With medical proof, no less!

Go ahead. Let me know what's wrong with this one.

(Hey, I'm a skeptic too, so tried to see why this wasn't a miracle.)

Anybody who didn't believe God brings people back to life, but do now?

I've just seen lots of people on this board say they'd need medical proof. It seems this is just that.

I don't believe it because I saw it on a video. I believe because the Bible says these things and many other miracles will be done. For the Christian, believing is seeing. It's according to our faith. Amen!!

Don't the scriptures tell us to judge not according to appearance but by righteous judgment.

While I am not saying that I don't believe that facts of the testimony, it is just that the facts might be explained by an alternative explanation than the one presented.

So what is the medical definition used to defined death? You might be surprised to find out that clinical death doesn't actually have a medically established definition so the criteria one Doctor might use to consider a person death might not be the same criteria another Doctor might use.

Then the video itself only states that the person had a heart attack and their heart stopped pumping. During open heart surgery, the heart is stopped and circulation of the blood is done mechanically, so therefore are they clinically dead? Or are they what some might call a state of suspended animation?

Notice in the video they don't reference any of his other vitals such as respiratory or EEG. So does that mean that respiratory and brain functions had not been affected by the heart attack. Since brain damage begins to occur within the first couple of minutes of oxygen deprivation, that is why cpr and chest compressions are so critical until the pulse of the heart is restored.

While the video gives one impression it is also careful not to give any specific facts such as the length of time from death until the time when reanimation occurred. Was it two minutes, 20 minutes and hour? How do we know that the man the voice the Doctor heard telling him to pray for wasn't his own soul considering the passage Physician heal thyself, maybe they didn't actually do all they could have done which prompted the Doctor to return to the 'corpse' after hearing the voice the second time.

Then there is just the simple question, why would be sent back from the presence of the LORD back to the physical world that if by your own admission holds it is a fallen world that has been corrupted with lies?

The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
Prov 21:6
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:14

Dude? There is a medical definition of death. When a doctor "calls it" (i.e. proclaims the patient is dead), the patient is dead. Guaranteed no heartbeat for 40 minutes, and no respiration (no respiration, no oxygen, no oxygen, no purpose for the heart to beat, and no oxygen means the heart will stop beating), and no brain activity. Guaranteed! No oxygen after 10 minutes, and there is brain damage. Brain damage increases the longer the heart doesn't give oxygen. Unless this guy was left in a cryogenic state for a while, (his core temperature was lowered drastically), which wouldn't happen since it happened in Florida so he didn't fall under the ice, and he did walk into the hospital, so we know he couldn't have been in a cryogenic state, this man was dead!

It did say how long he was dead. He wasn't put on an ECMO, so nothing was generating his blood like they do in open heart surgery. Of course they had used an EKG if they could. (There is a chance they couldn't. Shock causes the body to sweat, and the electrodes don't stick in that case.) They also did blood tests and urine tests. They did Xrays and CT scans, etc. They did a whole lot because I've seen what hospitals do with heart attack victims.

As for why would they brought him back from the dead? Did you even watch the video? Because God told him to! This man was NOT in the presence of the Lord. He wasn't a believer. How about watching the video this time?
