as we use it to learn GOD's ways. Nobody will ever receive too much...nor too little.
Also, the HS is given to those who are obedient to God, or at least will be serious and willing to obey, it is not 'dished out to anyone for their own agenda. As you say the 'Holy Spirit is Power' and man must learn to use it !
If the size of a Mustard seed can move mountains just what could a Spirit-filled person do ?
