You can have the spirit and abandon your faith thats it mate end of.

can you see the diffrence. bewteen once saved and always saved now.

Or maybe many people think there saved but havent actually recieved the spirit yet.

In other words i generaly belief that anyone can be baptised and recieve the spirit. and i mean anyone. the enlightenment is your not anyone and as you know anyone can abandon there faith and become a radicalist....
Jimbo,
I don't know you and your beliefs, but I don't mind saying that I'm confused as to what you believe.
You think I could retain the spirit but abandon my faith?

Are you saying there's some kind of special spirit I must receive to be saved?
You believe in eternal salvation or you don't believe in eternal salvation?

I have to say im quite shocked of the poll result here.

I dont want to take anyones hope of salvation away but i would like for people to hope for salvation.

(Matthew 24:13) "But he who shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved."

(my interpratation of this we can be saved until the end but salvation comes at the end..

(Mark 16:16 RPT) "He who believed and was baptised shall be saved;"(Ahain it speaks of being saved untill the end but doesnt include salvation.

(Acts 15:11) "But we believe that through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they."

Again this saying you are saved your on the right path so to speak..

(Romans 13:11) "for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

"Of course it is because youve excepted Jesus but please note this mentions nearer meaning your salvation hasnt been declared yet..

(you are to hope and pray for it.)

(Philippians 2:12) "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

(keep the faith).

(1 Peter 1:5 RPT) "Who are being kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.".

(this scipture well and truly points out you can be saved until the end but salvation isnt for us to decide rather we are to work out are own salvation without fear or trembling.. and for me there is only one way to work this out and that is as long as you keep the faith and dont abandon it then your salvation is nearer to the end..
I think I agree with you.
Will await your reply.

Hope is not some wishy washy cross your fingers kind of hope. Unlike the english word "hope," the N.T. word contains no uncertainty; it speaks of something that is certain. - Strong's #1680 elpís (from elpō, "to anticipate, welcome") – properly, expectation of what is sure (certain); hope.

If we have saving faith in Christ then we have this hope. Faith is the substance of things hoped for.. (Hebrews 11:1). So that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:7).
