THE CLAUSE THAT MAKES IT ALL HAPPEN[/h]

We are no longer under the old covenant. We are now under the new covenant. And in this new covenant, God says that He will do three things for us:

Lead us—“I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts.” (Hebrews 8:10) These are the laws of faith, love and liberty to guide you in everything you do. It is a spontaneous, dynamic, active and intimate way to be led by God.

Work miracles for us—“I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Hebrews 8:10) The phrase “I will be their God” denotes a miracle-working God. So if you are sick and God says, “I will be your God,” get ready for healing! If you are poor and God says, “I will be your God,” get ready for His supply!

Cause us to know Him effortlessly—“…all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.” (Hebrews 8:11) The Greek word for “know” here is eido. It means to know intuitively without effort. This means that you will know God easily.

Do you want to experience all these blessings in your life today?
“Of course, Pastor Prince, I want to be led by God. I want Him to work miracles in my life. I want to know Him intimately without straining or striving.”

Then, you need to know the clause that makes it all happen: “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” The words “no more” in the Greek carry a strong double-negative sense. So God is saying, “I will never, by no means, remember your sins!”

Beloved, the more you believe this in your heart, the more you will see those blessings fulfilled in your life. When you realize how much God has forgiven you and remembers your sins no more, you will know Him, His ways and His will for you intimately and intuitively without effort.

So believe in your heart today the clause on which all these blessings hinge, and get ready for miracles and hopes fulfilled in the days ahead!

Not allowing the enemy to steal the Word from our hearts is vital I'm learning. Keeping His truth before our eyes so our minds are transformed into thinking His ways and not our old ways. This has brought on the changes needed. The effortlessness comes naturally in this course of action.

It allows the believer to actually trust that it's Jesus righteousness and not ours that God sees and we walk out the gift of no condemnation in Romans 8:1

1. Prince says God puts His laws in his mind, then says all of jesus' teachings before the cross are null & void 'cause they're OT.

That means John 3:16 is OT.

All of His parables are OT

Plus, there's the problem with the word "laws". What laws? Radical Grace folks don't believe in obeying "laws". They believe in Christ & that Christ did everything, so "obedience to laws" is for the legalists & works salvationist people.

2. How many radical grace folks are now outta poverty? All bills paid off? Now in a new home? WOF is a lie of Satan.

What are your current miracles? If Prince's teaching is true, Radical grace miracles should abound. Where are they?

How did Prince get "miracles" and "healing"out of "I will be their God"?

Didn't he just say what he wanted?

3.

How come the Radical gracers don't agree on everything? How come they don't know everything?

Joseph Prince didn't even get the Greek word right.

The person who wrote this devotional and the person who posted it and commented on it has ever said anything Jesus spoke is null and void. So that is seriously wrong to post and say it was done. And since this has been covered on this forum in times past I refuse to get into a post by post argument about it.

The Bible is written for everyone but not everything was written specifically to everyone. Some things were specifically written to the Jews and some things for the gentiles. Somethings were written for those under the old covenant and some things were written to those under the new covenant. Making that distinction is of major importance when we are seeking to rightly divide the Word of Truth as the Bible instructs us to do.

For instance, when Jesus spoke to the Canaanite woman who wanted healing for her demon possessed daughter in Matt.15:27 she pretended to be a Jew. But when Jesus didn't answer her, she just begged for help as who she really was a Gentile. Even though it was not time for the Gentiles to receive His blessings, Jesus made a way for her to be helped. He told her it was not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.

Or better interpreted "puppies" so Jesus was still being loving to the woman and her daughter. The woman said "yes Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table." They were shown mercy and grace. Gentiles were dogs to the Jews but to Jesus, even though it was not yet the Gentiles time, He healed the girl.

Covenants mean something to God and I've found He wants us to know the differences between the covenant of law given to the Jews and the covenant of grace. Today "we" the Gentiles are under the new covenant and we need to read the Bible with that in mind. He takes us as we are.

"No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest." Hebrews 8:11 NIV

I have no idea this source you are using, but it is pretty simple to figure it out.

The first verb "Know the Lord" is Γνῶθι or gnothi. It is the Aorist Imperative Active. Very important!! This is what God commands us to do. That is what the Imperative tense means! We are commanded to KNOW him. The infinitive or non-indicative nature of the verb doesn't come out in English, but I will agree that use the command "KNOW!" covers* it.

This verb does not come from οῗδα oida. Instead, it comes from γινώσκω. Kind of makes sense γνθι coming from γινῶσκω. So Stephen, you were not wrong, but right on the first verb! And it does mean "know, come to know, realize, learn." Bauer (BDAG)

The second verb is
εἰδήσουσίν or eidasousin. It is Future Active Perfect, 3rd person plural, probably one of the few times this happens in the NT. It comes from οῗδα,* which means "I know, understand." Oida is a strange verb, being in the Perfect Tense in the lexical form. But the word is translated into the present tense, just as the Future Perfect tense to be translated into the Perfect.

But always remember that Perfect means a completed action, so "they will all know me," is going to be completed. That is the grammar in Hebrews 8:11.

"The Greek word for “know” here is eido. It means to know intuitively without effort. This means that you will know God easily."

Totally confused by this statement in the OP devotional, by he-who-shall-not-be-named.

I searched through Bauer, the best Lexicon, and 3 Greek exegetical commentaries and there was NO mention of οῗδα ever being "easy, to know without effort." Or, "That you will know God easily" This is pure and utter imaginative speculation. It is not rooted in an understanding of the Greek. He-who-shall-not-be-named knows just enough Greek to be dangerous, (as in leading people astray!) and not enough to have a clue what he is talking about. Just throwing around some words and making up a definition.

So what exactly is the commentary on this verse?

This verse does indeed deal with the passage from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant. But that doesn't mean we abandon the OT, and only pull out the things we like! NO!

The establishment of the New Covenant is the pledge of the presence of the law in the hearts of believers as a gift of God. The quality of newness intrinsic to the New Covenant consists of a new manner of presenting God's law and not in the newness of content. The people of God will be inwardly established in the law and the knowledge of God. The emphasis falls on the interior quality of the human law as a response to God through the New Covenant. **

Hebrews is written to Jewish Christians who might have been thinking of going back to the Old Covenant. The writer of Hebrews is referring to the following Old Covenant Promises:

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. 20 Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God." Ezekiel 11:19-20

" I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." Ezekiel 36:26-27

Of course, the writer of Hebrews is specifically referring to Jeremiah! In fat, it is a direct quote!

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to them,”
declares the Lord.
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the Lord.
“For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.” Ezekiel 31:31-34

This was written to the Hebrews, and that is partly the reason the writer of Hebrews is quoting it. They had been part of the Old Covenant, which was never properly kept by the nation. Their membership in the New Covenant was based on the sacrificial work of Christ, which effected their atonement and sanctification. This unique relationship with God would have been incentive for them to remain faithful. They certainly DO NOT need this false encouragement of getting more and more, as in the OP. To "know" God is to recognize him, trust him, and obey him. **** (Oops He-who-shall-not-be-named, missed the "obey" part!)

"For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more." Hebrews 8:12

ὅτι ἵλεως ἔσομαι ταῖς ἀδικίαις αὐτῶν, καὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν οὐ μὴ μνησθῶ ἔτι.

The blotting out of the people's sins is essential to this new relationship into which God calls them himself.

Remembering is μνησθῶ or mnastho, is from the verb δμιμνασκομαι. The verb is in the Aorist Subjunctive Passive, the passive, being the divine or theological passive, indicating God as the agent.

For the Hebrew, "remembering" was more than mental effort, it carried with it the thought of doing something to the advantage or disadvantage of the person remembered. If people's sins are remembered by God, his holiness must take action against them; if they are not remembered, it is because his grace has determined to forgive them.

One must admit there is a similarity between the Old Covenant promises and the New Covenant promises. But under the Old Covenant there was an annual reminder of sins. (Hebrews 7:27) But the New Covenant is established on "better promises" (8:6) God undertakes to put his laws in their minds and hearts, which is tantamount to saying that he gives them "new hearts" so ensuring obedience to God's will.***

I note that none of this was really included in this devotional.

And how do we know God's will? We read the Bible, and the Holy Spirit illuminates the Word and teaches us. Of course, good teachers are also included in that, just not heretics like the OP is written by!

I'm extremely thankful that we have been told not to compare ourselves with one another or by one another. Just like when God had Noah build the Ark, He did not have windows put on the sides. He always wants us to look UP and see Him.

In light of all that is going on in the world and in other people's lives we cannot allow ourselves (no matter how obvious it seems to everyone else) to look around us and take our eyes off of the what the promises to us are. It's the devil's intention at all times to steal the Word from our hearts that was sown in faith. Looking UP is the only way to survive and thrive.

In saying that, the things in the Bible have to be taken by faith and understood by the Holy Spirit who doesn't always give one truth for one of the verses. We have all experienced this where verses in the Bible to one believer reveals a truth that addresses something different than it showed another believer.

In this we each must stand in the Holy Spirit's leading to us individually when reading and interpreting the Bible. There are encouragements in this book that go beyond the obvious. For instance the verses and interpretations some here have come up with. All truths have to be taken through faith in the finished work of Jesus as explained here in this devotional. The very topic is "I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more"

This is meant to comfort us and give us victory (now) while we learn about Jesus and the grace and truth He brought to us. We are not condemned anymore., never again. "These are laws of faith, love and liberty to guide" the believer into a intimate walk with God. We need to be able to trust Him and He gives us every reason to through the love He has in Christ for us and the indwelling force of the Holy Spirit in us and through us. He comforts guides and teaches us how. It is not something we do ourselves just like our salvation it is a work done by Jesus for us. We abide on the vine and fruit will naturally come.

The promises are He will do these things in and through us and for us. We can and must trust Him to do as He says regardless of what we feel or see or experience. And the more these truths are learned and become a part of our hearts and minds we will be weary and not allow the devil to steal the Word from us that was sown in faith.

The answer that I have found to this is just like anything we have from Christ it is given to us freely.
It is not hard and when we flow in faith we can grasp these things without the rough edges of human reason that has no grace.

If a Christian said that no one should listen to them. No, I have not said that nor would I put up a devotional by someone who had.

Re: I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.,

Not allowing the enemy to steal the Word from our hearts is vital I'm learning. Keeping His truth before our eyes so our minds are transformed into thinking His ways and not our old ways. This has brought on the changes needed. The effortlessness comes naturally in this course of action.

It allows the believer to actually trust that it's Jesus righteousness and not ours that God sees and we walk out the gift of no condemnation in Romans 8:1

The answer that I have found to this is just like anything we have from Christ it is given to us freely.
It is not hard and when we flow in faith we can grasp these things without the rough edges of human reason that has no grace

In what way does this have anything to do with what I wrote about the verb tenses, and the meaning of those words, and how he-who-shall-not-be-named said wrongly about those verbs??

I searched through Bauer, the best Lexicon, and 3 Greek exegetical commentaries and there was NO mention of οῗδα ever being "easy, to know without effort." Or, "That you will know God easily" This is pure and utter imaginative speculation. It is not rooted in an understanding of the Greek. He-who-shall-not-be-named knows just enough Greek to be dangerous, (as in leading people astray!) and not enough to have a clue what he is talking about. Just throwing around some words and making up a definition.

You don't see how there is any other meaning for these verses than you and some of the commentators understand. But there is. I explained it in my previous post. Also mentioned it in #2 of this thread and re-posted it for you. What you call "pure and utter imaginative speculation not rooted in understanding of the Greek" Others know to be from the Holy Spirit. Certainly not leading anyone astray.

Also, it is just plain wrong to call someone a heretic because you don't agree with their interpretations of certain Bible verses. I believe in healing in the atonement and you don't. This doesn't make me a heretic. I also believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit including speaking in tongues is for today. As it is an intricate and important part of my prayer life and fellowship with God but you don't agree. That doesn't make me a heretic.

These issues are not up for debate because you nor I can answer for each other. There are enough Christians on both sides of these issues for it to be a fool hearty endeavor to start accusing one another of heresy. It does no good for the furtherance of God's will in this world against the real enemy of our souls who is obviously killing, stealing and destroying people's lives.

Let's not get into allowing our common enemy satan to trick us into biting and devouring one another on these forums and thereby doing his job for him.

matthew 9:20-22 ""And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. 22But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; THY FAITH hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour."

matthew 9:28-29 "And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your Faith be it done unto you"

But always remember that Perfect means a completed action, so "they will all know me," is going to be completed. That is the grammar in Hebrews 8:11.
So are you saying this is still future or now?

With Hebrews quoting Jeremiah's prophecy it must surely be true "that we all know" him.

Except when all these "new interpretations" don't line up with God's Word, which is when the Holy Spirit is not leading. God will never contradict his Word. The Spirit will never lead you to a place where where the Bible does not go.

Made up definitions are always a sign or heresy, lying or ignorance. You are following a fake!

Why don't you try reading your Bible in context? Instead of these stupid devotionals, where literally I have not seen one that actually exegetes the text properly, or draws correct conclusions.
