Who do you want to 'lead' you??? who do you really want to love/serve???
Who is it Who gives you the will to 'live' another day???
Why do you 'wake-up' and say, 'Another Day'???, or do you even consider it
as 'another-day' to survive?

A lowly carpenter, but look how great He was defeating death, hell, and the grave, like Steven Seagal in the movie Under Siege,I'm just the cook, for you have to watch out for those guys who appear to have lowly positions, for they actually might be butt kickers.

steven seagal

right

just like him...all the butt kickers unite

that was so refreshing and insightful...seems my sarcasm button is turned a little higher than I usually have it on in the forums

people can always say this when they wake up:

this is the day that the Lord has made...I will rejoice and be glad in it!...hey ~ they can even sing it!...

A funny name associated with Jesus. Being a carpenter is not a lowly task. In fact there is a lot of pride in building with perfection. This is what Jesus is still doing. Building a perfect world where there is no death, illness, no sadness, no tears, etc.

"as 'another-day' to survive?" I would rather think of arising in the morning as 'another day closer to the Lord'

Good questions.

I suspect every person who has ever lived has struggled with that first one. "Who do you want to lead you?" Well, maybe except for those born into Royalty. :) Still, it is surely a question to be considered, and, given the state of things, i suspect the majority of peoples have made the wrong choice.

"Who do you really want to love/serve?" This one is a bit more complicated, as you inserted the word "really." Meaning that people love/serve those they really do not want to. And, in a way, this is true......the serve part anyway. Just consider all the folks who end up in a job/occupation they really do not want to do. They end up "serving" a Master they never intended to or wanted to.

"Why do you wake up and say Another day?" Sadly, those who do not have Christ in their hearts/lives often are not at peace within their souls, and the dawn of each day can lead to the doldrums of "just another day." This goes hand in hand with the last one "another day to survive." Many folks (in my opinion) see it just this way. There is no joy in their lives, no sense of accomplishment/fulfillment, no dreams or goals to strive for, no meaningful relationship(s). All one has to do is look around to know this is true. There is a lot of sorrow in this world. There is a lot of hurt, anguish, anger, and hate in this world. And, sometimes, it seems that the dawn of another day..........is just another day to survive.

Thank God He sent His beloved Son! For in Christ Jesus is our hope, our joy, our comfort, our strength, and our salvation!

I was a carpenter for awhile, I guess that means I'm in charge . :)

Reminds of that poem;

Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another small village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He was an itinerant preacher.

He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but Himself...

While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth – His coat. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Twenty long centuries have come and gone, and today He is a centerpiece of the human race. I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] 'One Solitary Life'.
