So, if someone attacks your family or friends, you won't fight back? If someone comes at you with a knife, you won't fight back? If a country subjugates women and children into slaves, you won't fight back? If radical extremists start taking over your country, you won't fight back?
As I see it, the Bible is charged with God telling his people to completely annihilate other nations and he clearly told us to put on our battle gear, but you won't fight back?
Remind me not to walk around Philly with you. I'd be in more trouble than you'd be, because at least I'd try to protect your 6. (Not very good at fighting, but I'd try. lol)
Use as many scenarios as you want, it doesn't change what Jesus taught; and Jesus was very clear on this matter of unconditional love and fighting. You fallaciously argue that God told His people to fight other nations; which He did in the Old Testament. Those were the Jews. His people today are Christians. Jesus taught a different way of living. The OT is not applicable to how Christians should live their life. If you are going to follow one example or law from the OT then you better follow them all. Who are you or anyone to say which laws we can follow and which ones we don't have to? Do you work on the Sabbath, do you kill disobedient children, do you expect a wife to offer a blessing sacrifice after she has a baby, do you expect there to be sanctuary cities for certain criminals, do you eat catfish or hogs, do you expect farmers to leave the corners of their fields for the poor to harvest to have something to eat, do you expect all males to be physically circumcised, do you consider the Levite people to be of higher standing than anyone else, do you make grain offerings, do you sacrifice animals, do you observe all the religious festivals like Feast of Unleavened Bread, and hundreds of other laws you can find in Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy?
Hebrews1:1-2 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
1 Peter 2:21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Luke 9:23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Ephesians 2:11- 22 Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,”
which is performed in the flesh by human hands—
remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both
groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity,
which is the Law of commandments
contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man,
thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner
stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
Galatians 3:15-29 Brethren, I speak in terms of human relations: even though it is
only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds conditions to it. Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as
referring to many, but
rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ. What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise. Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made. Now a mediator is not for one
party only; whereas God is
only one. Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law. But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our tutor
to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
Hebrews 8:13 When He said, “A new
covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is [SUP][[/SUP]

Matthew 17:1-8 Six days later Jesus *took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and *led them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, I will make three tabernacles here, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!” When the disciples heard
this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified. And Jesus came to
them and touched them and said, “Get up, and do not be afraid.” And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone.
The battle gear God told us to put on is clearly spiritual not physical, very easy to understand.
Ephesians 6:10-18 And in the same verses Paul says our battle is NOT against flesh and blood.
