1 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court,
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,
[SUP]9 [/SUP]If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation;
And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the Lord.
[SUP]33 [/SUP]Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers. 2 Chronicles 1-33

What brought me more closer to christian religion, is that I was enthused with christians everywhere reiterating life is to be lived like christ, as his imitators. So then, I believe the vision that if it is pleasing then it is "the right and the good", if not then it is not christ like, it is bad. In the bible there were also stories that Jesus got angry, Jesus cleared the temple of the moneychangers and animal-sellers, He showed great emotion and anger (Matthew 21:12-13; Mark 11:15-18; John 2:13-22). Jesus’ emotion was described as “zeal” for God’s house (John 2:17) Although, it sounded to me like a protest of teritory, bec it is the church it is his teritory, therefore he has the right to encourage his discipline as it is his teritory, but how about joshua when he claims jericho. Doesn't that justifies palestinians to being angry? I didnt answer the questions, but the question got me the thought too.

No polling necessary.

We always fight back just as did our Savior, Jesus Christ. That would not be with fists or a weapon made by man, no, that would be with the two-edged sword of His teaching, of His Mouth, ...

Joh 7:32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.

Joh 7:45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?
Joh 7:46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.

Jesus spoke so boldly that He shook up the officers, and cast doubt in their mind that He might be telling the truth about Himself, and God,and they thought we better leave this man alone, for if He is telling the truth we do not want to go against God.

Luk 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

We can speak boldly like Jesus and cast doubt in to enemies minds that we may be telling the truth, words that they cannot gainsay,or resist.

They could not touch Jesus until the time came, and nothing can happen unless God allows it.

Yes, I have always considered these passages when asked about "self-defense." We know by all o fthe teachings of Jesus Christ. I know of none of the Biblical martyrs who fought back after Christ's advent. Enen King David was considered by God to have bloodguilt, and it is certain Samson also, but it is not mentioned as such. God has said it, something meaning, so what if I justify the ungodly......and so it goes. We have nothing in this age to fight for, our fight is with the sword of Christ's mouth.......His Word and nothing less.

Joh 7:32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.

Joh 7:45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?

HEB. 4:12.
For The Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a Discerned of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Rightous anger in Gods eyes... where aloud to be cross at certain things... the book of esther. she was married to a king and they where going to kill thousands people and esther interviened... she stop thousands of people being killed..
God uses us to intervene...

The king was so cross instead he orded the killing of the perpratator... the story is this evil man was going to kill all the jews.. esther said no its not the peoples fault its one man.. enough said. and amen.
