The verse plainly tells what to do "Be careful (anxious) for nothing".

This is something we overlook, tho every time we ought to think: 'oh yes, I must try this.'
Thus the peace of the Eternal is expected to guard minds and hearts. What this means? Even more so, considering how much anxiety (see Job 14: 1), fear, etc. overwhelm our hearts.
Be cautious,do not get relaxed,do not take things for granted that you are alright, but pray exceedingly, and make sure you are on the top of your game in the spiritual warfare department, and to make sure you do not slip backwards.

Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Luk 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.
