Sorry to start a thread so bluntly-----maybe need to discuss what Christ Himself meant----I personally believe there are two Churches (at least) on Earth----the Laodicean Church and the Philadelphian Church------one is lukewarm-----another is serving Christ and is promised to escape the Tribulation (Revelation 3:10)----------those that are lukewarm (no oil in there lamps) could be left for the Tribulation? ****whatever---Getting spit out of Christ's mouth sounds radical---any thoughts----I seeking to be "On Fire" and ready to go whether it's Rapture or Tribulation----taking the first bus out...

oh come on Sirk...that's not really so

these one line bombs of yours are not your best effort

we read about all kinds of people in the NT and their life situations and they were all following Christ and they did not have to give it all away

and don't mention the rich young ruler, cause that involved a discussion on law as well

Ghandi rejected Christ.. In the end He remained a hindu and was not saved.. No matter how rightious men may seem to be in our eyes, in the end, all their rightiousness is as filthy rags to a Perfect God..

well, if you believe that good works gain favor from God, yup, yeah, maybe

but if you believe only God is good...as scripture actually teaches, then maybe not so much

Its quite the rub. Grace and works. Seems to me he was a man who gave more grace than he received.

Ghandi was not the man you seem, for some reason, to think he was

He was a political subversive who basically expected people to do as he did..

as far as his remark about Christians not being like their God, many are not at all like the God they say they follow

that does not mean that no one is

Gandhi was nothing like Jesus...if you actually do read up on him, he was more like the devil

people who actually knew Gandhi, best describe him as a contradiction of his own beliefs

he was a man and a fallen man at that

anyway, you sound quite disenchanted...this forum can do that to a person

hope it gets better for you...

Ok. So maybe Ghandi was a perverted geeknoid. The point still stands. Not one person on this forum truly follows Jesus. They keep their creature comforts, their comfortable clothes, their cars and their giant bank accounts while giving Jesus lip service. Anyone who says they follow Jesus like dutiful little servants but refuse to give up their comfortable lives are frauds.

The church is bugging me. It's become apparent to me that the modern American church and its leaders are frauds. All of them. We need to feed our neighbors with our money and let the modern church die.

There is no maybe about it. Ghandi was a sexual pervert who used his fame and position to give him access to young women.
