But sometimes a thought comes up in my head "what if God does not exist" that thought makes me depressed, because than there would be no sollution for this world (and for me!) That thought scares me and paralyses me. Than I get anxiety and get afraid.
Please share with me how to keep faith.
And what to do when these thought pop up.

1. Find some very good evidences that God exists. Not many of them, just few best, so you can remember them. Try to find them from different areas.
In times of doubt, you can "say" to the thought that God must exist because... and end this doubt quickly.

2. Realize that you do not have to go with every thought that gets into your head. Its like trains in the railway station. You cant influence which ones will come, but you decide which one you will go with.

II Corinthians 10:3-5 "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,"

Ephesians 6:10-18 "
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual places Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints."

Here are a few other Scripture that might help. The Father is the shield. Genesis 15:1 "
After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward."

This is about Jesus. Isaiah 59:16-19 "
He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own righteousness, it sustained Him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a clock. According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; the coastlands He will fully repay. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him."

As it says the sword is the word of God and the Spirit, so put on the triune God. I hope this helps.

If God didn't exist you wouldn't care if He existed or not. The enemy has many ways to trap and ensnare people. If it's not this, it'll be something else. Don't worry about the lies of the enemy, who hates you.

God has ONE Truth. His Son Jesus Christ, and Him crucified and resurrected. Cling to Him, and His love for you. He will direct your path, and finish the faith He began in you.

i've heard various preachers preach about how our minds are a battlefield. Once you grasp that aspect it should be easier for you to deal with & not allow it to effect your faith. Our thoughts are not always going to be 100 percent pure & holy throughout our lives. Rely on God, tell him directly you don't want these thoughts & ask for his help. It's fine asking the body christ for guidance with our problems but for the most part God wants us to go to him directly.

Ah, this used to happen to me sometimes after I first met Him. It's very distressing, I know. Once you've met Him and had real hope for the first time, you know you can't go back to living without hope or you feel it would be smarter to just not live even. You do well - just keep praying whenever it happens and asking Him to have mercy on you and help you. Keep reading, keep praying. He will help.

Ask that voice "what if God DOES exist?" dwell upon a world where God does exist and you will see interconnections of how He works His will upon this world and upon our hearts and minds.

The only solution I have found against negative thoughts is not trying harder to NOT think them.

INSTEAD focus on good thoughts that causes you to live a godly life.

Someone told me once they didn't believe in God and when they died they would just turn dust.,,, I said okay, but what if you are wrong? You would end up in hell, deny God who made you. Instead of spending eternity in heaven.

If I am wrong then we will both end up as dust, but I would have lived a good life helping others.

I don't see any bad side of believing in God, but I see a lot of evil in denying His existence.

We know that God exists because of the design in nature. Had there been no Designer, there would have been no design, and no beauty or us to enjoy.

We know that God exists because if He had not we would have never have had any idea of a God Who loves and cares. We would not even have a conception of God as He is..

We know that God exists because of the moral 'ought' that we experience. The very fact that we know that we ought to do right and ought not to do wrong means there must be a moral governor of the universe. Otherwise it is meaningless.

But above all we know that God exists because of Jesus Christ. As we read the Gospel of John He becomes real to us and we recognise His otherness, and we realise that there is no explanation for Him but God.

For me it all rests in the reality of Jesus Christ. The reality of Him entering into our own human history, walking on this very planet as a man, perfectly revealing God to us....and then the reality of Him as the risen, living Savior, revealing God to me personally thousands of years later. I know God exists because Jesus is God and He lives in me.

This is how I logicked that one out.

If God didn't exist, I wouldn't be here wondering if God existed. The universe wouldn't be here. This cannot be random chance -- way too complicated for random chance to be the answer.

If God didn't exist, then how is it I don't die in my sleep? The heart and lungs are muscles, but when I'm sleeping, I'm not flexing those muscles, so why is it I just don't die in my sleep, unless God designed those muscles to work without my active flexing?

If God doesn't exist, why should anyone care who lives or who dies? Why not just kill someone for butting in line? No particular reason that person is important. No particular reason I'm important.

And then there is the evidence of God:
Who made that tiny flower that can only be seen in detail with a magnifying glass? Surely no one cares about it, because no one can see it all that well.

Who made that hummingbird that only gets its nectar from that one kind of flower? And who made that flower than only propagates because hummingbirds only drink its nectar? And, even though evolutionists say the hummingbird and flower evolved at the same time, wouldn't that mean that particular species of hummingbird would have starved out while the flower grew longer trumpets, or the flower would have died out because there was no hummingbird with the right kind of beak to get into it?

Who gave us some kind of understanding that we cannot kill someone simply for butting in line? Who gave us the grace to accept there are lines? What is in us that doesn't stop us from killing everyone in line before us to get in and out quicker?

Who got me to ask that silly question about wanting to know God better? And how was it that everything changed for me after asking that one question? How did I suddenly understand God is, when I didn't just a moment before that?

Who put that tiny little flower in a small garden in the heart of a crowded section of Philadelphia with skyscrapers all around when I was feeling so small myself that day?

How in the world was the GAMP choir signing the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah at the top of the elevator I was on, when my biggest fear that day was "Will he die?" AND, how does a choir singing on the first floor resound all the way down to the fourth level below in a parking garage in such clarity?

How did a burning infection suddenly stop? No more burning. No more infection.

Bee allergies get worse over time, so how was it the second time I was stung by a bee nothing happened simply because we prayed?

How do two people live on $839 a month for 11 months with a $550 a month mortgage end up keeping the house, eating, and still getting electricity, heat, and water?

How did some dude's death 2000 years ago change everything, unless he really was God?

I think that even if it's on a subconscious level most people believe that He exists they just don't respect Him because they Him because of stuff that He lets happen in His I mean look at all of those people in constant pain for one reason or another that say that they don't believe in God yet they don't kill themselves look at all of those people that try to kill themselves and fail they aren't all that inept subconsciously they are aware of hell and afraid of it,rightly so.

Like someone else just said that just contemplating His existence shows that believe on some level, maybe you aren't sure if you should respect Him and His teaching, let me tell ya that I don't like the guy I have what can be considered a "jailers respect" for Him,it's like being in prison and respecting the warden ,if you don't and he's aware of it you are screwed.

If you need proof of a higher power turn on the news theb compare what you see to what's written in the bible you'll see that the end times is coming true just like the Bible said that it would in like every freaking way man.

Not only is there more strife more lawlessness more degeneracy in every form but thousands of animals are dying, the bible says animal death en masse, they are making new animal discoveries almost weekly it said that also ,we are closer to world war than we have ever been along with some other stuff.

Naysayers can say that this stuff happens all of the time BUT not all at the same time like it's happening now.

Within the past decade thete have been high temperature spikes in places like the south pole that are unexplainable because they are impossible without a higher unexplained power being responsible...thats God...its like He's giving us signs, the Bible says that also.

First of all, you can't really help it if you have thoughts and questions. Instead, perhaps you should consider it a blessing of sorts. You have an inquisitive mind. As for having faith in God, I suspect that some people *say* they have faith simply because they've been told they must have faith in order to be saved. But is that really faith?

Sure, some people were blessed with the ability to maintain a child-like unquestioning simple faith. And that's a wonderful blessing to have! Others, however, are more inquisitive. They were blessed with more questioning, analytical minds that require study. But even those with skeptical, questioning minds will arrive at God's truth through study, prayer and contemplation. I'm not suggesting that you doubt everything that you hear in church. I'm just suggesting that when you have questions about things you crack open that bible and find out for yourself what it has to say. And pray for the Holy Spirit. If you are truly blessed, God will send you the Holy Spirit. Once you've been imbued with the Holy Spirit you will never again question the existence of God. Godspeed to you in your quest!

Seeing that faith cometh (only) by hearing the Word of God; therefore if we lack faith, then we need to more abundantly hear God's Word. (Romans 10:17)

Also:

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)

As for doubt:

"And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;....And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." (Mark 9:17....24)

Even as this father cried out in doubt, yet he was praying and pleading to the Lord to help him in his doubt.

It is just our natural mind...scripture calls it carnal...and is against God. You need some good teaching...and possibly have hands laid on you in prayer.

You aren't carnal anymore...you have the mind of Christ...all things are given freely to us when we become His.

Don't let this frighten you or think you are worse than others...Its not true.

This is a very good answer.

Now,is Angelique born again?

I will assume she is. Like you said the battlefield in part is the mind. I personally also battle, not as you do,but there are stalkers,or demons that visit all of us. It is through strengthening that we walk in favor and peace.

There is nothing like having his favor and warmth in one's walk.

The thing is,you have to know how to encourage yourself in the Lord. Once you learn that, you can lead others out of that wilderness.

IOW,reach out to others, and you will be made whole and strengthened.

If you pull a blank, and have nothing to share,go get something, share it,and enjoy his favor!!!

Keep your eyes on Jesus and understand the very nature of the world, creation, the nature of man, conscience, etc...proves the validity of the word....conviction of sin, the yearning and desire to study the word, spiritual understanding of the word etc. all equally give weight to the evidence of God and his word......I have found in my own life....when my prayer life and study of the word lacks or I slack off.....it is easy to start to slip in our walk and begin to doubt or get anxiety about our service......keep your eyes on Jesus, pray regularly and study the word...........it will keep you on track.....!

You don't believe that way now though. You know He exists now. I can see the way you went working for some people, to at least keep them calmer in the distress that these assaults bring with them - to say, well, if He doesn't exist, at least I'm not harmed by thinking He does. For others though, it won't work. In fact, it makes them more distressed to hear or think thoughts like that and nothing short of knowing for sure is good enough for them. It's the only thing that calms them. And some suffer it even after actually meeting Him, after spending some period of time communing with Him. You would think that impossible, wouldn't you? To me, I think it just proves that it is satans whisper and not our own mind that does this...

God always leaves room for faith, because without faith it is impossible to please God. And that is the meaning of life- our purpose is to please God- that's why we were created and why we are here.

Dont let your faith get violated. The Bible says that His invisible qualities are clearly seen in nature. Look at rare birds and fish- it is as if an Artist painted them. Look at yourself- anyone who can create such a masterpiece should be feared! Hense the scripture "I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

The Bible says mankind is without excuse. It is only unclear to those who surpress the truth. And why? Because in their mind if there is no God there is no punishment for sin. Yet these same folks admit that they believe in right and wrong, in good and evil.

It could not be more clear. Intelligence does not come from non-intelligence. Life does not come from non-life.

To read the Bible is to know the mind of God more and more. It is flawless. Written through 66 different people of different backgrounds and status, over thousands of years, yet every single detail matches perfectly to every other detail. Not only that, but long before scientists discovered so, people in the Bible knew things they couldn't have- like the earth is round and hangs upon nothing. Even in Christopher Columbus' day they thought the world was flat and and you could sail off the edge of it.

The Bible is the only thing fifth graders can understand, yet Bible scholars spend years just scratching the surface of its wisdom- which is timeless. Whether relationships, finances, health, geography, predictions, history, etc, the Bible has never once been proven wrong. What man made thing has stood such a test of time flawlessly?

There is no doubt in my mind.
