We need the whole armor of God to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

I see you read with no understanding. That is to be expected from a non believer, I suppose. Even so, some non believers grasp the fact that it was Satan, using deception, that tempted man away from God, which resulted not only in the fall of man, but the fall of all creation. Jesus also called Satan a liar and a murderer from the beginning. Jesus said that Satan is the father of all lies. Perhaps you could try to remember those details next time you begin to wonder why Satan is said to be so evil :)
Can you give examples of deception? And why that caused the fall of man. Also try to do that without insulting anyone.

Ive always found the Satan character quite interesting. What exactly did he do that made everyone think he was so evil? In terms of bible stats I have read that god killed millions of people when he did the reset. I cant really find any instances of Satan doing that much, other than the bet with god.
Relative morality will/has killed more than millions. Ah, you'll see...

The truth always insults someone, I am sorry to say. It is also insulting when you lie about people. Do you read that with comprehension? Deliberate slander is done purposefully to insult. Can you talk about people without deliberately trying to insult them? Moving on... Satan lied to Eve. That is deception, yes? It was the one tree that God had told Adam and Eve not to eat from, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that Satan talked Eve into eating the fruit of. He told her she would not surely die. Guess what? She died. So did Adam, and so does everyone born in Adam unless they are born again of the Spirit of God, in which case they shall be spared the second death.

The bible tells us certain things that we need to know in order to be saved, other then that there are huge holes of information that we are simply not told. It is obvious that Satan was allowed to tempt the first humans, we are not told why. It is also obvious that Satan was already the enemy of God and wanted to destroy the humans, why Satan was already an enemy of God we are not told. And the story goes on and on. I will say this...God is so good the human mind cannot even comprehend it and Satan is so evil the human mind cannot even comprehend it. This is not just a war between two entities, this is a war between perfect goodness and complete evilness.

Satan’s fall from heaven is symbolically described in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18. While these two passages are referring specifically to the kings of Babylon and Tyre, they also reference the spiritual power behind those kings, namely, Satan. These passages describe why Satan fell, but they do not specifically say when the fall occurred. What we do know is this: the angels were created before the earth (Job 38:4-7). Satan fell before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis 3:1-14). Satan’s fall, therefore, must have occurred somewhere after the time the angels were created and before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Whether Satan’s fall occurred hours, days, or years before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden, Scripture does not specifically say.

Why did Satan fall from heaven? Satan fell because of pride. He desired to be God, not to be a servant of God. Notice the many “I will...” statements in
Isaiah 14:12-15. Ezekiel 28:12-15 describes Satan as an exceedingly beautiful angel. Satan was likely the highest of all angels, the anointed cherub, the most beautiful of all of God's creations, but he was not content in his position. Instead, Satan desired to be God, to essentially “kick God off His throne” and take over the rule of the universe. Satan wanted to be God, and interestingly enough, that is essentially what Satan tempted Adam and Eve with in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-5). How did Satan fall from heaven? Actually, a fall is not an accurate description. It would be far more accurate to say God cast Satan out of heaven (Isaiah 14:15; Ezekiel 28:16-17).

Yes i can. Can you? This is another post where you failed to just be nice. You had a chance but you chose to go down a different road.

You are correct on your answer. Do you have any examples from the NT? Or any other examples at all? Try really hard to be nice!

I think we tend to give satan far too much credit. he is not omnipresent nor does he know the future. I have found my wicked flesh needs no help at all from satan to lead me to ruin. Thank God for the power I received from God when I was saved otherwise i'd have no chance against the flesh.

ACTS 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Hi Snookman,

I agree, satan isn't omnipresent, but he has thousands of demons at his disposal. He knows the future as we know it. He knows what God allows him to know. He knows his time is short so he's at work deceiving the nations.

And actually the whole earth is under the power of Satan. I think we don't acknowledge or even understand
the power he has.

And the reason he prowls around like a lion is because he wants to devour us. He comes to kill, to steal and to destroy. That's a pretty powerful entity. Look at the powerful deception he had Eve under to cause the death of all mankind.

Look at the story of Job. He had the power to kill his animals and his children and destroy all he had. He's called the prince or ruler of this world. He tempts people and leads them astray.

And look at the power of the demons. They can possess others and cause disease and sickness. They can throw people around, like throwing the young boy who was possessed that Jesus delivered into the fire.

Jesus left us warnings about him. He will do miracles during the tribulation to deceive people to worship him. He will continue his lies of deception.

Who do you think is at the realm of every nation.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

We are in a spiritual war against satan and his demons because they want to devour the should of men.

The good news is greater is he that's in us, than he who's in the world. He gives us armor to do battle offensively with the enemy of our souls.

Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I have to say this brings up my usual question. God knew exactly what Satan would do before he created him, so why create him?

Wow. Sounds like Satan is quite a baka... (that means 'fool' in Japanese)

Well, at least eventually he will get what he deserves.

Hi CK: When I first came in here, I had a woman attack me rudely when I had done nothing but quote scripture, so don't feel like the lone ranger if it seems someone is being rude, a lot of us have been there.

I suppose that Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 could be describing Satan, however the bible itself does not say that, neither in the OT or in the NT. It is a speculation of man that cannot be proven by scripture...so I would never teach it. As far as we know from scripture, Satan did not sin until Eden, again there are big holes of knowledge missing and we just have to accept that it is so and trust God.
