I'd get on my knees and ask forgiveness, but being the arthritic, bad-back, bad-knees decrepit old hag that I am, :p it probably wouldn't work too well. I'd never be able to get up again. :( :p
And you would probably swear again when trying to get up.
Then you would have to get on your knees again and do the same.
then again and again and so it goes on.

Hey give it a try, post us a video. It could bring a laugh

Hi dcon: Sigh! The statement that we have to sin, becomes a bold statement, because it takes a bold person to presume such a thing.
It is a far different thing to say one MUST sin, and to say one still sins.

The word must changes the whole context..

I know of quite a few believers who went through similar circumstances......seems that those who are of the devil like to persecute the heirs of salvation.....
My foster dad was a Christian (well he had professed faith in Jesus and in fact told me about Jesus), not the best introduction to Christianity.

Are we justified by works?
i don't think we are

Romans 4:1-5
Chapter 4
Abraham Justified by Faith

What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.

David Celebrates the Same Truth
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,

I like How James says it, In a sense, we are justified by works, in that those who have true saving faith will, like Abraham, Have works. and there will be no questioning their faith. Unlike those who have no faith, WHo may claim to have faith, but be hearers and not doers.

Kind of like these two verses in past tense that you fail to acknowlegde

By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

EG,
You DID say we are justified by works...
Here's what you said:

See? You did say it.

We are NOT justified by WORKS IN ANY SENSE.

If you don't like google, which has a good explanation in Got Questions,
then use whatever method you care to use.

But PLEASE learn the difference between JUSTIFICATION and SANCTIFICATION and how each is received.

I've posted it a few times and will not do it again.

I'd be willing to if you told me you'd read it and understand the difference, but since I know you don't care to learn from me, please learn it some other way. Maybe your church, maybe some books, maybe the bible, but that would require a real study, not just some verse like someone here likes to use. You cannot learn justification and sanctification TOTALLY from scripture because it is juxataposed and not made totally clear.

The clarification came after the letters were written and studied by the first theologians after Jesus died.
Please look into this so that you won't again say that we are "in some sense" justified by works.

Also, it would be very nice if you stopped telling me I don't understand English well.
I believe I understand it better than most...

If you don't agree, fine.
But stop insulting me.
Thanks.
