Just wondering if anyone else has had a dream or vision from God. I have had a few over a long period of time, not at all common. Here is one that happened years back, I came back from a out of state visit to my folks and lay down on my back on the bed and dozed off. I woke up and realized where I was, but found myself in kind of a cloud and in front of me was this large book and a hand with part of a arm. I soon recognized that the book contained the names of my close relatives and that each page contained a death date in the same way that we have a birthday. The hand would turn a page and a finger would point to a, year, month, and day, there would be a name of one of my relatives, the death date. Then the hand would turn the page again and the finger would point to another date with another name. When it was over I could not remember the names or dates but I was terribly depressed. Anyway within 20 months over half dozen close relatives had died.

You know jesus's parables didn't have a clear meaning most of the time does this mean they were not from God? Also I said they don't have a clear meaning at first I never said they never become clear. Often times in time he will reveal the meaning to me others times people from cc help me to understand the meaning of them. However I do receive dreams and horrifying images from the enemy as well. God gave me the gift to be able to see through the veil to an extent and we all know how satan loves to use what God has given us to his advantage
It happens rarely for some for others it's frequent, the visions are mainly the most frequent for me I don't have as many dreams from him. As to why they are so frequent there could be many reasons it could be one of the ways he likes to teach and speak to me or perhaps simply because I don't seek out these experiences and seek only his heart he blesses me abundantly with them
Yes, I have. G-d shows me in pictures. When I am called to give “a word” to people I will say what I see. And it is of G-d, spot on, and sometimes not pretty because I see the sin. Does not happen in25+ years I can count on my hands how many times G-d has used me in this way. I had a dream bout 10 years ago, I think was from G-d. when I awoke I got my Bible and found scripture reference to support it; it has not come to pass yet so either it will and it was from G-d or it won’t and it was just that a dream…. We shall see. I hope it was from Him it was a great dream!!!!

I get a lot of dreams several a year and the occasional vision, some are
immediately obvious, others become clearer later. I keep a dream diary
now and many times I have looked back at the older dreams and it has
suddenly dawned on me what the meaning was.
Several have been about teaching from God, clearing up things I was
unsure about. Several have been about assurance from God.
A handful have been about future situations which have later come true.
Just a couple of examples of the latter kind. I had a dream my cousin was
pregnant so I told her. She laughed her socks off saying no way am I
going to have another baby, one is enough thank you! A month later
she told me she was pregnant!
I had a dream about a man in my church walking down the aisle
on his wedding day. He is German by the way, the bride in his dream was
Asian. I told him and he thought it was funny, he said he was looking for a
nice German bride! Ten years later he married an Asian girl!
God cured my sleep walking in a dream, He showed me the Holy Spirit is a
person on a dream, He showed me the mighty strength of the Holy Spirit
we have, in a dream.
He warned me of the danger my elderly aunt was in last year. I had a dream
she was in hospital and I couldn't find her. When I woke up I started praying
she would be ok and that she would have no need to go to hospital.
Ten minutes later she called me downstairs as she had fallen out of bed!
I rang for an ambulance, they got her up off the floor, checked her over
and said she was ok. There was no need to take her to hospital.
God often spoke to people in dreams and visions in the bible, for some it
might be a one off. Joseph was a vision/dreamer, he was told to marry
Mary and he was also warned in a dream to go somewhere else.
Then for others it may be a regular thing like Joseph in the Old Testament
who had lots of dreams.
The bible is full of people who had visions and dreams.

My only question is ..
What makes you think your dreams are from God? And for what purpose? If you don't know what your dreams means until you think the event has actually happened and you looked back..what ws the point of God giving you the dream or vision in the first place..

I used to have many dreams that I believe were from God. I even started buying literature hoping it would help tie all the symbolism I was seeing into the bible. A book that I bought by Perry Stone "How to Interpret Dreams and Visions" focuses on the biblical aspect of dreams and the significance of symbolism. It was a decent read and there were actually many things in my dreams that were talked about in the book.
I still remember the dreams I had back then, not sure if it's because I had been keeping a dream log or because the dreams were actually that real to me. Usually if I remember a dream for a long period of time I look for some sort of significance in my current situations. I believe we must be careful of looking into our own dreams as to interpret them. Don't automatically assume because one is having vibrant full color dreams that they are getting them from God, but also don't rule out the possibility that God could be speaking to them in their sleep.

There are tons of examples of God speaking to people in dreams and visions in the scriptures. To discount that fact is foolishness. Does that mean every time we eat a large pizza and have strange dreams that it is a message from God? Of course not.
But does it also mean to throw the baby out with the dirty water? No. The answer is to rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal what He wants us to know concerning them when they are from God.
Sometimes with our humanistic minds we can dismiss that people have dreams and visions from God and that is just ignorance gone to seed.

If your dreams and visions just show others sins, then it isn't from God.
Just demons using you to speak death, and curses into others lives.
God will reveal the problem concerning sin, but also the solution.He will use people to speak life and turn people back towards Him. God's focus isn't on death, it's on life.

Why would death depress you, if you truly believed that they would go to heaven?
Paul casted out a demon from a fortunetelling girl slave. She must have gotten the future right because she made them a lot of money.
You know why its easy to predict bad events happening?
Because then the demons can go and make it come true or manipulate people into seeing it being fulfilled.
