praise you O Lord

....

people praise God with me!
He has helped me overcome two sin issues in my life, one long-term (fallout from it).
I am so grateful.
it's so cool not to be repenting and grieving over it.
NOW...I need His help to go forward and really start to help people.
I know we love and serve our neighbors as we work in our vocations and callings (fathers, children, wives, dentists, accountants etc), but I'm way overdue to actually get out into the world and do something extra.

but - thank you Lord for helping me overcome!!

Praise God for the people with big hearts who take in strays, just
as God takes us in, even after we have strayed far from Him...

Lemon was picked up by Animal Control after being found in an alley, dehydrated and severely underweight. She couldn’t lift her head, sit up, or walk. She was taken to an emergency animal hospital, then to the Kent County Animal Shelter in Michigan. Even though Lemon was in rough shape, the staff noticed her fighting spirit because her tail was always wagging.

Jennifer Collier, an employee at the shelter, decided to take Lemon home for eight months of rehabilitation before Lemon went up for adoption. Collier made this video, and wrote and performed the song for it. Lemon is now in her new home and living a happy life as a normal dog.

Tell me, how'd I end up here alone
Calling, trying to find my way home

The darkness is heavy
The night seems to go on for years
The cold never ending
The weight of the world on these bones

My body is broken
My heart is untouched by the fear
Take me away someplace other than here now

Help me open the heaviest doors
Show me the life I was missing before

And every step that I take feels like hundreds of miles
But I'll keep on going
I've waited too long to be found

Give me the strength to keep getting up off of the ground
Someday I'll know what it's like to be kept around

Heart of God under skin and bones
Dispel this cold and take me home

Gone are the days where I'm wondering if I'll be found
Gone is the haze that hung over a future unknown

I used to think I would disappear into the ground
I'm not afraid because I'm on my way home

Heart of God under skin and bones
Dispel this cold and take me home

Gone are the days where I'm wondering if I'll be found
Gone is the haze that hung over a future unknown

I used to think I would disappear into the ground
I'm not afraid because I'm on my way home

Hey now! It wasn't like you were sloughing. You had really good reasons to be out of commission for a while. You've just been recommissioned. Congrats! And will pray that God uses you, (although I can tell from your posts for a while, it also wasn't like you weren't being used by God even when going through your trials.)

What do you mean by this?
Is it fine to not repent, confess and accept forgiveness from the King?
And grief is part of the letting go of behaviour and the damage done.

To not do this does harm to your soul, so I cannot rejoice with you, or
even agree that in Christ this makes any sense.

o gee thanks.

what I meant was, I've been grieved and repentant for a long long time, struggling against this stuff and I'm finally free of it at last.
and you won't rejoice?

all your posts about just that thing and now you reveal yourself for what you are.

Praise the Lord you are free of that which bound you, Amen.

Thankyou for clarifying what you meant.

This place is very confusing, and often people mean something different than they write
or I assume so I have to ask.

And no all my posts are not about this thing, but I am working through issues
against a continuous barrage of doubt, cynicism, poking and generally being
unhelpful. It is not as if we all want to understand more and walk closer
to Christ, or have I missed something?

And I am not an easy believism follower, though it appears there are many here. :)

I just praise the Lord for His word and His desire that we grow and learn more.
