Before I go too far with this post, I wonder if it is allowed to mention the names of people who have written books or who have a testimony about hell, for example Bill Wiese? If it is not allowed to mention names I will stop there. I think another one was Mary Baxter. I would like to discuss this subject and some of the people who have spoken on this subject...but only if it is allowed in this forum.

Are these people who think they have died, and saw "Hell", and are now writing books about it?

Wasn't my motivation when receiving the truth, never even came up. I guess you can try and scare someone into the kingdom.

Bill Wiese has said that he had an experience where God sent him to hell for 23 minutes, his book was 23 minutes in hell. Can this be discussed in this forum, anyone know?

Sure it can. As long as you don't try to sell his book I guess. Did he say if he was thirsty when he woke up?

Has anyone read the book by Bill Wiese or heard his testimony? How about Mary Baxter? Or any other stories about hell?

I've heard the stories, not that I believe them.

What would be the point of sending someone there unless it's really chilly out?

Or you live in Canada.

:p

One of the most theologically confused subjects in the Bible is that of hell.

Psa_9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Psa_16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Isa_14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
Isa_14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Mat_5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Mat_5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Rev_20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev_20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The word Hell is in the Bible 54 times and I can’t seen to prove from these verses that it is a place of eternal torment for living souls after they die.

Why does One need to die in order to see Hell?

You are looking at it.

Do you people not read your Bibles anymore?

Psalm 139:15
"My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth"

"Lowest parts of the Earth" is Hell.

Period.

No if's ands or buts about it.

Yet we were conceived in it?

I thought we come from a Womb?

BINGO.

Class dismissed.

I read it several years ago. I also heard his testimony with Pat Robertson. I was surprised when Pat Robertson asked Mr. Weise the question "While you were there, did you see a lake of fire anywhere?" **Forehead slap!**

Whether he actually went to Hades or not, we do have information about two who did go to Hades, which is the rich man and Lazarus. Unfortunately, we have those who attempt to change it into a parable in order to get rid of it as being a literal event that Jesus was revealing us.

If you look up Bill Wiese on the net you can hear his story, he tells it much better then I ever could.

Obviously there are some folks in here that seem to have no fear of hell so I have a question. Who in here believes in a literal hell as in a place of torment for the lost?

Im not sure how healthy it would be to attempt to learn all about hell or the a cult .For is this a good thing? If Satan himself gave you some insight Can it be trusted. For God says Satan was a liar from the beginning. I have heard programs of people dabbling with darkness. One thing they found out the hard way. The demonic world wants to destroy us.

Whats good of some testimonials of accounts of the demonic world? This also gives testimony of God and the Heavenly world. For God is the greatest and the most powerful of all. For Jesus created all things. Seen and Unseen. :D

I don't know what part of Canada you are in, but it is going to be 15C tomorrow here in Calgary!

As for these books on hell, I had a very vivid and scary vision of hell, when I was on LSD once when I was a teenager. Sadly, it didn't move me at all towards God. It was like, I knew hell was real, the vision was probably similar to hell, (or I really saw hell!) but, it had no power over me. Or, perhaps the devil had me in his grip at that time, and didn't need to do anything.

I needed to hear about the love of God, through many people, including reading the Bible before God reached a point in softening my hard heart enough to save me.

I suppose there is the carrot and the stick. I had just never heard of anyone getting saved because God gave them a vision of hell.

I believe a real message from God will tell a sinner about heaven and hell both...because they are both real.
