Am I a Christian?

I pose this question to everyone, as Christians are all called to test themselves to see if they are in the faith (2 Cor. 13:5). Let me state that I myself am nothing but a lowly follower of Christ, not because I sought Him out (Rom. 3:11, Rom. 9:11, Rom. 10:20), but I believe He called me (1 Cor. 7:40, Gal. 1:15). As Paul wrote, I do not deserve this (1 Cor. 15:9).

In my first hour on this site all I see is arguing. Christians have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16), born again with the Holy Spirit inside them to guide them into the truth in God’s Word (Jn. 3:3-5, Jn. 16:13, 2 Thess. 2:13). That being said, we are to be of one mind (1 Cor. 1:10) with divisions between us only indicating who is genuine (1 Cor. 11:19).

In all humility, I ask why do so many people here seem to cling to the teachings of men who twist God’s Word to their own destruction (2 Pet. 3:16)? Any teaching or view that contradicts God’s Word is false. God’s Word directly opposes Preterism, Calvinism, free-will salvation, UMC, Baptists, Catholics, Pentecostals, reformed churches, Assembly of God, and more.

Acts 2:44
44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common.

Romans 1:18
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

John 8:47
47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

Calvinism gets one thing very correct—God chose who would believe beforehand and people do not have the free will to save themselves by stating they believe in Christ if they are not called, as Christ himself states below:

John 15:16
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Acts 13:48
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Is there a good church that you think is okay that you'd recommend? Also, you're very post are fighting words so don't be surprised if someone comes in here and argues with you. :)

Also, I noticed you're new. Welcome to CC.

Only the elects were chosen because they fought on Gods side when satan rebelled in the first world age. Jer.4:18-27, every body else has free will, the elects were judged and found to be rightous in the first world age.Rom.8:29-30, they will not be judged again. God bless

gb9 - What you are doing is slander. Why are you doing this unless you are angry and do not
know what love is yourself?

God bless you, and I forgive you.

this thread asks " am I a Christian ". truth is a massive part of being one. so, when you falsely accuse someone of blasphemy , refuse to apologize, that is not truthful behavior.

it is not weak or bad to apologize. it makes one an honest person. it makes one be able to keep their walk with God on solid ground. taking a " I never do anything wrong" attitude keeps one from being humble, which you say you are. prove that by doing the right thing and apologizing for an error.

I have a simple problem my friend. I did not accuse someone of blasphemy.
I repeated what they had posted. And I laughed at its implications.

The problem is you are confusing me with other contributors.
Unless you are speaking truth, you are lying, so you have to be very careful.
I am happy to apologise about something that is true, but you fail continually
to meet this first criteria.

And the reason it bugs you so badly is because you cannot face the fact
an individual has over stepped their authority.

And you are now following his example. No surprise I suppose.
What is sad is how this eats into your soul and raises anger against others.

ba c.... It is considered really bad form to start an "accusatory" thread, then run away. You need to hang around and answer questions, and respond to others' replies....

Otherwise, you will very quickly earn the (deserved) reputation as a......
