Default we were born to be leaders

some of us have a group of friends we ollow
so of us follow negative people
and some of us look for the a leader in this society
to depend on and yet we don't want to stand alone

the truth is that standing alone isn't so bad
sometimes when we want a job done right
we got to do it ourselves....(so people have said)

sometimes we want to be leaders but we don't understand
the responsibilities that go with it

parents have to lead their children to hopefully go to
    college to find their dream

in reality we were all born to be leaders... leaders of ourselves under God

and who better to learn to become a better leader than through the example that Jesus
gave when He was on earth...and even though we can't come close to such a leader as Jesus
we can aspire to be better leaders because of Jesus....our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit

God gaves most of the answers to life in the Bible...and that should be enough proof that God is real...by faith....

as we learn to lead ourselves...people naturally depend on the people who show the most confidence......and as we lead others to the right path...don't think god is on the sidelines watching you do all the work of helping yourself and other...He's helping you more than you know...

then He blesses you with gifts and wisdom and knowledge to make your life easier

    how great is our God

As you say, to be a leader one must first learn to be led by God ! But not many want to be a disciple of Jesus 24/7, to be with Him at all times as were the Disciples, or to just follow Him in what pleases us, as did the crowds.

A pastor told me once: even if you don't strive to be a leader, someone is looking up to you and following. Live a life that leads them to God.

That would certainly apply to our 'small' children because sadly once they start to think for themselves they are less inclined to look for answers or examples Mat 18v2. The responsibility lies with Parents and/or childcarers.
Today 'society's fascination with 'multi-faiths' puts paid to any attempt to uphold Jesus as our Saviour....I believe Christians are not following Jesus commands of teaching His commands to everyone from being a child. Arguing and disagreeing among adults is far too late to bring about change....as should be obvious even from among ourselves.

I believe that we are all born to be demonstrators, but history tells a different story about what makes a leader. Although people may often disagree with me, at least look at what scripture says. We are made followers, not leaders, that's why we are so quick to be fooled into following blind guides. We are pack animals and behave as such. The strongest, the wealthiest, the smartestand the most famous are our leaders, by default. God created us this way to follow Him. We were created as sheep. When God is eliminated from the equation we look for someone else to follow, even to death, as demonstrated throughout history. Right or wrong we pledge our allegiance to those deemed greater than we are. For those of us who know God, know there is none greater and that's why we bow to Him. We were created to serve. Every shred of evidence points to this. Our bodies respond favourably to hard labour. Our brains release "happy" hormones and chemicals when we fit in, or get an "adda boy/girl". This is how we program the minds of our youth. Think about how significant a gold star on a test paper, increased your sense of self value. We are happiest when praised by a leader. Heavy is the head who wears the crown. We need to make sure who we follow is following God.

Maybe it's too late for humans to change the mind of an adult by arguing and treating them like a disobedient child.

However it's never too late to show them love and lead them to Christ, no matter how old they are.

Often I hear testimonies where an adult is lead to Christ because someone did an unexpected kindness that displayed God's love and mercy to them. They were nasty and mean to a person, maybe even killed their child. Instead of judgement, they were offered love and forgiveness.

It's that agape love that changes people, no matter what age they are.

Other religions are mostly legalistic and poses no harm to those who are fully grounded in Christ.

I believe people should know what other religions teach and why Jesus has shown us a better way. The gospel of grace is radically different, and shines bright. yet most who preach or have been taught a gospel of works feel threatened by other religions because their beliefs are too sinilar.

Or we could just follow God and walk along side (supporting and encouraging) our brothers and sisters as we work for His glory.

Human behaviour is funny and predictable. I work construction, and some construction workers (especially the older ones follow a certain stereotype). I wouldn't say act tough, but you might. I'm a pretty upbeat guy generally laughing, cracking jokes and smiling like Buddy the Elf (smiling's my favourite). At first everyone is serious, and melancholy. By lunch, it's like a ripple effect and most people are laughing and getting along. People are afraid to step outside their comfort zones because they want to fit in. I know I don't fit in anywhere, nor do I care, so I don't try to pretend. It's amazing how many opportunities are missed to impact the lives of others because we don't look past the stone faced image that people hide behind so they don't get hurt.

Honestly, last week, every time I passed this big guy, I would smile and nod. First time, I got a dirty look. Second time, blank expression. Third time, nod back. Fourth time, big smile and nod back. Next thing I know we are joking around and he ends up being sillier than me. All it takes is a smile and a nod for people to let down their defences. Side note:For this same reason, I generally don't smile at women. Lessons learned.

I was born to be a follower. God's follower. I'm cool with that. Whenever I try to get God to follow me, it never works out. lol

I never said I'm not a follow of Jesus...a servant exclusively to God...even slave to God for I even in chaichans my obedience is to God... and if as I am a sinner come short of the glory of God (romans 3:23) yes the devil has the chain of sin around me... but everyday I lean on God to "break those chains" we all face... and only because of God am I still alive to face another day... my obedience is to God... my alllegiences Is to God...

but even though as Psalm 23 states... God is my shepherd... ( I am a sheep) and yet we are born to be overcomers... not to be intimidated by evil (not saying that anyone here is) but we are born leaders...and followers of the MOST HIGH GOD!
yet I will be honest say it is truly okay to want to be a follower only...yet at the sametime remember God wants us to reach for the stars (our flesh is weak but our Spirit is willing) and go further to reach our potential... and all the while God will be right next to us guiding us by the Holy Spirit....so if there is anything we should fear.... we should fear God and God alone

"If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all." (Mark 9:35)

"For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth." (Luke 22:27)

Which stars are you reaching for?

I ask, because I still have hopes, dreams, and goals. I also know I may or may not get to them before this body gives out. None of those are to lead. I've got a servant's heart. (Not bragging. My gifts just tend to be like that.)

One of the biggest surprises of my life was when I looked around at the church we were in, and realized I was the elderly woman. (I was 45, so I'm sure you can relate to being surprised by that revelation. ) Scared me terribly realizing the women might be looking to see if I'd lead. I don't know what they thought about me, but I never did lead. (A couple laughed at me, when I told them I just realized that, so I think they were fine as it stood. lol) Never saw any need to. I was learning from them, so there wasn't any need that I saw.

So, which stars are you reaching for that require leadership to reach? It really isn't in me to lead, so I never thought of what others might think about leading. (I'm truly interested.)

a scripture from the bible says...
greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world

now I hope think you might've heard this scripture....

you say you are not a leader... yet my message was mainly saying we "lead" ourselves....a 5 year old is still learning to "look both ways before crossing the street" a 13 year old wants to pass her exams to go to high school a 17 yr old is soon to graduate from highschool and (as a adult you have more responsibility than a kid...) now this 18 yr old says... do I want to go to college...or go straight to the work force.... this 19 yr old couple had a kid and ultimately they're thinking about the kids health and how to keep to take care of it....I see leadership with every decision we make...

as I have shown I see the potential of leadership...if only for ourself... in everyone... but we must remember never to rely on our own strength... for we will always fail... but if we depend on God... He shall pick us up when we fall and give us rest when we are weary

We have power in him as His Sons and Daughters KJVJohn1;12-13 12. But as many as received him to them gave the power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on his name;13.Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.;How is the power and authority look like? I see that as the problem. "We lead ourselves." Been there. Done that. Have the scars to prove it.

The reason I follow God's lead. Whenever I lead myself one of two things happens:
    1. I go around and around in circles.
    2. I crash into a wall. (Picture the kind of crashing that involves glasses being thrown off my face, a crooked nose, and lots and lots of blood, bruises, and broken bones.)

If we had the ability to lead and make good decisions, we never needed God.

If I had the ability to lead, I wouldn't have failed at becoming an English teacher.
If I had the ability to lead, I wouldn't have been hitchhiking down that dark and empty stretch of road on a Sunday night.
If I had the ability to lead, that girl wouldn't have run out of that room and I wouldn't have spent the next four months wondering if she killed herself.
If I had the ability to lead, I would have never had my gallbladder removed.
If I had the ability to lead, my husband wouldn't have had that massive heart attack.
If I had the ability to lead, he would have been home much quicker.

This life has nothing to do with the ability to lead, even ourselves. It has everything to do with letting God lead us knowing we are prone to running around in circles or smashing ourselves against brick walls.

I have learned to run away from teachers who try to tell me I am supposed to lead myself (with a little help from God occasionally, of course.) I listen to teachers who get that God leads us. I'm utterly exhausted from circling, and I still need ice packs and heat pads from the after-effects of smashing into walls.

When you get tired of noticing those are the two outcomes of leading self, remember... And then there is following God.

Much easier, in a very complex kind of way. (Feels something like being taken by the hand through a very thick fog, but at least I know the hand holding mine, can see everything.)

If we are in the light as Christ is in the light then we point men to Jesus. If we are in darkness we stumble along the way like the unsaved and know not at what we stumble.

Owe no man anything except to love him. Show your love by declaring the gospel and give testimony of what God has done in your life through Christ.

I believe you can only lead in the areas that God have gifted you to lead in. Four stages of Christianity to me are: Unbelievers become believers, Believers become disciples who begin to grow, Disciples become leaders who find their purpose in life, and Leaders become servants. God bless

depleted...I read your message and there is a lot of negativity in it....I understand your struggles more than you realize... I live in a careshome on ssi with very little in my pocket...with a heart condition that makes me have to get pills that cost 2000 dollars for 60/per mo...and this prevents me form getting a full time jobv...and yet I don't let that get me dow...I have so many problems I solved or left alone...or still going through...but one thing I don't do is dwell on them....I not saying I am worse than you...only that everyone has problems...but if we learn to trust in God ....we can still overcome our problems.. and probably not in a day or week over year....philippeans 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me...so if you think about it overcoming your problems makes you a leader of yourself....accepting defeat makes you a following of negativity....and yet all Christian by nature serve God....follow Jesus for He is the greatest lead that ever walked this planet....and even if you are a follower today and choose to be follower...you can still be meant to be a leader one day...God always encourages us to believe in ourselves (have faith) When people were healed by Jesus... what did Jesus somtiemes say:
your "faith" hath made you whole.... our defeats don't define us.... what defines us most is that we are God's children

when you think of someone who has accomplished something ... it like they have gown somewhat... now why I say were born to be leaders is that God has high expectations for his children... he even said to "be witnesses to all the earth"
it takes a certain amount of leadership to be a witness...and Jesus did not make is a choice for us to witness....it was a command for us to witness to the lost...or how will those who may parish not knowing the laws of God...ever know God....except that a Christian be light unto while He is yet in darkness....

okay we learning and we are all at different points of maturity in life...but God has a different destiny for each of us.... something He knows we can do...and that we'd want to do....but it's a challenge we might not be will to take

okay so I hope by now everyone thinks that we were born in different ways to be unique leaders
