An Assignment My Pastor asked me to do:(Leave Comments under please, and no debating if possible? Stick to the topic if you must debate)

Ever since Adam sinned for the first time in Eden there has been blood shed to redeem us of our sins. “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” (Genesis 3:21) This was a covenant with God and man that we shall sacrifice an animal’s life to save our own. Since then there has been many animal sacrifices so we can be saved, because we can not keep all of God’s laws and we fall short every time. “For we have all sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23) Although, the blood of the sacrifice redeems us it, it also gives us strength, victory, protection, and gives us life. All of these blood sacrifices in the Old Testament can be seen as a foreshadow of the ultimate sacrifice and eternal covenant between God and man. Jesus Christ’s blood was the ultimate sacrifice, and eternal covenant “...our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant” (Hebrews 13:20), as he was the “...Lamb of God...” (John 1:29)

In other words, the Blood redeems us from our sins “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:17) “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14) Because God loved us so much, he came to Earth to be our ultimate sacrifice, he gave up himself, to save each and every one of us. Without this sacrifice, we would still be sacrificing animals on a daily basis. God could see that we couldn’t live up to his standards and that we would fall short, so he came here and died for us to redeem or buy our sins. The blood redeems us by washing over us and cleansing us. “And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:14) “...and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1-7) Once the blood washes over us through Baptism we are born again into this world and can see the light that the God holds for us. We become new creatures and all of our sins are blotted out. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” (Acts 3:19)

Likewise, through the Blood of Jesus we are protected, given strength, which consequently leads to victory and righteousness. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb,...” (Revelation 12:11) We are able to overcome the temptation and sin in life that the enemy puts before us though the blood of “The Lamb”. As one hymn says “There is power, power, wonder-working power, In the Blood of the Lamb”, because through Jesus all things can be done. However, not only does the Blood give us strength it protects us. In the Old Testament when God sent the Angel of Death to pass through the streets to free the slaves from the Pharaoh. “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 12:13) “For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.” (Exodus 12:23) This was another foreshadow of the Blood of Jesus and how it shall protect us through all of our day’s.

In addition the Blood gives us life. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” (Leveticus 17:11) Not only does our physical blood that runs through our veins give us life, but the blood of Jesus gives us life spiritually. “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:53-54) Jesus clearly states that without his blood, we have no life, and if we do have his life, we will have eternal life. Just as if we had no blood pumping in and out of our hearts, we would have no life.

In essence Jesus’ Blood gives us life spiritually, it gives us strength, victory, and protection and most importantly it redeems us. Jesus was our perfect sacrifice, The Lamb of God. We should thank him every day for his Blood that does so many things for us. It has been proven time and again in the scriptures that it gives us life, redeems us, protects and gives us victory. It will continue to redeem people, protect us, and give us victory until the end of our days. For we have all “fallen short of the glory of God” and he will redeem us and give us eternal life through his Blood.

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins,so the blood is very important.

Adam and Eve are an example of how some people accept an incomplete truth, and not the whiole truth.

Like some churches that sprinkle water instead of submerging in water like the Bible says.

Like some people who believe you can live in sin and still make it to heaven instead of being like Christ.

When Adam and Eve sinned, they were ashamed, and put fig leaves on them.

God said not so,but fully clothed them.

That is like the effort of man trying to cover up their shame scantly, with partial truth, but God said you will be fully clothed with the truth.

That is like man's effort to save himself, but God's way is the only way to save ourself.

God did the first animal sacrifice when He clothed Adam and Eve.
