Good evening! A long day on a grand jury. The real world can be very ugly. I must remind myself that God expects us to remain joyful at all times! It's hard but I'll keep trying.

Hi delightinhim,

I was on jury duty once and enjoyed it, although it was a civil case. Is yours a criminal case? And yes, there is an ugly world out there and getting uglier the
closer the time comes for our Lord to return.

Yeah, the joy of the Lord is our strength for each new day. What I have found is that abiding in Jesus and in His word and prayer is what brings me joy.

I'll be praying for you to have the joy of the Lord during this difficult time. How long do you think it will take?

Don't play the victim. I know a falsely charged christian that went to jail UNJUSTLY and reached many for the cause of Christ. And Was happy and content with outcome.

And if the charges are true...........gird up your loins.

You're a bit judgmental. No place did I say I was accused. I thought this was a safe place to find company during my separation. I was obviously wrong.

She said she was on a jury in the first few words.

Who's playing the victim? He asked a question?

Who's judging you? No one said you accused of anything.

Seems the three of you need to step back and read more closely.

[for me anyway] God does not expect us to remain joyful at all times.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy." (John 16:20)

"And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you." (John 16:22)

There shall be a time when our joy shall be everlasting, but not now in this present evil world.

Joyful thought: Someday God will exact perfect punishment for all those crimes.

I pray God's mercy on the targets and the criminals.

And...

Lord, let Delight see you working all this our for your glory. Also help her to lean on your comfort and secruity after a long day on that grand jury. Amen.

Oh my goodness that must be hard to listen too and see. I can see why you might have nightmares. I can imagine that it would be hard to "joy in the Lord" during those trials. Just keep in mind that that we have one that is not of this world. One that we can turn too when we hear and see things like that. Remember too that "You" are not of this world also. You are Gods child and His arms of protection are around you. I will be praying that God protects you from nightmares so you may sleep in peace. God bless you.
