The first question doesn't include the words "yes, and even your own life" as pertaining to what Jesus said to hate. My take on it is that He was addressing the spirit of the world. I say this because He also said in another place that a disciple couldn't serve two masters.

The second question He answered Himself. He is Lord of the Sabbath.

The third..He was calling a thing that be not...as though it was. I believe He saw something within that He had only to wake her up. And I heard this from another. Not my own interpretation.

Have ya asked these questions to Jesus?...Or just confused by the interpretation of Greek into English? Or, are looking for various answers? Or are you simply looking for refutiatary talking points, to keep denying the Lamb of God?

Also why is Jesus so similar to the other 15 suffering saviors of mythology? Why don't Christians believe any of the other virgin births and savior stories recorded in ancient literature? How is it that the ritual of Christian communion existed in the prior pagan ceremonies of eating the body and drinking the blood of their gods? How is it that the Christian ritual of baptism also existed in the prior pagan cults? Weren't the very defining doctrines of Christianity actually assimilated from the endemic pagan cults? Likewise, why are Easter, Christmas, the Lenten season, rogation days, and others, derived from pagan holidays. Didn't Christianity have any legitimate calendar of commemorations of its own?
God gave the light also to pagan nations. Any pagan nation that believed in God that dies and resurrects for their sins had a proto-gospel like ancient Jews.

But beware, many internet articles messed it up very much, most of the cases are not so similar to Jesus as they try it to look so.

If you choosed to actually learn what the Bible says you would see it is completely different than any other religion. By reading your posts it is clear you do not understand even the basic nature of Jesus or the Spirit of God.
That is what I'm here for but apparently it gets you banned

How many "suffering pagan saviours" are still alive and appearing to men? How many sat down at the right hand of Father and sent Holy Spirit to empower His people?

What is your purpose here?

Oh, this is NOTHING, compared to what you have coming one day in the future. This just irritates you. That future judgement time will shake you down to your boots.

And it is a shame, too, because it doesn't have to be. But, will you ever get past your pride enough to understand that? Hope so.

1. Why did Jesus say his followers must hate their families? Surely, when the son of God said "hate" he meant "hate," didn't he? Why would the son of God confuse us by using hyperbole? How could the examples of Luke 9:59-62, even if allegorical, be hyperbole anyway? Jesus clearly called a man to the irresponsible, disrespectful action of leaving his father, implying that he was not even to attend his funeral, and he called another to leave his family without even saying farewell or letting them know he was deserting them
You have to try to understand something. And put this into your mind and every day daily thoughts. The MOST important thing in life is where are you going to go for Eternity. EVERYTHING else is vanity.

Your Mom, Dad, Wife, Husband, Kids, Brothers, Sisters, Houses, Lands, Job, Vehicles, EVERYTHING, is vanity. NONE of those things can or will SAVE you. If you love any of those MORE than Jesus Christ, you are not worthy of Him. Anything you put before Jesus Christ is your idol, no matter what that is, it is your idol? He was saying Hate in comparison to Himself. LOVE JESUS, hate EVERYTHING else. This is not saying we should Hate people at all, but is a specific reference to the comparison that we should have towards Jesus Christ. If you Love ________ more than Jesus, they you would have been better off to have hated ________ when comparing that to Jesus. Someone who LOVES his Family, may not follow Jesus Christ because of their family. This is the reason Jesus said what He did. if you Love them more than Jesus, you are not right with Him.

You say "Jesus clearly called a man to the irresponsible, disrespectful action of leaving his father, implying that he was not even to attend his funeral, and he called another to leave his family without even saying farewell or letting them know he was deserting them"
You are looking at this in a carnal way, and not a spiritual way. Jesus was making a point here, about what is important and what is NOT important in this life. His Point is "HE is the ONLY way, HE is what is important" If God asks you to sell all that you have and follow Him, would you obey God, or think, why is He asking me to do that, i worked all my life for that STUFF. That is not FAIR that God would ask me to do that. This is carnal thinking. To see the big picture of things, is to realize all that STUFF is vanity, his dad, vanity, his burial, vanity, him letting them know he is going, vanity. Jesus was conveying the point what is important and what is NOT important. If God who created the entire universe told me to pack up my stuff and go to California RIGHT NOW. Would i then say to Him, OK, But first let me _____fill in the blank_____. No matter what you fill in the blank with, you are in fact telling God of the Universe to "WAIT, until i do these things, Then i will do what you ask" God tells you to do something, you just DO IT. PERIOD. This is the point Jesus was making. Those who are Spiritual understand this, those who are yet carnal, will only see what they see through carnal eyes.

2. Why did Jesus, by his own admission, break the Sabbath law (John 5:16-18)? This puts the lie to the Christian idea that the perfect Jesus fulfilled the whole Law, and therefore was a suitable unblemished sacrifice for our sins.
What you don't understand is when the Son of God said

Mar_2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

and

Luk_6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

That God created the Sabbath for man. What? Do you think God actually needed to rest on the 7th Day after creating the Earth. lol. as if God gets tired. He rested on the 7th day for an example of what the Israelites should do also. God made the Sabbath. So if Jesus wants to break the Sabbath, which He did on several occasions according to the statutes and ordinances of the Old Testament, that HE set up in the past. He is the LORD of the SABBATH, He is the creator of the SABBATH DAY, if He chooses to break it, He commits no sin at all. Remember Jesus is there to get rid of the statutes and ordinances and the Old Testament Laws.

3. Why did Jesus say the ruler's daughter was not dead? (Matt 9:18-25; Luke 8:41-56) Either Jesus lied, or he performed no miracle, but the context clearly shows that it was understood to be a miracle.[/QUOTE]

Again, you are looking at this with carnal eyes and not spiritual. Having a carnal mind it is not very likely you will be able to understand spiritual matters. But that i fail not to tell you the Truth, i will answer you.

The Spirit that is within us, is not dead, nor can it ever be killed, nor will it ever die. That is why that spirit will either be in Heaven for all eternity or in hell for all eternity. Because it can't be killed or cease to exist, the spirit that is inside of you is immortal. When Jesus said what He did, He was not referring to her fleshly body, but to the girls Spirit, which indeed was not dead. What He said was not a lie, only what you think he meant, is where the contradiction lies.

Jesus said "I will destroy this Temple and rebuild it in 3 days" Carnal minds thought He was referring to the actual Building that was the TEMPLE. Spiritual minds know He was referring to His own body and not the Building. Do you now see and understand? or still blind concerning this matter?

Feel Free to continue to ask your questions from your Carnal standpoint, and i will continue to answer them with Spiritual answers. i perceive in my Spirit that you started the other Thread not because you are Outraged, but because you wanted people on CC to actually go to those sites. Willie-T Hit it, square on the nose, in post #2.

Well, of course. He is going to Atheist sites, and copy/pasting this stuff directly from them to come here and act like he is asking original questions.

Christianity is the only religion i can think of that is not based on how well you play but who's team you play on.
The entire Bible could be summed up in one word "Love". That is a start...

All of this hatred for asking what should be simple questions is just further shaking my faith, you have just lost a believer, hopeyour "god" is more merciful to you for this than he apparently will be to me for simply being curious
