are you mocking the scriptures?

why would you do that?

who are you exactly and why are you trying to discount the Bible?

scripture has now been posted regarding the three accounts of Jesus baptism and temptation in the wilderness

you ignore that, because it proves you do not know the truth, and then you start mocking

what's going on?
Your heart is full of rage against me, I can feel it like a cold wind blowing on the back of my neck...

Jesus did the opposite of what Adam did when He was in the wilderness forty days and nights and and He earned immortality.
1CORINTHIANS 15:20-22

Jesus obeyed the single commandment given to Him by the Spirit of God who lead Him to be tempted of the devil. For forty long days, He succeeded to obey this commandment with the sinful flesh which He inherited from His mother Mary.

He succeeded in doing the opposite of what Adam did in Eden. With a sinful Inheriteđ flesh on Him, He obeyed God's commandment and conquered the inherited sin in His flesh becoming the first immortal Man to live on earth. He became immortal by the reason of His obedience.

ROMANS 8:3 In whose flesh did Jesus condernmed sin? He condernmed sin in His own flesh.
wrong

who teaches this?

Jesus never earned Immortality... Jesus was immortal and remains so.. Jesus being God manifested in the flesh could never fail and He did not fail..

And Jesus did not have any Sin nature flesh.. Jesus body came into being by the power of the Holy Spirit.. Jesus never had a human dad and did not inherit the curse of the sin nature that all other decadents of Adam has inherited..
Such a statement implies that Jesus, then, was never really tempted as we are. You are saying that He could NOT have sinned anyway, so basically He was operating in a "rigged" game that He couldn't lose.

I don't think that aligns with the whole point of Him being born as a man..... fully capable of falling to any of the sins we are susceptible to.

that is probably the Holy Spirit convicting you of attempting to prove the Bible is wrong

I am just a person...I don't have that kind of power

and you cannot answer the questions because you know you have spoken in error

why is that?

why did you misrepresent the gospels and say they do not agree and why do you believe Jesus had a sin nature?

What you presume as error is my knowledge, that doesn't mean it has to be your knowledge or info, take a chill pill...

the Christadelphians teach what you and the op are stating, but they are in error regarding this matter and do not believe that Jesus was God

I don't know if you are a member of that cult or not, but your teaching is in error and is not Christian

that is very troublesome if you would try to tell others about Jesus

your 'knowledge' is not of God

your witness is not Christian

Jesus did not have a sinful nature

who is your teacher and what do you really believe?

the only things I know about you, are what you have written

these things are not Christian

what do you actually believe?

you state the gospels are mixed up and you agreed with the op regarding Jesus' sinful nature

these are things you have said

further, you do not acknowledge that you were wrong...these are simply things you have said

when a person has nothing to hide, they answer questions...they do not evade them

what version of the Bible do you read?

You have very misconception about when a person likes a thread.. You presume something from a like on a thread.. You shouldnt Really be so narrow minded...

Well I guess everybody has a bad day, it's ok been there done that.. :)

you are just playing here

it is clear you have demonstrated that you may be of another faith...your responses in other threads are just as evasive and basically deny the truths of scripture

evasive answers and misrepresented scripture does not indicate knowledge that comes from God

Hmm, I would think Jesus was not tempted because he was all ready immortal rather than him becoming immortal because he defied being tempted. Then again I guess he was crucified. Maybe he was truly gloriously immortal when God resurrected him, the first fruits of immortality. Interesting topic though.

Well you know,, The fullness of God is no way shape or form going to be tempted by satan, thus what I meant about after the baptism it didn't happen directly to him, though indirectly through others of yes...

I mean really satan is going to tempt God on a temple top,, yea ok.. lol....

If one looks at other areas and accounts one can start to put the temptation of Jesus in rightly order...

Two things I'll say,, one while he was teaching healing, etc.. still in and around the lake before going to John to be baptism..

true many followed yet many wanted him killed.. On one such moment they crowd took him to a cliff and wanted to throw him off of it, but his time had not yet... Hmm often times he would go to those lonely places... ??

Some of you seem to be getting hooked-up on the word, "earned."

Have I made a correct assumption? If so, then I submit that it seems to come two ways:

One, that He completed His task here successfully, and earned the right to represent us by being the Firstborn, resurrected of God.

And, two, that He earned Immortality for us.

We already know that He never claimed to do anything except what He saw the Father doing. So that certainly seems to imply that He was not operating freely as the omnipotent God, walking around with some flesh hanging on His All-Powerful energy.

Is there anyone here willing to deny that He divested Himself of His previous powers to actually BECOME a man? Or do you feel He just LOOKED like a man, and retained all of His powers? He even said on the cross that He wouldn't just blink His eye or wave His hand to destroy those people, but rather, as the man He still was, He would actually have to call for an army of Angels to do that for Him.

well of course because I have asked the same things over and over and you do not answer

so? no mystery there

when you see a sentence with a question mark after it...it is a question..not a statement

perhaps you are also confused on that

Well why not? Note how the dragon even tempted with Psalm 91, the only time Satan quotes the Bible, yet it would seem that psalm in truth speaks of Jesus defeating him.
