That's my question. I know the bible says He is in the midst of where 2 or 3 are gathered. But does He hear prayer if only ONE person is praying alone?

When I was five years old I had a toothache and I asked God to make it stop and it instantly stopped, then I ask God to let it hurt again and it begin to hurt and then I asked God to make it stop and it stopped. Of course God answers individual prayers, He did it all through the bible and He has certainly done it for me many times.

God hears all prayers. As the scriptures says in Matthew 6:6 - when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you

Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I could go on and on. First, the Lord is all knowing. Second, Paul tells us to pray constantly (1 Thess 5:17). That's what it's all about - walking with the Lord. And that means being in constant prayer.

Maybe you should be more specific, what do you mean by "hear" and what do you mean by "prayer" and what do you mean by "alone".

By "hear" I mean exactly that. Does he hear individual prayer? By prayer, I mean exactly that. Praying to him on my own, alone.. Cuz it seems when I pray for something myself, He doesn't hear me. But if I ask others to pray on my behalf, He hears THEM and answers THEM. :/

If He's all-knowing and knows what we need before we ask, then why the need to even pray for it?

Nice definitions. By hear you mean hear. Ok, I will try to respond.

By "hear" you probably mean "is willing to answer".
By "prayer" you probably mean "asking for something from Him".
By "alone" you probably mean without any other human, but with the Holy Spirit.

Yes, He does :) He replies to everything that is the part of his eternal plan. You must have faith.

I suspect that we sometimes think our prayers are not heard when we don't get what we want. I know there have been times in the past when I've had that feeling. But the thing we should be doing, I think, is praying for our concerns and also acknowledging that we welcome God's will, whatever that may be. Even when his answer is "no". The best example I can think of for this, is Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane when he anticipated what he would go through in the next few hours and that his human self would be taken away from his disciples:

39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” Matt 26:39

Sometimes it can take months or even years for prayers to be answered. God doesn't work on our time & im sure he want us to be patient as he is.

Does faith and patience go hand in hand? I know I have lacked patience as well and I believe the two line up with each other.

Yes, and thank God he does because we don't have to depend on others to pray for us or with us in order for God to hear us.

We don't always know what to pray, but God knows our hearts. I think he can hear our prayers even when we don't say a word or don't know what to say. :)

Praying strengthens our relationship with God, even when the answer to our prayers is, no.

The prayer for salvation has to be an individual prayer, so yes, He answers individual prayers.

Actually its tribulation that worketh patience.

Ro 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

What do you mean by individual prayer? (I'm not disagreeing. I'm just not sure what you mean.) :)

We don't necessarily have to pray for "it," but we are to love the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls, which, I think, means being in constant prayer - communication - with him.

As the scriptures says in John 16:24 - Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete
