The Bible describes the Four Living Creatures as having the face of a...

Lion
Ox
Eagle
Man

Why these particular creatures?

What is it about a Lion, Ox, Eagle and Man that God would like us to understand?

Perhaps it has something to do with the Four Forces of Nature...

"There are four conventionally accepted fundamental interactions—gravitational, electromagnetic, strong nuclear, and weak nuclear"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamental_interaction

Let's compare them to see if there is a match.

LION

The Lion is POWERFUL...

Daniel 6:27
"He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions"

Thus, the Lion would best represent Electromagnetism.

OX

The Ox is STRONG...

Proverbs 14:4
"Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox"

Thus, the Ox would best represent the Strong Force.

EAGLE

The Eagle is swift and can defy GRAVITY...

Obadiah 1:4
"Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD"

Thus, the Eagle would best represent Gravity.

MAN

Compared to all the other Creatures, Man is WEAK...

Matthew 26:41
"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak"

Thus, the Man would best represent the Weak Force.

And there you have it!

The Four Forces of Nature as the Four Living Creatures...
