This article is nonsense, it is not founded in Scripture but rather non Biblical ideas;

Since Augustine, Christians have recognized...”

So since Augustine all Christians foo low his nonsense?

John/Yahanan 10:16, "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd (4166 - poimén)."

We are familiar with echoes of this in the Westminster Confession of Faith...”

Is it Scripture? No? Who cares then…

Acts 5:29, "And Kĕpha and the other emissaries answering, said, “We have to obey YHWH rather than men.”

And whatever was temporary about the Mosaic Sabbath must be left behind as the reality of the intimate communion of the Adamic Sabbath is again experienced in our worship of the risen Savior on the first day of the week&mdash the Lord’sDay...”

Exodus 20:8-11, “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.”

But one may ask: “How does this impact my Sundays as a Christian?” This view of the Sabbath should help us regulate our weeks. Sunday is “Father’s Day,” and we have an appointment to meet Him...”

Where is this in Scripture?

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against YHWH, and will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the saints of YHWH, and think to change times and Laws…"

Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923 - “Sunday is our mark or authority...the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact.”

Deuteronomy 4:2, “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of יהוה your Strength which I am commanding you.”

Hebrews teaches us that eternal glory is a Sabbath rest. Every day, all day, will be “Father’s Day!

No actually it does not;

Hebrews 4:1-11, "Therefore, since a promise of entering His rest remains, let us fear so that none of you should come short of it. For this message was preached to us, as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not benefit them, because they did not share in the faith of those who obeyed-- However, we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: So I vowed in My wrath, They will not enter into My rest, although the works were finished from the foundation of the world, For He spoke in a certain place of the Seventh Day, in this way: And Yahweh rested the Seventh Day from all His works. And in this place again: If they will enter into My rest. Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, Again, He designates a certain day, saying in David: ''Today,'' after so long a time, as it has been said: Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. If Yahshua (ben Nun) had given them rest he would not have spoken afterward of another day. Therefore, there remains the keeping of the Sabbath (word G#4520) to the people of Yahweh, For he who has entered into His rest (word G#2663) has also ceased from his own works, as Yahweh did from His. Therefore, let us be zealous to enter into that rest (word G#2663), so that no one may fall after the same example of unbelief."

We need to trust and obey Yah and His word, no matter if we think Gentiles are outside Yah's promises or Yah's Commands have been altered, His word, His way, let Yah tell the truth and let every man be a liar.

Acts 5:29, "And Kĕpha and the other emissaries answering, said, “We have to obey YHWH rather than men.”

Isayah 34:16, "Search from the book of יהוה, and read: not one of these shall be missing, not one shall be without a mate, for He has commanded my mouth. And His Spirit shall gather them."

Ephesians 6:17, “Take also the helmet of deliverance, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of Yah.”

Hebrews 4:12-13, “For the Word of Yah is living, and working, and sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through even to the dividing of being and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all are naked and laid bare before the eyes of Him with whom is our account.”

We need to trust and obey Yah

I am in America...we worship God...

and His word, no matter if we think Gentiles
are outside Yah's promises
Not sure what you are thinking but Gentiles are front and center of Gods promises;
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

romans2;

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

gal3;

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

eph2;

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Christians follow the new creation rest, the Lords day;
7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

1 Corinthians 16King James Version (KJV)

16 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Isayah 56:1-7, "This is what YHWH says: Keep the judgments, and do justly; for My salvation is near, soon, to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them; and keeps his hand from doing any evil. Do not let the son of the Gentile, who has joined himself to YHWH, speak, saying; YHWH has utterly separated me from His people. Nor let the eunuch say; Behold, I am a dry tree. For this is what YHWH says: To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose those things which please Me, and hold fast to My covenant: I will give to them, in My House, even within My walls, a place and a Name equal to that of sons and of daughters; I will give them the Name of The Everlasting: YHWH; which will not be cut off. Also the sons of the Gentile who join themselves to YHWH, to serve Him, and to love the Name of YHWH, to be His servants--everyone who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them and who holds fast to My covenant--I will bring them to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My House of prayer..."

Matthew 5:17-18, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete*1. For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.”

Revelation 21:1-2, “And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And I, Yoḥanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Yah, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

Isaiah 24:1-6, "See, יהוה is making the earth empty and making it waste, and shall overturn its surface, and shall scatter abroad its inhabitants. 2 And it shall be – as with the people so with the priest, as with the servant so with his master, as with the female servant so with her mistress, as with the buyer so with the seller, as with the lender so with the borrower, as with the creditor so with the debtor; 3 the earth is completely emptied and utterly plundered, for יהוה has spoken this word. 4 The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish. 5 For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torah, changed the law, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left.

Hi Dan, let me re-post it for you to make it easier to understand.....

Actually Dan, that is not true. There are two great commandments. One is our love to God (Exodus 20:1-11; Deut 6:5; Matt 22:36-40) and the second is love to our neighbor (Exodus 20:12-17; Lev 19:18; Matt 22:36-40) Love is indeed the fulfilling of the entire Law. However, if we are breaking any of God's commandments it shows us that we do not have the love of God in us. Only by faith that works by love is God's Law fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit and is why we need to be born again......

Matthew 22:36-40
36, Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? 37, And he said unto him, (1) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38, This is the great andfirst commandment. 39, And a second like unto it is this, (2) Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40, On these two commandments the whole law hangs, and the prophets.

Romans 13:8-10
8, Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loves his neighbor hath fulfilled the law. 9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 10, Love works no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfillment of the law. (this is the 2nd great commandment of love to our neighbor)

James 2:8-12

8, Howbeit if ye fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well: 9, but if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. 10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is become guilty of all. 11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12, So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty.

If you are knowingly and willfully breaking any of God's commandments you do not have God's love in you. This includes your duty of love to God in the first great commandment. If you break the 4th commandment you are not fulfilling your duty of your love to God. God is calling us to repent and believe the Gospel for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand....

Hope this is helpful.....
Hi LGF, I have been wondering if there is some 'clarification to be found in the last 2 words of this scripture' love your neighbour as yourself ? it does not just say 'love your neighbour. Question being...HOW do you love yourself ?
We seem to be getting nowhere with Dan, his mind is fixed on his neighbour....maybe we should all look at 'ourselves....and what we pass on /attach to our neighbour ?

Yes that was my last post to Dan as it is between him and God now whether he believes God's Word. I believe I have done my duty of Love to share God's Word with him.

Good question in relation to loving thy neighbor. You are correct that this is mentioned this way in Matt 22:36-40 and James 2:8-12. In Romans 13:8 however thyself is left off.

The two great commandments are the summary of the 10 commandments and have their origin in Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18. Jesus expounded on these in Matthew 22:36-40 as the two great commandments that sum up all the law and the prophets (10 commandments).

I believe love thy neighbor as thyself was expressed this way because this was the best way to teach people God's commandments need to work by love to be fulfilled in His people. This is because the natural man does not love like God loves us. The natural man receives not the things of God neither can he know then because Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. We are selfish and this is why we need to be born again. To be selfish means to be self centered. This is the natural love that we have who are in the flesh because we are born in sin.

Love thy neighbor are thyself simply means to me that we need to be born again to love as God loves us..... because if we are not born again all we can really have is a selfish love that is always for ourselves only and not others...

May God bless you sister..

I agree with you. When we act out of our own human love we are selfish and quite incapable of loving God...that is why they can't keep the Sabbath or the Commandments in the way GOD requires....they continue doing things their own way and make no changes in their lives ...as stated by admission of said person.
However there is a point needs clearing up....that of being 'born again. I believe that in our present state we are only 'begotten and NOT YET born again. One can't be born before one is 'completed and perfected...just as in our human life. A premature Baby/child is liable to untold problems in life and that is not the way we will be in eternal life with God....we must first become holy and perfect before we are 'born again in the resurrection from the dead. Therefore NOW we are still in the stage of spiritual gestation.
Sorry I have to stop...about to lose internet because of changes made by my BB provider. ..I could be off line for a week....loveme1 has more detail.

That is a pharisee law. Not a Law of Yah.
Why do you deliberately ignore what I stated. In the New Testament it is recorded that the first day of the week the new believers gathered together on the first day of week. That was because of the Sabbath walking distance allowed. Jews had many temples to allow most of the population to live within the Sabbath walking distance. You ignore the admonition to rest on the Sabbath.

A Sabbath day’s walk was a journey of limited extent that the scribes thought a Jew might travel on the Sabbath without breaking the law. Such a journey was 2,000 cubits (3,000 ft. .938 m.) from one’s house.

The reason for Sunday church goes back to rules about the Sabbath. There was a prescribed distance that people were allowed to walk during the Sabbath. They then gathered together the day after it to worship together.
That is a pharisee law. Not a Law of Yah.

Can you show me in Scripture where it gives the paramaters for "a Sabbath days journey?"

The reason for Sunday church goes back to rules about the Sabbath. There was a prescribed distance that people were allowed to walk during the Sabbath. They then gathered together the day after it to worship together.
That is a pharisee law. Not a Law of Yah.
Why do you deliberately ignore what I stated. In the New Testament it is recorded that the first day of the week the new believers gathered together on the first day of week. That was because of the Sabbath walking distance allowed. Jews had many temples to allow most of the population to live within the Sabbath walking distance.

A Sabbath day’s walk was a journey of limited extent that the scribes thought a Jew might travel on the Sabbath without breaking the law. Such a journey was 2,000 cubits (3,000 ft. .938 m.) from one’s house.
Can you show me in Scripture where it gives the paramaters for "a Sabbath days journey?"

and;

Act 20:7, “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

The Greek for the word "first" here is...G3391 – μία, mia, mee'-ah, Irregular feminine of G1520; one or first:—a (certain), + agree, first, one, X other.

G3588 - ὁ, ἡ, τόho hē to, ho, hay, to, The masculine, feminine (second) and neuter (third) forms, in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):—the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.

"week" here is… G4521 – σάββατον, sabbaton, sab'-bat-on, Of Hebrew origin [H7676]; the Sabbath (that is, Shabbath), or day of weekly repose from secular avocations (also the observance or institution itself); by extension a se'nnight, that is, the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above applications:—sabbath (day), week.

I am in America...we worship God...
Also known as YHWH the great tetragamation of God's name, adding vowels becomes Yahweh. Your ignorance is being shown.

Your view has a ring of hatred in it because of your choice of words claiming you are correct and the other person is wrong. When in fact this time you are wrong. You need to ask why that name is used instead of lecturing in ignorance.

Not sure what you are thinking but Gentiles are front and center of Gods promises;
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

romans2;

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

gal3;

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

eph2;

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Christians follow the new creation rest, the Lords day;
7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

Your quoting of these scriptures is insulting. Again you lecture in ignorance!!!

Can you show me in Scripture where it gives the paramaters for "a Sabbath days journey?"
The Sabbath days walk was the distance between the Ark and the people following it when Israel was traveling in the wilderness. I forget book, chapter and verse. You can look it up.

I Googled Sabbaths days walk and took the quote from a Jewish site.

and;

Act 20:7, “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

The reason for the first day of the week was the limited length of the Sabbath walk. Christians were spread all over the place.

The Greek for the word "first" here is...G3391 – μία, mia, mee'-ah, Irregular feminine of G1520; one or first:—a (certain), + agree, first, one, X other.

Means "first". Greek for "of the" (notice day is in italics? Means it was not in the original)...

Of what use to this is that table needed?
To show what the greek text says, it's different than most translations.

Also there is no such thing as a Sbbath days journey, it was a Pharisee law, Paul was an ex Pharisee, he knew their laws because at one time they were also his laws... The verse about the Ark has zero to do with the Sabbath.

The Mosaic Sabbath is fulfilled in Christ. The Mosaic Sabbath reminded those under the law of what was lost in the Garden (creation Sabbath) and points towards the rest in Christ for all His children. Although already- but not yet.

It is not Moses Sabbath. It is God's and is the 4th commandment (Ex 20:8-11). It's origin is the 7th Day of the creation week before the fall of mankind (Genesis 2:1-3). These scriptures alone undo everything you have just said....

I hope you noticed that I used the creation Sabbath?

Yes it's God's commands but we call it Mosaic law (or Mosaic Covenant). And as I said, mankind lost that peace of the Sabbath and walking in fellowship with God through the Fall. Jesus came and fulfilled all righteousness, that is, he fulfilled the law on our behalf because no human could. Jesus was obedient as under the law, the true Israelite.

The Mosaic Sabbath was for the theocracy of God's people. With the coming obedience of the last Adam who fulfilled the law, the Mosaic Covenant was finished. That which was greater than bulls and goats was slain in full obedience to and under the law. On that basis By grace through faith, God counts us as righteous, for we are now in the one who is righteous in all regards. We are not under the legal obligation of the Mosaic theocracy, second temple judaism.

So when we are counted righteous, it is Christ's righteousness of fulfilling the law that is Counted to us by grace through Faith.

Although we are not legally obliged to follow the Mosaic Sabbath, we are free to live the creation Sabbath, fellowshipping with God in right relationship, we also are free to rest 1 day out of 7. Christians use the Lord's day, in celebration, worship and praise of our redeemer who delivered us not from Egypt but from the bondage of sin and death. And yet we await the consummation of the Kingdom where we will enter that rest fully.

My advice don't put yourself back into bondage, It would be like the Hebrews going back to being Pharaoh's slaves. I am also not saying that the ten commandments are of no value..indeed they are, they convict the sinner and remind us of God's Holy Standard.

(and yes I know the 4th commandment).

You mean to tell us that The Law of God is bondage?

Oh dear, that directly contradicts 1 John 5:2-3

"We know that we love God’s children by this—when we love God and obey His commandments. For this is the love of God—that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome."

Yep, Christs yoke is not heavy. The law is not your legal master anymore, Christ is. it is written on your heart, the prophets could only look forward to such a time.

Galatians 4:

4 What I am saying is that as long as an heir is under age, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2 The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3 So also, when we were under age, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces[a] of the world. 4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b]6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba,[c] Father.’ 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
Paul’s concern for the Galatians

8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. 9 But now that you know God – or rather are known by God – how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces[d]? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? 10 You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! 11 I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.
12 I plead with you, brothers and sisters, become like me, for I became like you. You did me no wrong. 13 As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you, 14 and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself. 15 Where, then, is your blessing of me now? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?
17 Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them. 18 It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always, not just when I am with you. 19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, 20 how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!
Hagar and Sarah

21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23 His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise.
24 These things are being taken figuratively: the women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: this is Hagar. 25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. 27 For it is written:
‘Be glad, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
break forth and cry aloud,
you who were never in labour;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband.’[e]

28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30 But what does Scripture say? ‘Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.’[f]31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

Hi Phil, I do not think you understood what I was referring to when I said.......
It is not the Mosaic Sabbath. It is God's and is the 4th commandment (Ex 20:8-11). It's origin is the 7th Day of the creation week before the fall of mankind (Genesis 2:1-3). These scriptures alone undo everything you have just said....
Why I said that that the 4th commandment of God's Law has it's origin in creation and undoes everything you just said is because of a few key things highlighted in the week of creation. Let's look at them in God's Word............

GENESIS 2:1-3
1Thus the heavens and the earth
were finished, and all the host of them. 2Andon the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Scripture context points:
*
God finished all the work of creation on the 7th Day of the week (v1)
*
God ended His Work on the 7th Day of the creation week and rested from all His work of creation, it was completed no more work required (v2)
*
God blessed the 7th Day and set it apart as a holy day as a memorial of creation

Critical questions and answers:

When was God’s 7th Day Sabbath made, before the fall of mankind or after the fall of mankind?
It was made
BEFORE the fall of mankind at the end of the creation week on the 7th Day and was the result of a FINISHED work!

Was God’s work of creation a FINISHED WORK or an UNFUNISHED WORK?
The 7th Day Sabbath was the result of the FINISHED AND COMPLETED WORK of creation!

When were God’s Laws and the laws of Moses given, before the fall of mankind or after the fall of mankind? Obviously
AFTER the fall of mankind (Ex 20:1-17, Lev 23:1-44, etc) they were part of God’s plan of salvation.

Let's bring it all together......

So in summary the 7th Day Sabbath is a memorial of the FINISHED work of creation and if it is a FINISHED work and a memorial of God’s creation that was given BEFORE the FALL of mankind before SIN had entered the world and before the plan of salvation was given to FALLEN man. If it was a part of a FINISHED work then
it cannot be a Shadow of salvation because a Shadow was part of an UNFINISHED work given in the laws of Moses (ceremonial and Levitical not God's Law) and was given AFTER the fall of mankind where the Sabbath was made before the fall.

This is the reason I said in the first post that the origin of the Sabbath undoes everything you said because it is part of a Finished Word before sin entered into the World so it is not a Shadow of anything at all. It was made for all mankind.

There is no scripture in all of God’s Word that says that Jesus is a Sabbath only that he is the Lord of the Sabbath and he made it for all of mankind and commands us to keep it as a holy day as a memorial of creation.
The Sabbath is the Lord's Day and Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath and has commanded us to keep it as a Holy day (Mark 2:27-28; Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11)

God's Law is the standard of the Old and New Covenants and the judgement to come...
(Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12; Exodus 36:26-27; Jeremiah 31:33-34; Hebrews 10:26-28; Romans 1:29-32; 2:-9; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Hebrews 9:27; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31) and if we break it we stand guilty before God of committing sin (1 John 3:4; James 2:11; Romans 7:7) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)

All must hear the word of the Lord and repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and fear God and give glory to him for the hour of His Judgement Has come......

It is written he that says he knows him and keep not His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. The 7th Day Sabbath is one of the 10 and if we willfully break it we commit sin and stand guilty before God and are in danger of the judgment.

Sunday Worship is a teaching and tradition of man breaking the commandments of God. Jesus says if we follow the traditions and teachings of man over the Word of God we are not following God. (see Matthew 15:3-9).

Who should we obey God or man?
