Luke 9:44Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

Just as Jesus said this in the hopes that His sayings shall remind them of this truth even when the world has scattered them from Him, that they will return to Him to continue to abide in Him as His disciples; so are His sayings here in how God the Father wants us to come to Him to honor Him in worship.

So when religious christians has broadened the way in how to worship God, we are to strive to enter through the straight gate to the only way God the Father wants us to honor Him by, and that is by only honoring the Son in worship in being His disciples, for it is by only honoring the Son, is how any one can honor the Father, because the moment you stop honoring the Son in worship, you are not honoring the Father at all.

Notice the Father's will in how this judgment is over all believers in how we honor God the Father by.

John 5:[SUP]22 [/SUP]For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:[SUP]23 [/SUP]That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

The latter part of verse 23 leaves no room for honoring the Holy Spirit, even though the Holy Spirit is a Person of the Triune God.

It is plainly written and you cannot sow doubt to His words as the devil has been, where you would think it is okay to worship the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son as per the assumption of this man made Nicene creed when there is no Biblical teaching to practice honoring God in worship in that way in any of the books in the N.T.

Why? There are other spirits in the world as well as sinners that worships these spirits, and that is why all invitations points to the Son, not only for eternal life, but for coming to God the Father for anything; prayer, fellowship, and worship so that these sinners repent from their spirit worship to honoring only the Son in worship, and thereby honoring God the Father.

Paul emphasized this type of worship to be obeyed even in his absence.

Philippians 2:
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:[SUP]7 [/SUP]But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:[SUP]8 [/SUP]And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.[SUP]9 [/SUP]Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:[SUP]10 [/SUP]That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;[SUP]11 [/SUP]And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

It is about Jesus Christ that we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling in how we honor God in worship as the following verse reminds us of Whom He is that is working in us.

Philippians 2:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Which was stated earlier in the Book of Philippians...

Philippians 1:[SUP]5 [/SUP]For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;[SUP]6 [/SUP]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.[SUP]8 [/SUP]For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.[SUP]9 [/SUP]And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;[SUP]10 [/SUP]That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.[SUP]11 [/SUP]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

His disciples led by the Spirit of God, will be doing exactly what the Holy Spirit is sent to do, even in worship.

John 15:
[SUP]26 [/SUP]But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:[SUP]27 [/SUP]And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

John 16:[SUP]14 [/SUP]He shall glorify me:

That is the role of the Holy Spirit as the Divine Witness of the Son in glorifying Him, and there is no other way the Holy Spirit will lead us by in honoring God the Father in according to the Father's will, because the Son is the Bridegroom & we are to be the abiding bride of Christ seeking the face of the Bridegroom in worship because the Son will be coming soon.

If any disagree, I implore you all to pray about this before replying because His sayings need to sink in your ears so that you see the need to narrow the focus in worship in how God the Father wants you to come to Him by.

John 14:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10:1
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.....[SUP]7 [/SUP]Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Matthew 7:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:[SUP]14 [/SUP]Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Luke 13:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

The Holy Spirit is pointing saved believers to keep going to the Son for all things in coming to the Father just as scripture is still pointing saved believers to keep going to the Son for fellowship and to glorify God by.

1 Corinthians 1:[SUP]9 [/SUP]God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.[SUP]10 [/SUP]Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

John 13:[SUP]31 [/SUP]Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.[SUP]32 [/SUP]If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

You cannot honor nor glorify the Holy Spirit in worship when the indwelling Holy Spirit would never lead you to do that.

So pray about this, because that IS one of the CALL to depart from iniquity by, which is why you need to seek Him as your Good Shepherd for confirmation on, if this is how He wishes for you to be ready for the Bridegroom when He comes.

I would suggest that Jesus Himself paid honor and laid glory upon the Holy Spirit, so, not sure how that fits into your comments here............

Matthew 12:31) Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 .) And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

That has nothing to do with honoring nor glorifying the Holy Spirit when the only sin that the Holy Spirit will convict anyone of.. is the sin of unbelief.

John 16:
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.[SUP]8 [/SUP]And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:[SUP]9 [/SUP]Of sin, because they believe not on me;[SUP]10 [/SUP]Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;[SUP]11 [/SUP]Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Other scripture confirms this is the only conviction that matters to unbelievers.

John 3:
[SUP]18 [/SUP]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So while believers keep doling out other imaginary offenses towards the Holy Spirit, the only offense against the Holy Spirit is the one He will convict others by which is the unforgivable sin, because they believed not on the Son of God to be saved in spite of all the miracles that came by way of the Son.

So using that reference does not counter the will of the Father in how He SPECIFICALLY told us how to honor Him by and scripture & the Holy Spirit are in agreement as both lead believers to honor only the Son in worship as Paul emphasized for believers to obey in fear & much trembling even in his absence so as to glorify the Father.

As much as Pentecostals and Charismatics and Catholics may say "keep your eyes on Jesus", they are not really doing that in worship when they have broaden the way in worship in coming to God.

Jesus meant it; not just for salvation, but for how we come to the Father for anything; by the Son.

Using that scriptural reference out of context to imply that Jesus was forgetful on how else to honor God the Father by is the same thing as saying what the devil says all the time "Did God really say that?"

So no. Jesus said plainly the will of the Father and for you to infer or imply that reference as nulling and voiding what Jesus has said plainly on the only way to honor the Father is by only honoring the Son, is just you trying to defend a man made practice by errant saints not taught in the N.T. to do.
