Hebrews 1:1-2 "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners SPAKE IN TIMES PAST unto the fathers BY THE PROPHETS, Hath in these LAST DAYS SPOKEN UNTO US BY HIS SON, whom he hath APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS, by whom also he made the worlds."

Mark 1:1 "The beginning of the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD"

Mark 1:14-15 "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD, And saying, THE TIME IS FULFILLED, and THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND: REPENT ye, and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL" <<<

Matthew 4:16-17 "The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.From that time Jesus began to PREACH, and to say, REPENT: for the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND."

Matthew 4:23 "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."

Matthew 9:35 "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."

Luke 4:18"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to PREACH THE GOSPEL to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to PREACH DELIVERANCE to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" (ISAIAH 61:1)

john 3: 31-36 "He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received HIS TESTIMONY hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent SPEAKETH THE WORDS OF GOD: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath GIVEN ALL THINGS INTO HIS HANDS. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that BELIEVETH NOT THE SON shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." ( deuteronomy 18:15-19, acts 3 :22-26)

John 8:23 "And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. "

John 12: 48-50 "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak."

John 14:6"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO MAN cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 14:15-17 "If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."

john 14:23-26 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

John 8:31-32 "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you FREE."

John 8:51 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, IF a man keep my saying, he shall never see death."

Hebrews 2:1-4 "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be SPOKEN BY THE LORD, and was confirmed unto us by THEM THAT HEARD HIM; God also BEARING THEM WITNESS, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the HOLY GHOST, according to his own will?"

;) Dont let anyone convince you that Jesus wasnt teaching the fullness of the Gospel, everything the apostles taught, was a witness to the gospel. The doctrine of christianity was spoken By Jesus. if you are interested in Knowing What Jesus taught, which the above scriptures should make plain IS the gospel, a great place to begin is the sermoin on the mount. Matthew chapter 5 it begins with a wonderful scripture

ch 5v 1 "And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying...

Then He teaches wonderful things from Heaven full of mercy, Truth and everlasting authority. They are the words of the One who suffered so greatly, the One who was ridiculed, spit on, mocked, Beatenm more than once, flogged , made a spectacle of, made to carry the criminals cross through His own beloved city, was lain on a cros and had nails driven through His hands and feet, where He suffered and finally suffocated, All for the purpose of saving and providing for your eternal Life. There is no debate who words to trust in truth. you simplyJust trust In the only One who was crucified for you, Jesus is right, His authority will never fade, He is the One.

realize His doctrine is not like the Law of moses, He is Gentle and as you persevere in His word you will find Change and deliverance from Bonds. Jesus works.

Jesus Himself is the gospel. His finished work on the cross and resurrection and the fact that all our sins are forgiven in Him - is the gospel. We have died with Christ on the cross and have been raised in His resurrection as a new creation in Christ - sealed by the Holy Spirit.

One day we too will have a new body and we will live in His immortality. Christ ahs done it all. Now we fight the good fight of faith resting in what He has done. We have ceased from our own labors and enter into His completed works.

John/Yahanan 10:16, "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd (4166 - poimén)."

ezekiel 37:15-28 " The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 16Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. 20And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. 21And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:22And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: 23Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

24
And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore."

Romans 12:3-5, "For by the unmerited mercy given to me, I say to everyone who is among you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought; but rather, think soberly, in accordance as YHWH has dealt to each one the measure of faith. yeah bruce, i understand "glorious grace gospel" I choose to believe the Lord Jesus Christ rather than distortions of paul. I feel terrible that you have to consistantly deny what the Lord Himself says to try to support what jp says, i hope one day you will meet someone who will open your eyes to the real gospel. weve discussed for the past year, and it doesnt sink in. ive said before several times to you, you seem like a good guy, and i appreciate that when my brother and nephew passed away you were one of the first on here to extend comforting words, even thogh we have debated so much. that being said, false doctrine is false doctrine, and when a person has to omit Jesus own words and then label it " the gospel", its false doctrine. JUST TO BE CLEAR THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ON YOU, its just calling false , false. there is no salvation apart from what Jesus offers in the gospel. do you even know why paul received revelation?

it isnt that something different was revealed to him, it is because he wasnt a disciple when the Lord was on earth, he is no different from the other apostles, he tough no differences in doctrine, He was a messenger sent to spread the gospel just like peter john and james along with the rest. there is only One gospel, that of Jesus Christ and it is not unconditional, it requires a person to repent and believe His preaching not a part of it, not what you agree with, but His entire mnistry is the Gospel. thats why this op makes perfectly clear that He was preaching the gospel. and here you are once again explaining why Jesus didnt really mean what He is saying......does that not set off an alarm in your heart? consider why the Lords words just arent enough to believe, maybe its because you have no room for His word. I hope sincerely that you are able to accept His word at some point because there is no salvation without the things he taught.

galatians 3:27-28 "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. "

1 corinthians 7:18-19 "Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. 19Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God."

romans 2:28-29 "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."

Jesus did preach the gospel.

John 3. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, [SUP]15 [/SUP]that whoever believes in Him should not perish but[SUP][b][/SUP] have eternal life. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.[SUP]18 [/SUP]“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 6: vs 35 - 40 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

vs 53 - 58 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

John 4:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, [SUP]14 [/SUP]but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

john 14If ye love me, keep my commandments.16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

yep, and the apostle john agrees.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. [SUP]8 [/SUP]He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

so we see that just as jesus said,

John 14: 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

You see, those born of God are those who love him and keep his commands. Those not born of God can;t do that, they have never seen him, nor known him, thus they can not love him.

amen to that!!

and that birth in the spirit comes Through the gospel. The ultimate purpose Of Jesus ministry was to give the new birth in the spirit of truth, and do away with the sin that is certain death for those who serve it.

Some people look at Gods commands as " a dictator making up arbitrary rules, that we have to jump through all his hoops ect.... really though its Not God saying " if you do these things , i will destroy you" rather it is " if you do these things they will destroy you" Like adam, He says " if you do this you will surely die' this is a warning for example

you have a guest house that the kids play in sometimes out back. you notice some mice droppings so you go to the store and grab some decon or some rat poison. Of course you are going to tell the kids " This is poison, stay away from it, it will kill you" Thats what all the warnings about repentance of sin are like. God is saying " repent" because sin is death, its poison to the soul of man. we have to be reborn because were born with sin already in us, were already dead because of sin, which is why we need a savior, a resurrection, a new life within us a new entrance into eternal Life. if we go right back to the forbidden fruit and feed on it, we will surely die.

Good post and God bless you

John/Yahanan 16:5-16, "5, “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and not one of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6, “But because I have said these words to you, grief has filled your heart. 7, “But I say the truth to you. It is better for you that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you at all, but if I go, I shall send Him to you. 8, “And having come, He shall convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment, 9, concerning sin because they do not believe in Me, 10, concerning righteousness because I go to My Father and you see Me no more, 11, concerning judgment because the ruler of this world is judged. 12, “I still have many words to say to you, but you are not able to bear them now. 13, “But when He comes, the Spirit of the Truth, He shall guide you into all the truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come. 14, “He shall esteem Me, for He shall take of what is Mine and announce it to you. 15, “All that the Father has is Mine. That is why I said that He takes from what is Mine and announces it to you. 16, “A little while, and you do not see Me, and again a little while, and you shall see Me.”

john 8:31-32 "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free."

1 peter 1:22-25 "Seeing ye have purified your souls in OBEYING THE TRUTH THROUGH THE SPIRIT unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever.24For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:25But the WORD OF THE LORD ENDURETH FOREVER. And this is the word which by the GOSPEL IS PREACHED unto you."

Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY WORDS SHALL NOT PASS AWAY."

john 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to PREACH THE GOSPEL to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,"

John 10:2-10 "But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
