To me....it is all indicative of our spiritual birth....born of incorruptible seed, having the righteousness of Christ applied to us by faith and blood...being immersed into Jesus by faith and the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit.....so many thoughts come to mind concerning these truths that are applicable.........Sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise (our down payment) on eternal life

I fully get the neither JEW nor Greek as the twain have been made (one)......the thing I find perplexing about your post and the Galatian statement is the neither MALE or FEMALE application...................

The distinctions of Jew and Gentile, free or bond, and male and female, while on earth to God,and the latter two to society,is the Jew considered more privileged than the Gentile,as they received blessings in the Old Testament from God when dealing with Israel that the Gentile did not get,and had the advantage over the Gentile because the oracles of God were given to them, and free men as more privileged, and superior to bond men,and males more privileged than females, and an authority above the woman in this instance, wives obey your husband, and he has the rule over you,but of course this has to be according to the will of God,so the man has nowhere to control of his own accord.

In the natural realm the three Jew,free, and male, are considered more privileged, and in a superior role, making them not equal, but this is in the natural realm.

But in the spiritual realm there is no inequality,or more privileged, among them, but they are on an equal level, which in the Lord a man and a woman are equal, for the only thing that separates a man and a woman is the flesh, the soul and spirit are the same, and when they put off the flesh, and have a glorified body there is no distinction.

On earth there are many different positions that put one person above another in importance, whatever it may be,for while people may look down on the bond as inferior to the free, and look down on the female as inferior to the male,or whatever position it is,rich and poor as an example,in the spiritual realm they are on an equal level, for the flesh is the only thing that shows a separation of classes, and importance, and authority,to those on earth, but in the spiritual realm the flesh is gone, and no classes of people then, but all are equal. There is positions at all but a saint of God.

Romans 5
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

I would just say that we are all equal. No one is born a better person than another.

My thoughts are that this faith spoken of is not simple belief in God, but The Faith (doctrine of God- which is scripture), that was mentioned in 1 Timothy 4. "Some will abandon The Faith and follow deceiving spirits." There is only one way scripture tells us of how we get in Christ- Romans 6:3- we are baptized into Christ. And in Christ body (church) there are no male or female, slave or free, etc.

The Bible says that the gospel of Christ is His death, burial, and resurrection, and that we are to obey the gospel. (Not belief only). "With flames of fire He will take vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of His Son." I don't know how faith only believers exclude so many such scriptures that require obedience.

Those are my thoughts.

The word 'baptized' means 'to wash'. It is not speaking of a physical ritual like some 'churches' do, but rather it is speaking of being washed free of sin. When scripture says a person is baptized into Christ it means that they are washed free of sin into Christ. As many as have had their sins washed away are therefore clothed with Christ, meaning that they have his righteousness, not their own now. Remember the woman who was clothed with the sun in Rev 12. This is a picture of true believers, since the sun in the Bible is a picture of Christ. To say that someone is clothed with the sun in Bible lingo means to be clothed with Christ's righteousness. Anyone in Christ is, of course, one together with other believers, as the scripture goes on to say.

Greek scholar AT Robertson comments - Put on Christ (Galatians 3:27) - As a badge or uniform of service like that of the soldier. This verb is common in the sense of putting on garments (literally and metaphorically as here). In 1 Thessalonians 5:8 Paul speaks of "putting on the breastplate of righteousness." He does not here mean that one enters into Christ and so is saved by means of baptism after the teaching of the mystery religions, but just the opposite. We are justified by faith in Christ, not by circumcision or by baptism. But baptism was the public profession and pledge, the soldier's sacramentum, oath of fealty to Christ, taking one's stand with Christ, the symbolic picture of the change wrought by faith already

Actually baptism means to immerse completely, as in burial. When we get baptized we die to ourselves, are buried in the watery grave of baptism, and are raised to newness of life. God does wash our sins away. During baptism God performs circumcision of the heart (cuts sin away from our hearts). But baptism is a death and a burial. Years after Christ was baptized, He said He had a baptism to undergo, and how it grieved Him until it was done- He was speaking of His death and burial.

Lu 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

For the cause of Christ

makes me think of this reality -- :)

Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. (Rom 6:3-11 ESV)

if i'm understanding this correctly, 'baptised' in both Gal 3 and Rom 6 are passive tense?
God acting sovereignly in salvation.

Come and see the wonders of God; His acts for humanity are awe-inspiring.
(Ps 66:5 HCSB)

thank You, God!! :)

Col 2:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins[SUP][c][/SUP] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, [SUP]12 [/SUP]buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. [SUP]13 [/SUP]And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, [SUP]14 [/SUP]having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

It is a spiritual work, It is not done by the hands of men (physical baptism) but the hand of God himself. It is being cleansed and born again, (Titus 3: 5 the washing and renewal) which is of the Holy Spirit (HS Baptism)

Baptism means to be placed into. We are literally placed into Christ, as the children of Israel were placed into Moses.. Christ is our head. as Jesus said, As long as he lives, we live also..

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God,
even to those who believe in His name,
who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
(Jn 1:12-13)

If any one falls away from that faith, then faith is made void, and the believer, even though he or she still has His seal, may find themselves naked before the Bridegroom.

Romans 4:14
For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

Matthew 22:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:[SUP]12 [/SUP]And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.[SUP]13 [/SUP]Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus addressing him as His friend shows that he is there because he is His, but he came without his wedding garment. So it is possible for a believer to engage in dead works that deny Him in one form or fashion to void faith and wind up being denied by Him by whatever work of iniquity he is in.

Which is why it is important to trust Jesus Christ as our Good Shepherd and regularly in prayer, ask Him to expose any works of iniquity so that we may lean on Him for help in departing from iniquity.

We can never lose our seal.

Ephesians 4:
[SUP]30 [/SUP]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

But we can lose our wedding garment if we do not trust Him as our Good Shepherd to keep us.

2 Timothy 4:
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Very few believes today trust Him to do that, and even I need His help to keep trusting Him to do that.

You sat right there & quoted scripture that shows we can be thrust out of God's presence, then say there's no way we can.

Have you any understanding at all?

Are you so arrogant you can speak directly against scripture? Or is it ignorance?

Never ignore scripture.

When two scriptures seem to contradict one another, the interpretation of at least one of them is wrong.

Whenever someone purposely ignores scripture for the sake of their doctrine, that doctrine is evil.

Baptized in Christ, Clothed in Christ, the circumcision of the heart done by God, the anointing that you have received from Christ, being born again. I think these are all explanations of Salvation given in different ways to different people so that they could understand.

But, in typical stubborn people fashion, we take our carnal understanding and try to turn it into a law that people MUST perform. In some fashion or another people try to put themselves in the place of God.

Romans 2:28-29
[FONT=&quot]28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
