This is an interesting question: Are we smarter than the devil? I would be tempted to say no because of this:

Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the LORD God had made. Gen 3:1a RSV

Satan is AWFULLY clever as he works inside our minds to influence us to yield to the various sinful temptations the world has to offer.

However, we know the path to freedom. It is in the Lord’s commandments. As long as we obey those commandments, we have Satan beat.
