Your in the darkness. don't know it. And have a lot of brothers and sisters on this very forum who are trying to FREE you from your own self induced bondage...............I was right there with your mentality for years. and would fight shoulder to shoulder with you. Now I would love to see you free.

And your gut reaction is thinking free to sin. Because that what is you THINK freedom is.

But freedom is actually freedom from fighting sin. And you won't believe....... it will result in less sin!

learn more about the SON.......sin less and less. Learn more about sin and fighting sin......sin more.
Will they ever see? God please open their eyes.. So they too can enter your REST and stop the fight.

I've heard it said that it's a good thing the world hates Christians. Because if Christendom didnt have to fight against a world that hates them, they would turn inward and devour themselves. I think this thread and many like it in this forum make a pretty good case for that.

Satan,, I blame it on satan, it is one thing that assures me christianity is the truth.. Because of all the infightiing,, Satan attacks it more than any other religion. Jews would be the second.. But because they have a special place in Gods heart.

I am guilty. We all are. If we say we aren't ....we lie.

My motives aren't always pure, but sometimes they are. And loss of salvation and maintaining salvation is about people attacking the very character, nature, integrity and virtue of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a SERIOUS offense to HIM. Not me.
Guilty myself..

I wonder if we sometimes forget God does not need defending? But then again, we hate to see people fall too. God loved all people. he hated the false teaching, but he loved the people..

My previous name was Gr8grace.

And listening to this garbage attack the Grace of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ALL the time would make my motive change for the worst. So I just quit.

It is hard to watch self righteous prigs, trample all over the King and my friend.
Welcome back my precious brother. We missed you and as you can see there is still an all out war on the gospel of the grace of God shown in Christ. There are still those that are trying to create and maintain their own D.I.Y. self-righteousness/holiness and thus perverting the gospel of the grace of our Lord.

Reminds me of Matthew 13:15.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should[SUP][a][/SUP] heal them.

Amen,

What amazes me is that this only happens to religious people.. I think they get so engrossed in their reigion and what they are used to. they forget to open and see what God is actually seeing,, Thats the danger of false teachers. As paul said, it is like yeast, Only a small bit effects the whole lump. And the bread becomes a different entity that what it was, It is completely changed..

It sure does. We shoot our wounded rather than nurse them back to spiritual health.

Unfortunately I have had to "like" this post because it is so true but it should not be this way.

when your fighting the enemy, some times there are some friendly fires.. And this is sad.. Thats why we need to help each other.. if we see something, don't be afraid to break in and help a brother who is harming another brother.

And there are some that we just don't interact with until we see repentance from their behavior of insulting others.

10 years ago on March 20th my son was born. When I saw him for the first time and held him in my arms it was the first time in my life that I realized how much God loves me. That if I could be so captivated by this beautiful little boy....how much more does an infinite all knowing all powerful God love me.
We will not fully know the depth of Gods love this side of eternity.

In the meantime we should seek that love.
A love that accepts us where we are at.
A love that wants to take us beyond where we are at,
A love that purifies and sanctifies us.
A love that seeks to build us up.
A love that corrects without being harsh.
A love that never ceases.

I seek that because I need it so much but what I do know is that as Gods love penetrates my heart and breaks down my barriers a little bit of me is released, the me that wants to be like Jesus.

The more this happens then the more I am like this with my fellow brothers/sisters in Christ.

that would take everyone to do that, otherwise, It loses its function as a chastening tool, but yes, that is the wise thing to do..

We can still post the scriptures that show the good news of the gospel and still not interact with them. It just fuels their foul behavior to continue when we interact with them.

Guilty here as well.
As guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo.

Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
Rom 12:3

I am humbled by this because almost everyone has better insights than me.
Often if the Lord brings something to my heart and I see something new I get
excited and I just want to share it, like a little child with a new toy.

When a massive door opens, I stagger back and go wow.

I think we are living in an age of wow.

My biggest wow is carrying the pains in my heart inflicted by others and saying
praise the Lord that I am privileged to carry others sins as part of walking with
Christ. Paul went so far as to say we perfect Christs work in doing this.

Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.
Col 1:24

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Cor 7:1

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12

And if sin is in the camp, what should we do as James encourages us

Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
James 4:8-10

Amen, the Lord will lift us up, glory, what a King.

That's cool man. How many have you made? Do you have any pics? I wanna see!
The top one was one of the first I forged. Out of a busted 1/2 ratchet.

The bottom one is getting pretty close to show quality. For an amateur.

Both mountain mahogany handles from the heights of Montana mountains!

God is love right?

Was Jesus full of God's love when he drove the money changers out with a whip?
Was Jesus full of love when he called the self righteous hypocritical Pharisees blind leaders of the blind?
Was Jesus full of love when he called the Pharisees white washed coffins filled with the bones of dead men?

Love and truth go hand in hand...and even a righteous rebuke can be made in love......

One thing men have no ability to judge is motive.....

Just saying....
Yep Jesus is always full of love... nothing more an nothing less,,, hes not an excuse for your doctrins to justify your motives.
