This is the wisdom of God.

Have we ever read where Jesus said that the priests who stand in the temple - break the Sabbath which is in the Law?...or that David and his men ate of the bread which was in the temple?

Matthew 12:2-6 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."

[SUP]3 [/SUP] But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions,

[SUP]4 [/SUP] how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone?

[SUP]5 [/SUP] "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent?[SUP]6 [/SUP] "But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here.

Why were the priest not breaking the Sabbath law - because they were in the temple. Why did David be able to eat of the bread? Because he was in the temple.

This is why the true believer in Christ will not be breaking any Sabbath law because we are in the temple. Know you not that you are the temple of God?

Those that are in the temple are not breaking the Sabbath law by what day we meet or in doing any work on a particular day because we are in Christ. He is the true temple of God as we are in union with Him and are one in the spirit.

Until we understand the reality of our union with Christ and what that means - we will be resorting to going back to the Law and trying to live by our own flesh and we are exchanging the law of Moses for Christ Himself.

Thats why I asked,
but it did not answer my question

do you understand[know] there is not one bible verse that says that [sunday]
is now the day to go to church ?

it seems there is a balance....FEAR is the beginning of KNOWLEGDE, but fools despise wisdom and instruction....Fear in a believer's life should supplanted with LOVE as we grow and mature.....True love will cast out ALL FEAR.......just saying!

Seems to me, it would help to know where the Bible does say to fear the Lord. I don't know if it begins wisdom or not, but it seems fitting.
Someone already did that. There are a bunch of them. But, the point is not how many times the word is used, but what God meant when He used it, And I think Jesus clearly showed us He didn't mean to be afraid of Him.

I used to "go to church" on Thursday because I worked Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. What's the point again?

The fear ( awe and reverence for the child of God ) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Christ is the end of wisdom.

1 Corinthians 1:30 (NASB)
[SUP]30 [/SUP] But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

Perfect love casts out all fear ( Greek word phobia which is different than reverence and awe )

1 John 4:18-19 (NASB)
[SUP]18[/SUP] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

[SUP]19 [/SUP] We love, because He first loved us.
I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD QUIT TRYING TO NEUTRALIZE THESE GOOD THREADS BY SAYING WHATEVER YOU THINK & STICK TO THE SCRIPTURES.Thank you.

I wonder how much of the original message of the Bible has been corrupted by the fear people have harbored in their hearts and minds?
I wonder how hard people will try to destroy the doctrine of reverencing God?

Whoever stands against the true intent of the Bible is the enemy of God.

Not a single man in here has advocated not reverencing God...and g7's post specifically made a distinction between fear-and reverence...

See this? Christ is the end of wisdom. If this were true, everybody who accepted Christ would be wise, wouldn't they?

Without trying to be rude, why are there so many ignorant, foolish christians in the world today if this is true?

Some nerve, talking about others when you can't even figure out what 777 just said. He said Christ, and fully knowing Him, is the ultimate goal in searching for wisdom.... NOT just getting wet and calling yourself a Christian..

Yes.....there is a difference between those that know the Lord as our Father and we do have awe and reverence for Him. There is no one else like Him. We love Him.

To those that are trying to cause strife and division sometimes it's best to walk in the truth of this scripture until God grants repentance.

Romans 16:17 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Yes...our Lord Jesus Christ is made wisdom unto us from our loving Father and we love Him and rely on Him for all things. Our life is hidden with Christ in God.

He is mighty to save! This is one of my favorite things to speak to Him and the Father.

Is that what it means?

It seems rather open for interpretation, doesn't it?
