Is there a double standard at work here? Hmm.............

Not to mention that I never did what he accused me of....no apology required!

You did EXACTLY what I said you did D and you know it..........you JUST DIDN'T THINK you would get called out on it.

There is such a thing as personal holiness. It has to do with the choices we make to be obedient to Gods word. It has nothing to do with the holiness that Jesus purchased for us with his blood. It has nothing to do with purchasing a ticket to heaven. The problem is when people confuse their personal holiness to the blameless holiness that Jesus imputed to you to be able to stand in Gods presence.

BTW Dman, you need to get with your buddy Grateful.......he has a thread going where he says a person DOES NOT have to repent and ASK FOR FORGIVENESS for their sins AFTER THE FIRST TIME...........

Mayhaps you can "school" him a wee bit eh?

    too............too.......funny

Oh, and for not saying what I said you did.........

    SIMPLE QUESTION

A person believes that they can turn from God, sin, and refuse to repent and ask forgiveness, and lose their salvation if they die in their unrepentant state.....................

Are they false teachers and borderline liars?

Reguardless of where your eternal life may be is a choice of your own... if you keeep the faith untill the end you will spend your eternal life in his kingdom..

If you dont keep the faith to the end then you have an advocate with the father who may put you in prison for a bit or for a while,, or for eternity..

Now correct me if im wrong but if your salvation redemption eternal life with God) is allready declared then that means youve recieved your glorified body too ... tell me is that glorified body a face lift or angelic or something else.. ?
At this point. You are not going to hear anything other than Acts 16:31. And actually you have heard it, it is your choice to believe it.

Seems to me you haven't hit the beginning of the story.

Woe to anyone that wants to use John 3:16 for an unbelievers salvation and in their next breath tell them it is temporary, and They might burn in the Lake of Fire if they don't behave like we think they should.

Sin can be omission or commission. It is not just what we do but also what we fail to do, even unknowingly. Not to mention the sins due to community responsibility. Some sins are pronounce and some are subtle but it is still sin and the wages are still the same. Save by Grace!! We all are!!

Sin is not the issue on this forum or any other. It is evil that is the issue.

Evil has all it's sin cleaned up. Evil judges all others of their sin.

Evil is the issue. Not sin.

Evil is self righteous prigs that CLAIM they have their sin cleaned up. So Evil comes here and makes Sin the issue.

I am disappointed in this obvious denial of basic faith and goals.

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
    2 tim 2:22

We are called to have a pure heart.
To be told by you I should not found my theology on one verse speaks where
your heart is and compromise. Not even for a second are you considering the
purity of Christ and our calling.

    Dear Lord Jesus,

May you bring a conviction to our hearts of your purity, of your holiness and
how you call us to purify ourselves in your blood and communion with the
    Holy Spirit. Amen

Sin has its foundation in the lusts of the heart.
By purifying our hearts we take away the foundation for sin.

Now obviously if these lusts are something one is addicted to,
anything that threatens this indulgence will be opposed by every
and any means. It is the way of a sinful heart, from the beginning
    and why judgement in coming.

Now if a believer lives like this they are no better than the pharisees and
teachers of the law, who were possessed by these things, devoid of truth
and love, just have the form of faith without its foundation.

When Paul was preaching, he was preaching to people who partook in orgies,
    prostitutes, exploiting sexual immoral people.

Now a friend of mine who I no longer know, was happy to participate in a worship
time, fulfilling his desire for spirituality and then going to the whore house to have
his sexual desires met. He was extreme and in my experience unusual, but not alone.

So maybe sexual fantasy and pornography is no problem, or covetousness over some
life styles, or a sport fixation. Now I know the attraction of all these things but we
are called to flee them, to life a spotless life, literally.

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:18-21

Gotta keep reading after 3:16, then one will see what a person that believes is Jesus will do. He that does truth comes to light, that his deeds (works) may be manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Let me translate this for you my friend.
Jesus calls us to walk in purity, have a pure heart.

Now imagine you saying, rubbish, I can never have a pure heart.

Then why did Jesus tell the pharisees to clean the inside of the bowl and not just
    the outside?

Or why did Jesus say things from the heart defile us, not what we eat.

So this is not a minor issue, or some beside the point doctrine. This goes to the heart
of what salvation and walking with Christ is.

Paul goes so far as wanting to take captive even our thoughts.
Now the reason why we do not see revival or great moves of God because people dwell
in sin in their hearts, and have no desire for purity, love and truth.

Now I understand when people become powerful in any group, the power can go to their
heads and corrupt them. Sexual desire, other relationships open up, and temptation is there.
But this is the point. Is faith just the beginning or realising its reality in the heart and soul?

But what you are telling me is it is all a lie, just a delusion. No wonder the athiests are gaining
ground. What kind of spirituality is this other than total hypocracy and compromise!!!!

Let me also break this down.
If I walk in the ways of Christ, His love and purity, and call others to follow, it is
me who is stinking and being evil.

No wonder the blind lead the blind and all fall into hell, or lusts, affairs, adultery,
divorce, broken families, sexual assault and rapes are so high.

I heard yesterday 50% of all criminal cases in the UK are now sexual assault cases.
Love is dying among people, and desire and lust is their indulgence or reassurance.

I worked with a man who every woman he saw was a lust desire. He spent all his
waking life wrapped up in this weird fantasy, because it made sense to him, like any
heroine addict or crack cocain smoker. It was destroying both who he was and what
    he was, block by block.

But Jesus does not have an answer to this? A love and power through the cross that
is greater? Where is your focus or life? Christ in me is stronger than the world and passing
sexual attraction, which is only skin deep and biological, like a reflex, used inappropriately
    it kills you.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Isaiah 1:4

And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed. Isaiah 1:28

The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. Isaiah 3:9

Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope: Isaiah 5:18

And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Isaiah 6:7

Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. Isaiah 13:9

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: Isaiah 30:1

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. Isaiah 38:17

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Isaiah 58:1

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:2

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Revelation 18:4-5
