I think there are two types of people who call themselves Christians. One type is those who try hard to obey the Lord’s commandments. The other ignores the commandments and tries hard to make people happy, in an effort to climb the social ladder. I would call the second group of people “people-pleasers.”

Jesus tells us the world is an evil place (John 15:18-19). I think he is referring to the people-pleasers.

Lol i suppose it depends on what your hoping to gain from pleasing people..

Now is it a sin to please a customer into spending money.. So in other words you are pleasing for money to feed your kids.. answer me this hmmmmm

Im a money pleaser :) but for the love of God (it was Gods will that iu become a salesman and please people for him lol) i please people for money (make them smile and be very nice and be there for them,,, i love money i love it

I am more concerned on how well I obey God than I am on how well others do and sadly I admit i am very lacking in this area. But do you really think people like that are the enemy? The only enemy we have is he who is our fathers enemy, we are human we make mistakes some of us are not as mature as others and are at a different level in faith heck even I am guilty of purposely disobeying father because I didn't want to upset someone does that mean I am your enemy now?

On those occasions that you purposely disobeyed the Lord, you became his enemy. Hopefully you repented quickly.
