Paul....Romans 13 :8-14 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."

Jesus...Luke 10 :25-37 "And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
"And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain PRIEST that way: and when he saw him, HE PASSED BY ON THE OTHER SIDE. And likewise a LEVITE, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and PASSED BY ON THE OTHER SIDE on the other side. "

But a certain SAMARITAN, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And WENT TO HIM, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that SHEWED MERCY ON HIM. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and DO THOU LIKEWISE."

To show mercy, to be merciful, to show compassion" those things mean to be as the samaritan was , notice the Levite, and the other priest crossed the road and passed Him bye, The One who Loved Him was the One Who went to Him, put him on His own horse, bandaged him, got him a room at the inn, offered reimbursement later if he didnt pay the keeper enough....The samaritan, Layed down Himself seeing His brother in Need and acted He gave the man Love when He needed it, he "shewed mercy'' unto Him. He did " as He would have another do to him in that situation. Thats the fulfilling Love that the Law is intended for. Love fulfills the Law because Gods commandments outline what Love does, and does not do. The gospel teaches us to be merciful always even when someone is provoking us, even when justice says revenge, This is His commandment, Love each other as commanded, in the ways taught ."

john says this
1John 3:14-24 "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 15Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 16Hereby PERCEIVE we THE LOVE OF GOD, because HE laid down his life for us: and WE ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

But whoso hath this world's good, and SEETH HIS BROTHE IN NEED, and shutteth up his bowels of COMPASSION from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in DEED and in TRUTH. And HEREBY WE KNOW THAT WE ARE OF THE TRUTH , and shall assure our hearts before him.

.....For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart CONDEMN US NOTt, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, BECAUSE we keep his commandments, and DO those things that are pleasing in his sight.
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and LOVE ONE ANOTHER, as he gave us COMMANDMENT. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth IN HIM, and HE IN HIM. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the SPIRIT which he hath given us." ( John 6:63)

James says this

James 2:8-13 "If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in ONE POINT, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have JUDGEMENT WITHOUT MERCY, that hath SHEWED NO MERCY; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment."

We are commanded to Love as Jesus taught us, because we too WILL face the Judgement for our deeds. Wheter we walked on bye the ones with needs we could meet, looking down on them passing by the other side, turning our heads......or whether we were the good samaritan the ones who clothe the naked in His name, those who feed the hingry in Him name, those who help the stranger in his name. believing in Jesus in no way excludes you from believing the things He taught :) quite the contrary, it means you believe that He is the One to believe and follow His principles, His ways of life, the ways of Gods children. its puzzling when being a christian means " you arent included in Christs doctrine such as the sermon on the mount, or the things he taught the multitudes Those things are found in all of the apostles and prophets the same principles made eternal By the words Of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.....Not real popular top believe but id say when the apostles His messengers to the world say simply " Love is the fulfillment of the Law" they are referring to the Lords teachings on this in whom they Belive. and " Love is the Law" isnt actually a teaching or understanding, it is a summary phrase that comes from understanding that Gods commandments are Love for one another.....

1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."

1 John 5:2-3 (ESV), "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome."

Isaiah 51:7, “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My Torah(Instructions/Law): do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their revilings.”

Exodus 20:6, "But showing love to thousands who love Me by keeping My Laws."

1 Corinthians 2:9, "But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the mind of man the things which YHWH has prepared for those who love Him."

Proverbs 6:23, "For the commandments are a lamp, the Law is light, and reproofs of instruction are the way to life."

Psalm 1:2, "But his delight is in the Law of YHWH, and in His Law he meditates day and night."
Matthew 12 :18 "Behold my servant, ( isaiah 53)whom I have chosen( isaiah 42:1); my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased ( luke 9:35): I will put my spirit upon him ( Luke 4:18), and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.( John 9:39)

Moses...deuteronomy 18:18-19 "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto MY WORDS WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME, I will require it of him."

Jesus.....john 12:48-50 "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak."

Peter....acts 3:18-26 "But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. 24Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities."

Paul...acts 26:20-23 "But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. 21For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. 22Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: 23That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Psalm 119:169-174, “My cry comes before You, O יהוה ; Make me understand according to Your word. Let my prayer come before You; Deliver me according to Your word. My lips pour forth praise, For You teach me Your Laws. My tongue sings of Your word, For all Your commands are righteousness. Your hand is a help to me, For I have chosen Your orders. I have longed for Your deliverance, O יהוה, And Your Torah (Instructions/Law) is my delight.”

Mat 7:12-14, "Therefore, all things you want men to do to you, do the same to them, for this is (the intent of the) Law and the Prophets. Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who go that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it."

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

john 14:5 "Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6Jesus saith unto him, I AM THE WAY,(Matt 7:14) the TRUTH ( john 8:31-32, john 14:15-17), and the LIFE:(John 1:john 11:25-27) no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

john 8:31-32 "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in MY WORD then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free."

Same thing....

john 14:15-17 "If ye love me, keep my commandments.16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;17Even the SPIRIT OF TRUTH; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye KNOW him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 11:25-27 "
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and THE LIFE: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? 27She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world."

Hebrews 7:12-25 "For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also. 13He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. 14For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. 15And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, 16one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. 17For it is declared:
“You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek.”[SUP]a[/SUP]

18The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless 19(for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.20And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath, 21but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him:“The Lord has swornand will not change his mind:
‘You are a priest forever.’ ”[SUP]b[/SUP]

22Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant.23Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office;24but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25Therefore he is able to save completely[SUP]c[/SUP] those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them."

Hebrews 1:1-4 "In the PAST God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in THESE ;LAST DAYS he has spoken to us by HIS SON, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."

Hebrews 4:4 "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into The HEAVENS, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession."

hebrews 9:15-16 "
And for this cause he is the MEDIATOR of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the DEATH OF THE TESTATOR..

Hebrews 4:1-15, "Seeing then that we have a great High Priest Who has ascended into the heavens: Yahshua the Son of YHWH, let us hold fast our profession. For we do not have a High Priest Who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all ways tempted as we are--yet was without sin."

Hebrews 9:11-12, "But the Messiah came near as a High Priest over the righteous things to come, with the great and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation;Nor through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once, for all, having obtained eternal redemption."

For it was written long before it happened:

Psalm 110:1-7, (World English Bible)
1YHWH says to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet."2YHWH will send forth the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of your enemies.3Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.4YHWH has sworn, and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek."5The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.6He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.7He will drink of the brook in the way; therefore he will lift up his head."

Hebrews 5:1-10, (World English Bible)
1For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness. 3Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself. 4Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was. 5So also Christ didn't glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, "You are my Son. Today I have become your father." 6As he says also in another place, "You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek." 7He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear, 8though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered. 9Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation, 10named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.”

For it was written long before it happened:

Psalm 89:26-37, "He will call out to Me; You are my Father, O YHWH! You are the Rock of my salvation! And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast with Him. And I will establish his Seed forever, and his throne will be as the days of heaven. Should his children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change what that has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness--I cannot lie, and I say to David: His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky."

Did the Law ever love me? Did the Law ever sacrifice itself for me? Did the Law ever die for me? On the contrary, it accuses me, it frightens me, it drives me crazy. Somebody else saved me from the Law, from sin and death unto eternal life. That Somebody is the Son of God (Who loved me and gave Himself for me). Hence, Christ is no Moses, no tyrant, no lawgiver, but the Giver of grace, the Savior, full of mercy….. Visualize Christ in these His true colors. I do not say that it is easy. Even in the present diffusion of the Gospel light, I have much trouble to see Christ as Paul portrays Him. So deeply has the diseased opinion that Christ is a lawgiver sunk into my bones. You younger men are a good deal better off than we who are old. You have never become infected with the nefarious errors on which I suckled all my youth, until at the mention of the name of Christ I shivered with fear. You, I say, who are young may learn to know Christ in all His sweetness. For Christ is Joy and Sweetness to a broken heart. Christ is a Lover of poor sinners and such a Lover that He gave Himself for us. Now if this is true, and it is true, then are we never justified by our own righteousness.

The GIVER OF THE LAW Gave His only begotten Son to save you<<<His only Son gave His pain, suffering, His blood, His very Life in agonizing fashion " excruciating" fashion actually Same Jesus who said " if you Love me, obey my commands" really simple stuff. God is right in every way, He isnt threatening us, He is telling us the truth so that all who believe Him can be saved through Faith. just a thought, you shouldnt speak against Gods Law even the Law of Moses though it isnt our way, it teaches us to understand what Jesus means to us. and there are terrible warnings not to speak against Gods Laws.....Just a thought though

Hebrews 7:12 "
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a CHANGE ALSO OF THE LAW."

Hebrews 1:1-4 "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they."

Hebrews is about the fact that there is a covenant that is new, a new priesthood, a new tabernacle, a new Law that came through the new mediator....Christians are bound by the Words Jesus spoke on the earth thats our spiritual Law. Jews are bound by the Mosaic Laws given to the isrealites in the desert. the book of hebrews is important stuff to grasp

"Unlike Moses, we have nothing to hide. Everything is out in the open with us. He wore a veil so the children of Israel wouldn’t notice that the glory was fading away – and they didn’t notice. They didn’t notice it then and they don’t notice it now, don’t notice that there’s nothing left behind that veil.

Even today when the proclamations of that old, bankrupt government are read out, they can’t see through it. Only Christ can get rid of the veil so they can see for themselves that there’s nothing there.

Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are – face to face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it!"

It is so insanely humorous to me when I see people talk about loving because they have bgeen commanded to. It makes me wonder how sad their spouses must feel.

The Law has Love contained in it. Jesus Christ did not come to destroy the law.
He did, however fulfill the law of priesthood.
He fulfilled the law of sacrifice once and for all.
He fulfilled all geograqfically related law by giving us the Kingdom.
He fulfilled all clean laws by making all foods clean when received with thanksgiving.......blessing our food makes it clean.
He fulfilled all punishmet for breaking the laws of morality by providing grace for us all, but this is no excuse to live to break those laws of decency.

Anyone who loves, loves because Jesus christ loves us. There is only one true love, and that is God. There are imitations, but only One True.

Jesus fulfilled all of the Law, by being, in Himself, the culmination of all that the Law pointed to pictorially and custodially. He IS what the Law was only a shadow of. He IS the reality of the Law. He IS the perfect expression of Gods character, the revelation of Gods Glory.

We live by the law of Christ now - not the law of Moses. The law of love in us will keep and rise above the intent of the law of Moses. We live by the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

1 John 5:2-3 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.

[SUP]3 [/SUP] For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

Just what are these commandments in the New Covenant?

Not the 613 laws of Moses. John told us what these commandments are in the New Covenant earlier in the letter.

1 John 3:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

Believing in all that Christ has done for us is what we do now - this releases His life in us to manifest outwardly to reflect His fruit in and through us.

Matt 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1-2, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahanan, saw the holy city, YHWH Shammah, coming down from YHWH out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and YHWH Himself will be with them, and be their Father.”

It is the Law of YHWH, given through Moses...

Malakyah 4:1-4, “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said יהוה of hosts. Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Ḥorĕḇ for all Yisra’ĕl – laws and right-rulings.”

With the eternal priesthood after the order of the malak zadiq...

Hebrews 9:11-12, "But the Messiah came near as a High Priest over the righteous things to come, with the great and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation; Nor through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once, for all, having obtained eternal redemption."

Yah does not change, and He knows the end from the beginning...

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Psalm 89:26-37, "He will call out to Me; You are my Father, O YHWH! His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky."

for it is written in the final revelation, from the word of Yahshua to John:

Paul who knew the law better then anyone had this to say about the purpose of the law.

The purpose of the law was :

1) To reveal our sinful state - Rom 3:20

2) To inflame sin - Rom 7:8

3) To minister death in us - Rom 7:10-11

4) To lead us to Christ - Gal 3:24

The law is good, holy and spiritual but we are in the flesh. Jesus fulfilled all the law!
When we read the law we should be seeing Jesus in it. Jesus did not save us so that we could go back to the law.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is how we live now, and the law of liberty in Christ Jesus and the law of love, the law of faith ( the Law is NOT of faith - the just shall live by faith ). The law of Christ - Himself is how we live now.

But the purpose of the law was not for righteousness or salvation at all, it was to manifest sin in our lives, so that the purpose of grace which is in Jesus is to manifest salvation. Grace does not set aside the law, but completely satisfied it.

Christians are dead to the Law, been released from the Law and are NOT under the Law. It can't get any plainer than that.

People are free to do whatever they want in relation to the Law - it does not make one righteous nor is it for salvation.

If someone wants to observe a particular day , festivals or eat or not eat some kinds of foods..etc - then they are free to do so.
These have no bearing on one's salvation or righteousness as all that is based on the finished work of Christ.

It's where people are saying "You must observe these things or do these things in the Law or you are not obeying God" - that's where the twisting comes in and it is a perversion of the gospel of the grace of Christ.

This is an anti-Christ belief system religion which has the "appearance" of good but it is really denying the Lord Jesus Christ's finished work. Hebrews 4:10
