The Holy Spirit knew what He was doing when He had Paul write 1 Corinthians....

Some of them were going to temple prostitutes for sex, they were taking each other to court, they were in divisions and strife, they were not treating the poor amongst them right...etc.

Paul was saying that those in Corinth were acting like mere men and men of flesh - in other words not being spiritually minded.

1 Corinthians 3:1-4 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]
I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able,

[SUP]3 [/SUP]
for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?

[SUP]4 [/SUP] For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are you not mere men?

I noticed that in verse 1 Paul says that they are "babes in Christ".

- not that you are going to hell because you are sinning.
Or that because they were sinning - that they are not born of God.

When you know what Col. 2:11 means - it too will help you to understand what this means as well. The circumcision of Christ is of the heart where the heart of the believer - the new creation in Christ is "cut away" from the flesh. The flesh never dies my friend until the spirit leaves the body.

Those that belong to Christ have been cut away from the flesh or have crucified the flesh. We are not "in the flesh" but "in the spirit". Romans 8:10

Galatians 5:24 (NASB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
I wonder why you didn't bold this part of the scripture...

Because you still have its passions and desires!!! You shouldn't have them, Those are crucified unless he have believed in vain!

I no longer have them. I have recieved Jesus Christ. I want what he wants, He gave me his mind, He gave me His Spirit, and He has given me a message for His people: You shall be judged first as it is written. Let there not be a single worker of iniquity amongst your members. Do you believe a branch of My vine produces fruits of sin while abiding in Me and therefore cause My vine to produce even the smallest of a bad fruit! Woe to you. My Vine produces My Fruit, there is only righteousness. Do you vainly believe you are in my vine while producing fruits of sin? You call the fruits of the enemy fruits of My own!! Destroy your members on the earth that cause you to error or they will destroy you. Be not deceived, you will reap what you sow. Repent from your wickedness or perish. A servant of sin is no servant of mine.

i seriously doubt God "gave you a message".

you either ser-i-ously underestimate the righteous requirements of the Law, or ser-i-ously underestimate the sinfulness of your own heart. or both.

as a farewell, repent and believe the Gospel.

please, if anyone feels so inclined, don't 'like' this post. i don't like saying it, myself. :(

If people are in sin what does scripture tell us to do?
Repent confess and get right with God.

A persons faith or theoretical standing has nothing to do with it.
Hell is the lake of fire for sinners, not saints. You are a sinner because you sin.
I dont care what you say your on my ignor list.................

There is no such thing as sinless perfection in the flesh and that Christians will never again commit any type of sinning and give in to the flesh in some form or other. Or the religious nonsense that if they do - they are now child of the devil.

As notmyown has said either we are diluting the law down or we have no idea what the other works of the flesh are.

The ones thinking they are not "sinning" by not smoking, drinking, having sex..etc. could be the very ones that slander others in the body of Christ. These are in the same list as living the homosexual lifestyle - all of them bring destruction of some sort to us while in this earth.

I have seen here in CC that some of those that say we are to walk righteously ( which I agree with ) are the very ones that exhibit malice, and slander others in the body of Christ and are full of hypocrisy. These we just need to avoid until they repent and start exhibiting behavior that makes it conducive to having healthy discussions.

Religious nonsense my friend.

The flesh with "it's" desires will always be here until we go to be with the Lord or He comes. That's why we walk by the spirit so that we don't fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

Galatians 5:16 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

Thats right. The flesh is not eradicated at conversion nor at any time during the Christians life. To think it has been is to give the devil carte blanche in your life.

exactly. the more one thinks he does not need God, that they are righteous, the more room the enemy has to operate in their lives.

Oh I fully agree.....that is how God deals with continual sin in a believe....there are quite a few here that reject this truth.....many miss the balance found in the scriptures when it comes to sin in a believer....going way to far to the left or right…..
God cleanses us from all unrighteousness on a continual basis. Sin only comes into fruition when the lust (which is inherent in our flesh) conceives to bring forth sin (James 1:15).

I do believe God's promise that He will provide a way of escape when we are tempted (1 Cor 10:13) and I wish I could say that I have always taken the escape He has provided. Sadly, I sometimes fall short.

That does not mean I am “of the devil” as OP would have me believe.

While we abide in the Vine, the Vinedresser (Father) still has to cleanse us —-

John 15:2 every branch that beareth fruit, he (the Father, the Vinedresser) purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

The word “purge” means to cleanse.

Jesus would actually tell the truth pal......how is it that you and your cronies can continually push sinless perfectionism when the bible proves it to be poppycock!
Not me. I am talking fulfillment, walking in the spirit.
You want to make enemies, and are happy to label people.
I will not agree with extremes, but I do not dismiss people on a few posts.

If you are serious you have to show your point with love. I thought you would
know that being my superior.

Never once said nor indicated I was your superior....so the stab was uncalled for as well as the sarcasm....this thread has been started three times now...and will go bye bye once it comes to the attention of the MOD....You guys have been pushing your sinless perfectionism for weeks and weeks and refuse to acknowledge the truth that a blind man who is deaf could understand....the numerous verses in context that prove your error.....and instead of humbling yourself and accepting the truth you set your face like flint and refuse to acknowledge error........so....Peter, what you say.....the ones who know better will not stand idly by and let you lead people astray.....the losers in this whole deal are the weak and immature that you lead astray......no worries mate...you may appear biblical and every now and then say something worthy.....in the end....you will answer and it will not be to me pal........!

People can claim what they like in Christ. It might be true for them in the way they mean it.
How many just listen to testimony before they criticize?

If someone says I am sinning, amen. Please show me so I can get right with God.
If they say I insult them, show me where so I can know how I have done wrong.

Most of these guys end up being odd. One believes in reincarnation so is not really
a believer. Some have delusions of grandeur. The question is can you love them, or
are you more interested in winning than knowing. Love always wants to know and
be appropriate because everybody matters. Jesus died for us all, so love like Him.

If I am evil to love and encourage, have you met Jesus and who he spoke to?
Do you know how few know of just a listening ear, or a loving heart?
And why are you here? To really love and learn, or just make a point? LP

You have already condemned me, assuming you are saved and I am lost.
You have not understood you should fear sinners who preach sin is not an
issue, when sin is evil, forever. But I know you.

You label me incorrectly and say I will face judgement. But what for?
Baiting people and not listening that you do is not a good platform.
You are the main contributors here which is ironic. You must hate
so badly what you think is being shared and claim the right to bad
mouth me. It is not Christ's way. Maybe you do not know this?
The fruit is spikes and thistles. Do you have another side?

I wasnt sinless, then I died. I was literally buried in baptism with Him, I was then raised up like He was and now walk in newness of life. Romans 6- the message behind this thread. Those who are yet still asleep cannot wake others up.
Out of curiosity what denomination church do you belong too?

Pentecostal by any chance?

How do you know you are awake and others are asleep?

Does God ever chastens you?

Go did up a post where I condemned you....your doctrine YES....you....not hardly.....You amaze me....one who claims to be sinless sure sins a lot by the things you say and accuse of.....!

I just want to say That i have authority in christ to defend his word.. i dont know all his word and i do lose my rag. im only human peter..

To say that is something else is just a bit rude.. but then you have yourr persumtions peter.. being a sinless perfection nut like your new found friend who your defending by attacking his opressers..

You dont see it mate but im going to shed some light..

A dear brother became so over worked trying to show someone that sinless perfection was not right...

The only way he could do that was to test his spirit.. (he wasnt getting the message..

I told him to attack his pride and see what happens..

Peter he fell badly like your starting to my friend

Peter it not to late to turn your back on sinless perfection because a dear lost brother who was 65 died of a heart attack trying to help you guys out... love you brother:p

Well obviously you are not listening. I just want to praise the Lord and bless His name.
Now people used to preach repentance and faith, but the fruit of the rebellion we see is
attacking righteousness. The words I share are simple so it is not the sharing that is the
problem but those who hate what they have decided is religion.

Labels are wrong, it is the heart that matters. So I encourage all to purify their hearts
and walk with Christ.
