I believe most of what Paul wrote was inspired by the Lord, but not this:

[33] For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
[34] the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says.
[35] If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
[36] What! Did the word of God originate with you, or are you the only ones it has reached? 1 Cor 14:33-36 RSV
So what....if you choose to butcher the word and cut out scripture that you don't like or care for....too be honest...not a wise move......

Jesus told us to repent (Matt 4:17) and some of us believe we should do that. Others say it is unnecessary to repent and quote Paul to back up their position. So are we supposed to follow Jesus or are we supposed to follow Paul?
This is just a red herring. Both Jesus and Paul taught that we need to repent i.e. turn from sin and follow Jesus. So what's the problem?

The Bible was never meant to be a crutch. If you want to hear what Jesus said, go to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John where Jesus is quoted over and over again. If you want to read what God said, go to the Old Testament where God is quoted over and over again. This is the Word of God.

A lot of people agree with you, but I remember a story in the Bible where four hundred prophets told the king one thing, and one prophet told the king something else. Turns out the four hundred were wrong.

Sounds a good idea to me. They were asking too many questions in a loud voice during worship.

A lot of people are telling us we don't have to repent, and they are basing this on Paul's teaching that we are not under the law.

I don't pick and choose. Jesus Christ is quoted many times in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and God is quoted many times in the Old Testament. This is the Word of God. I know that God was always right.

Follow Jesus Paul was a Roman citizen, and he wasn't born without a sin.

OP: Jesus or Paul? How about Jesus or Paul or both?

BOTH

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16,17

No one scripture stands alone.

If two seem to contradict, they really don't. We need to find the harmony of scripture. It's there for those who have eyes to see.

That's your problem and why you will walk in darkness.....From Genesis 1:1 to the last verse of Revelation is the inspired word of God from JESUS......

I suggest chapter 1.....and the words of Jesus himself concerning the O.T.....

More ignorance.....The words of Paul are the words of Jesus...Paul was taught by direct Revelation and then inspired by the Holy Spirit to pen the words found in every book he wrote......

It is absurd and beyond idiotic to say that the words of Paul are not scripture and or biblically inspired...

The reason MANY reject Paul is because the words of God thru Paul contradict numerous false theologies and religions.....!

Jesus is God so it would all come from Him,for He and the Father are always in agreement,so they would have the same words that they agree on,and why would they think that Paul and Jesus is contrary, for why would Paul be in the Bible if it was not of God,and all scripture is given by inspiration of God.

Jesus taught to repent, and Paul told people to turn from their sins.

Darkness? Jesus led me to repent of sins I was committing, and my life was transformed. I'm not going back to the old way.

I personally don't see what the issue is, Paul wrote about both repentance and turning from sin.

Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Christians are "under" the Law of Christ.
