Well, Jimbone...

You can only cause those who are not secure in the Word to quiver and shake in fear. For all these scriptures are pointing to this one thing...the salvation of our soul.

~1Pe 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. And even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,

1Pe 1:9 because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Our joy comes from being secure in Him...knowing our spirit has been sealed with His (Fathers) stamp of approval...the signet of the King...and we have been placed in His Son.

But!!!

Our souls are in a process of salvation. Our souls are not our spirits. Spirit, soul, and body. A triune being made in the image of the Godhead.

Remain IN HIM> there is the hope of our salvation...and the source of the fruit of His being...in Him.

to fear God is to know God.. i mean hes a mighty warrior that can tare satan apart....

well if you say so LOL

surely if you are sealed by the Spirit until the day of redemption (Ep 4.30)that means that God keeps you until that day.

If God has saved you, you are saved until the end. Otherwise God hasn't saved you

But being saved BY GOD is the guarantee of final salvation, the final icing on the cake is just the conclusion of the job. Otherwise He hasn't saved at all, He has just tried -- and failed..

It is a certain hope.

and so we should

,,

because they haven't truly believed

,,

and God has picked them up again

many will be nominal and not real

But if they are the saved they WILL receive it

well I am wearing the helmet of the certain hope of salvation,

I will fall, but I will not be utterly cast down, for the Lord upholds me with His hand, for He has promised I WILL NEVER EVER PERISH (John 10.27-29). He has promised of those given to Him He will LOSE NOTHING (John 6.39)
being sealed is one thing and following is another..... end of story...to be saved you must also follow...works..... end of story...

Its like this... Being in Noah's ark saves you. But if you jump out of the ark you are no longer saved, even though you were saved. If you jump out, can you jump back in before it's too late? Yes- this is the prodigal son situation. And what did that father say about his son? That he was dead and is now alive.

When we get baptized into Christ we rise to newness of life (spiritually alive). So is it possible to walk around spiritually dead? Yes. This is what Jesus meant when He said "Let the dead bury the dead." He meant let the spiritually dead bury the physically dead. God is the God of the living not of the dead.

When Paul spoke of running the race, he mentioned that even he has to be careful so that he doesn't get disqualified for the prize. The prize is salvation.

In the parable of the servants, the one who hid his masters talents was genuinely the master's servant. But when the master returned unexpectedly to settle accounts, he said to throw this servant out where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

It is not enough to get saved, we have to stay saved- that is the difference between the Elect of God and the Very Elect of God.

The Bible says it is hard for the righteous to be saved- therefore not all the righteous will be saved. And where do we get our righteousness? From Christ- no one is self-righteous. So when we are baptized into Christ we are saved, we then have to run the race trying not to get disqualified and lose the prize- which is God's grace.
Did anyone jump out of the ark?
God gave the dimensions and those who were to go onto the ark.
All were saved, none were lost.

You quote Paul running the race so he does not get disqualified, that is that he loses his salvation.
You have come to this understanding based on your research on this (I hope)

However others come to a different conclusion that to be disqualified from the race was for him to be disqualified from his ministry of bringing the Gospel of Jesus to the Gentiles but not a loss of his salvation.

How do you interpret the following

1 Corinthians 3:12-15
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

It is not enough to get saved but we have to stay saved. How do we do that?
You ask "Where do we get our righteousness and you say correctly from Christ as no one is self righteous.

So I ask if we try to keep ourself saved then are we not being self righteous?

If God seals me I am sealed for ever and we are saved once for all in Tit 3.5, without works. So wrong on both counts.

here are three aspects to salvation. I am saved from the penalty of sin in the past (aorist tense - eg Tit 3.5), I am saved from the power of sin continually (present tense - 1 Cor 1.18), I will be finally saved in the future. So I can say 'I have been saved once for all and am therefore safe', 'I am being saved day by day from the power of sin', one day I will be saved from the presence of sin. Thus I can be saved and saved for ever, whilst others can later be saved.

The ark was sealed and closed from the outside :)
It amazes me the people who think they are more powerful than God.

Then again, It shows who their real faith is in..

Fear has to do with punishment. Perfect love casts out fear :)
Proverbs 9:10 10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,

[h=1]Matthew 10:28New International Version (NIV)[/h] [SUP]28 [/SUP]Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

ill think youll find we are to fear sinning to....... and hope to remain on the right side of the final harvest...and hope to be a part of the final harvest... and hope not to fall away... and hope not to become angry and bitter with self rightouseness,,, by assuming that your the done deal and the finished work of christ...

Wrong you are not the finished work of Christ,,, cause you need to follow him daily... you need to ask for your daily bread...

Your not the done deal until the final harvest,,, if you suggest like others here have allready said they are the done deal,,, then you will grow up being to self rightouess and forggeting your prayer...end of story..

God's Charges against Israel
…5So you will stumble by day, And the prophet also will stumble with you by night; And I will destroy your mother. 6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.Because you have rejected knowledge,

I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. 7The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.…

Jesus said go and spread the word all over the word... he didnt stay leave out the meat of the word if people cant handle...

So how can you not fear the lord after reading this scripture ?....... because if you do this means your a know it all.... i suggest you pray knowledge

knowledge is wisdom which is linked to fear... for instance if you fear something you may just pray for help.. if you fear doing the wrong thing by God,,, you may just pray for help.... i think magenta your just looking at fear as being scared because of a bully... or something...

Fear can be Good as i have a saying its Good to be wary...

would the ark have remained sealed if it fell into the wrong hands ?
if it did then it wasn't sealed by God.

If something was greater than than person who sealed then that person would be greater that the sealer.

If that what is sealed by God for some reason falls into the wrong hands, all they could do is hack away at it, try to damage it, make it not fit for purpose.
