ABSOLUTELY we recieve salvation by being baptized (fully immersed) into Christ! He gives us His Spirit and causes us to walk in His holy ways just as prophesied in Ezekiel!

"And I will put My spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and you shall keep My judgments and do them." Ezekiel 36:27

That's what salvation is, He literally saves us from our sin! Most people just wanna be "saved from the punishment of their sin".. The Lord saved me from my sin and continues to every day for it is His Spirit that lives in me now! My old man is dead and I have "put on Christ" as the holy Scriptures say :) Praise the Lord, I'm free from the sin that once polluted me!!
befor the spirit came down are you saying no one was saved in the old testement ?.

You cant assume your own salvation it hasnt happend yet not until the day of redemption.
You can give up your faith tomorrow walk away from God and marry a gay. so could i but im not going too its just a point.

Were you there in "The Beginning?"
The beginning of what?
I have to know what you are referring too so I can answer you.
Sounds disingenuous, I wouldn't want someone to have to talk to me the way I would have to talk to a 10-year-old.
Do you really not know what he meant by In the beginning?

Salvation is being born of the spirit...as in a spiritual birth......

Paul said....that he was alive once without the law, heard the law and then sin revived and he died........what did he mean?
He obviously did not die physically so......My conclusion is he was safe and alive under grace before he reached that age where he became mentally and spiritually accountable unto God.....I.E> he became aware of his sin and sin nature by the word of God...at which time he died.....he was reborn spiritually the day he acknowledged JESUS by faith and admission as LORD......

There are allusions to what we label the age of accountability when it comes to children....no particular set age per se....but when David's son with Bathsheba died (a picture of the innocent son of David paying the price-->Jesus) David said he would go to that child and see that child again some day......

So I guess I am saying....we are safe under the banner of blood and grace until we become aware of our nature, we are dead spiritually and must be reborn fro above by the spirit........

It is early and I am still half asleep....so........ ;)
being reborn of your spirit means youve been washed.. but that doesnt mean the stain cant come back.

It just doesnt or else just about anyone could be eternaly saved.

Ok two sayings

1 a leopor never changes its spots.

2 a dog will always return to its vomit.

Ok so lets look at this in a diffrent manner.. you have a person in front of you who is bothered about losing his Job..
He comes to you and says please forgive me.. just like he would say To God.. the reason why he came to you was his money was so important to him and he didnt want to lose his Job.

he had basicaly been the typical workman bully.. and now is truth was uncovered.. he was riddled with jeolousy.. He went to a quiet room he realised his mistake,,,,,,, cause you rebuked him in front of everyone.

Now he cried out to the lord and said i want to believe in you i want to be like you father and i dont want to be this monster..

so the lord listens and sends the holy spirit. or does he send a watching angel first to test him..

I won't reread Sevenseas. I trust you.
The above does sound different.
And is stated 100% correctly.

We have a body.
We have a soul.

When we know God we also have a spirit.
The spirit affects the soul.

The Body:
Physical
Amoral
Imperfectible
Mortal

The Soul:
Psychical - Mind, Emotions, Will
Amoral
Imperfectible
Mortal

The Spirit:
The "heart"
Moral
Perfectible
Immortal

The spirit affects the mind, motions, will - or the soul.

well, I appreciate that you trust me, but be a good Berean anyway LOL! spellcheck wants to call you a bean but I gave it a stern look and it backed off

we all know what our bodies are; those cumbersome things we lug around and I believe what the Bible calls the heart is our soul, emotions, will, intellect, personality etc

I see you are calling the spirit the heart

God breathed life into Adam and Adam became a living soul. Our souls live on but our bodies do not.

Christians should be ruled by their spirits which are ruled by the Holy Spirit. Chaos results when that is not the order.

I actually think things are more complicated than what I wrote, but I don't think that would be good for this thread

Your spirit cannot be reborn.
Or at least not to my knowledge.
And I am pretty sure I am right.

I don't think name calling will help.

Understanding what is actually going on might help though.

.............No

I doubt he knows the truth.

I would like it if you from now on talk to me like you do a 10 year old.

Then you will not ask me stupid questions or disrespect me.

I never said anything about being immersed....salvation rests in faith and faith alone....Water immersion has nothing to do with it.

What is being born of water? Think about it,
how can a soul become born of water? Water and Spirit.

My question is based upon two beliefs,, First believe is people say when your saved you also recieve salvation ?

Second believe is your saved but your salvation hasnt been decided yet ?.

Ephesians 4:30-32King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]30 [/SUP]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. ?..

Im posting a poll as i really do want to know who believes what and why without making it personal pls thanks sort of like a testimonial thread if you will..
Can I just try a completely different way again? I, forever, seem unable to answer your polls. And quite often, I don't even get your polls. So, how about I just tell you what I think, and if it happens to be either choice for your poll let me know, and I'll chose that answer. Seem fair?

Saved. It's both a verb and a noun. I save you from drowning, and after I do that you remained saved. Seem about right?

So, here's my dilema. Jesus saved (verb) us, therefore we are saved (noun).

What did he save us from? Well, we're sinners, and God can't look at sinful people, so he had to separate himself from us. And, he is a just God, so he has to judge us and execute the punishment. We're guilty. We sinned. And the execution is set -- we die for our sins, and then spend eternity in Hell. So, when Jesus took on that punishment for us, (because Just God gave that as part of the Law. The Scapegoat Clause, which is if someone is willing to take on the punishment of the guilty party, he/she can as long as he/she never did that same sin. And since we've managed to do every sin in the Law, only one who is sinless could take on that punishment, and he did. His name is Jesus. He was 100% Man and also always is 100% God), we are no longer up for trial. He did that for us.

So, Jesus saved us from separation from God, death, and Hell.

He saved (verb) us from death, and therefore we are saved (noun).

I do get, at the end, there will be Judgement Day, but God didn't keep the judgement a secret. Those that he saved, (past tense, because Jesus did that close to 2000 years ago), are saved, (present tense because we're still saved), and will be saved, (future tense because of Judgement Day.)

That's what I believe.

Does that fit under either of your choices? Because I find myself truly unable to determine what your choices meant, so only you will know IF you get what I'm saying.
