Everyone and his uncle's dog can give you a ton of essentials to follow. Jesus gave us two.

I gave you five already.
I need you to be more specific than that. I need you to give me an example of a specific doctrine which is nonessential to the Christian faith.

Now you have added the word "doctrine" to the discussion. I need you to be more specific and tell me all the things you regard as essential doctrines. We can take it from there :)

Nonessentials’ of the Christian faith?
Nonessentials--
- Should women be pastors?
- Are tongues for today?
- Pre/post trib/ the millen-s, End Times stuff
- Proper order of salvation.
- ultralapsarianism vs. supralapsarianism
- Proper tithing etiquette (aka gross or net debate)
- Satan beliefs
- Have we ever literally heard God?
- Pants (on women lol)
- Dipping, full emersion, infant vs. adult baptism
- Nephilim/giants
- Did the Holy Spirit fill people before Jesus became man?
- Gifts vs. Office
- Name those gifts

Good start? (I honestly think some of those topics are truly important. They merely don't hit "essential.")

I don't think "end times stuff" is a non-essential - if the "end times stuff" is wrong the gospel being "spread" is wrong.

When Christians speak of the non-essentials of the faith it is within the confines and context of salvation. The saying that is often spoken of is that the doctrine "neither saves you, nor condemns you." However, when it comes to essential doctrines this has to do with salvation and being reconciled/justified before God.

While many doctrines may fall under the umbrella of non-essential (for salvation) it doesn't negate their importance in this life as being essential for daily living. One might use giving, as an example of sowing and reaping. It is an important topic, but it is not essential for salvation. However, it does play an important role in the quality of life, not only in terms of blessings but just joy in blessing others.

So while there are essential and non-essential doctrines, they all are important in actuality. Only some might be called a necessity, in so far as salvation is concerned.

Do you believe a person has to believe all essential doctrines to get to heaven.

That is fine if you believe doctrine is not essential to the Christian faith.
