I had many but these I found comforting. God has more love and compassion for those people than we do. Also, that it's not His will that any should perish but that all would come to repentance. And yet many will perish because He will not force anyone to accept Jesus. Also and most greatest, our sure hope is that the blood of Jesus delivers us from such hopelessness as those who don't have any hope.

The people crying and wailing was hard to hear and reminded me of the verses about there being people who will be without Christ going into eternity. It also makes the time line realization a short one for us to tell people about Jesus and His love for them. The fires at the end also got me to thinking about how that will not even compare to the wrath of God to come. And we are so limited in our viewpoint about eternity and the hugeness of God.

Honestly, my thought is that God gave us a mind to actually think with. When we build and live in areas we know are prone to things like, tsunamis, earthquakes, floods etc. we shouldn't be surprised or looking to place the blame somewhere other than on ourselves when disasters strike. (Matt. 7:24-27)

The foolishness of stressing over appearance, fashion, material gain, sports, politics, social issues.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor doth rust doth consume, and where thieves do bot break through and steal: for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also. Matthew 6.19-21.

I think about this scriptures::

Mark 13: KJV
8 "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows."

Luke 21: KJV
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;"

That is the one that came to my mind - the second one adstar posted.

What I thought while I watched was how much we should fear God. No wave goes where He doesn't let it. He set their boundaries and only He can move that boundary. I think it's a vs in Job I am referring to but not certain - says something like, how God says, here will your proud waves stop and go no further.

I know God has given permission to satan in the past to bring harm with a natural disaster to someone, like the tornado that collapsed the house and killed Jobs' children, but satan didn't do it without permission.

Mostly, watching it just made me fear God. Sometimes I think I become too familiar and lose that healthy dose of fear, forget who I'm talking to when I pray.

Foolish people build houses on sand?

Matthew 7:26
"And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand"

These people knew the risks of living close to the ocean.

No surprise there.

Did you see those little toddlers in the square wagon as their young mother raced them out of the way of the tsunami waves? There must have been 5 of them all so adorable like little dolls or little birds in a nest. I felt such pity and desperate feelings of sympathy and compassion for all those people.

Also a realization God has even more and perfect compassion for them. My sympathy and compassion are flawed by the lack of understanding and wisdom He has. It all is so humanly awful the way death came with it's added horror and fear for unsuspecting people

I don't believe God sends these tragedies on the earth. I believe because of sin in the world the whole of creation groans and is crippled from it's original state. And because of the huge horror of sin being willingly brought into creation by our first parents Adam and Eve, everyone and everything in creation suffer because of being subjected to it. But not us.

Somehow God loves His creation so much He made a way to for all to be legally able to be accepted wholly by Him. So He offers His Son to make it so. But many won't and will perish because of sin. The parents never heard so they don't tell their children and their children don't tell their children. What a mess. And yet God has made a way. It's such a huge conglomeration of thoughts it's difficult to put them all down in a simple idea.

Unsaved people are not protected. They have no Savior or loving Father to watch over and provide for them the way we who have Jesus do. They are subject to the world's deformities. People are so much like sheep. Those people are just following their society as they were born in those places and work in the towns and cities they were probably born in and have families in. They can't be blamed for living where they do.

I can't say I fear God when seeing this and other tragic things. And it's because He is on our side. He is for us not against us. He has great love and compassion for us even though we don't deserve it. We are recipients of His undeserved love and favor all because Jesus gifted us with His righteousness. We get it all because of Jesus.

Hey NabborBear, we can't expect anything but confusion / distortion / lies coming from those without Christ. Also, the enemy knows his days are numbered and just as the Bible says he is aware his time is short. Makes me wonder what those spirits in the other realm know that we can't see. The devil also has distorted truth to the very elect! We all need the Holy Spirit to teach us how to know the truth from the lie. But many Christians are still eating off the tree of good AND evil.

The insanity in America as the Muslims are coming into so many countries and not assimilating but taking over little by little. They are here and doing the exact same thing we have WATCHED them do in other countries. Moral societies are paying with their own taxes for the living expenses of these very people as they get on welfare so they can kill our way of life and us.

Yet we have thousands of other Americans and hateful hollywood actors fighting all the attempts of our President to secure our borders so to avoid the same thing happening here. Liberals hate with a passion anyone who isn't for illegal immigrants such as Muslims even when they come in "illegally" so we can "help" them when despite all the evidence to the contrary that they want all who are against their god allah to die. They want us to open our arms to terrorists.

Anarchy reigns in many areas of our country as masked people and hired thugs trash our cities. Where are our police? They are sick of being accused of racism for doing their job, protecting the public and defending themselves when a criminal comes at them to do them or others harm. It's insanity yes. sin is insanity and brings in more insanity.

Insane debates from "transgender" or "LBGQ-RSTUVWXYZ" as they defend their reality and insist we validate them by agreeing with them or we are racists, bigots or homophobic or prejudice or hateful.. and they then can just beat us up for not "loving" their way of life. It's insanity! Everyone is insane without Jesus Christ. They don't have the capacity to see and they are subject to their father the devil who hates them and wants them dead but to kill others before they die. It's all about death and destruction.

(but remember Jesus is about life and that more abundantly. He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind) The total opposite of human reasoning.

of course the world is full of insanity and it's getting worse and worse as the day approaches. But we do not see as others who have no hope. For us we look for Jesus coming! When we see these signs we know our redemption is drawing closer. We can look at all this and be comforted. Read 1Thess.4:13-18 and be comforted.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24: 7-8

That we was told by Jesus to look for these things.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:12-14

[SUP]29 [/SUP]Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[SUP]30 [/SUP]And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24: 29-31

[SUP]33 [/SUP]So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
[SUP]34 [/SUP]Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
[SUP]35 [/SUP]Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
[SUP]36 [/SUP]But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
[SUP]37 [/SUP]But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[SUP]38 [/SUP]For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:33-39

[SUP]44 [/SUP]Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
[SUP]45 [/SUP]Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
[SUP]46 [/SUP]Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
[SUP]47 [/SUP]Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
[SUP]48 [/SUP]But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
[SUP]49 [/SUP]And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
[SUP]50 [/SUP]The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
[SUP]51 [/SUP]And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 24:44-51

Be ready, and willing for His return at any moment, its never to early to get ready. But it can get to be to late. Some say better late than never, i say better to be 15 minutes early than 1 second late.
