In 1st Corinthians 13:13 the Apostle Paul writes " And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

And in Revelation 19:10 The Apostle John writes "......Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

And Jesus said " you search the scriptures daily, for in them you think you have eternal life, but these speak of Me "

So what do we observe here?

The scriptures are about a living and breathing relationship with Christ. Not based on how much you know, or how often you read, but upon spending time in fellowship with Christ.

It is about the activation of that relationship in the form of love, which is the spirit of prophecy, for God is love.

The entire scripture can be summed up in the everlasting commandments to Love the Lord, and to Love your neighbor as yourself.

Even as Christ loved you , and gave Himself up for you! And remember, not only for you, but for the entire world, both inside and outside the church.

as we get closer to our Lord, we find we know a whole lot less then we believed

your op is a great reminder!

1
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.

2
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

3
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,

4
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[SUP]c[/SUP]

5You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned themwith glory and honor.

6
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:

7
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,

8
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

9Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 8

I'm not getting this. (Not trying to argue. Just stating the truth.)

I don't get how you went from 1 Cor. 13 to Rev. 19. I also don't get what "spirit of" means. And I don't get what you're saying in all this.

Are you saying (and I'm really asking, not bringing up charges), that...
A. We don't need to study the Bible?
B. Study it with the reality of knowing it is a relationship with Christ and requires activation?
C. None of the above.

AND, if it's C, could you tell me what I missed entirely here?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not nitpicking. I really didn't get it, and there's a good possibility it was well worth getting.

the sheep rest quietly in the fresh pasture and lie beside cool refreshing streams in the highlands, trusting in the good word they have had

'these are good words' they say to each other 'and we can trust in them'

their heads turn sharply, ears turned down the hill

anger is careening towards them with fear in its eyes and purpose in its steps

the sheep move aside as the creature kneels beside the stream...'ahh...just thirsty says one sheep to the other'

'wait'...says another...'what's it doing?' 'oh no!' say three or four others

its'...its'....messing up the water...flinging mud and rocks and...and...now it's ripping up grass....

'why? why?'

anger rises, satisfied it has damaged and turning, smiles at the sheep and trundles past and back down the hill

a couple of sheep move slowly to the once clean water and the torn ground where grass has been pulled up by its tender roots

they shake their heads to the rest and move away

'we must go higher' says one...'where this anger cannot reach us'...says the other

'we must pray' says a sheep from the back of the small flock...'we must pray...for anger will not leave until love touches its heart and understanding comes...if we go higher, anger may hate even more and who knows what it will say then?'

The scriptures are about a promise. That Christ would come and pour out His Holy Spirit (Ghost) on all people.

God is Spirit and He is Love, if you have the Lord within you, then all things(Scripture)become a matter of the heart, instead of head knowledge only.

The Holy Word of God is Love in the form(Definition)of Jesus.

Every word concerning Heaven and earth will pass away, but the only thing which will carry forward is the Love of Christ shed abroad in your hearts by the Holy Ghost. Which is Jesus, the everlasting Father.

The only eternal everlasting Word of God is the name of Jesus.

Circulate around scripture, yes, but let only one thing settle: Jesus.
