We get to heaven because we are Holy.

Think about this. We are sinners lost in sin, doomed to destruction.
We hear the gospel, we come to faith, we repent of our sins, confess and put our
faith in Christ and the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

We are washed clean, made Holy, pure, a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit to dwell in.

We have passed from death to life, a new creation, a member of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Some would say, no we are not clean or purified or Holy, we are still sinners but God
looks at us through Christs righteousness alone, so he sees us as Christ though we are
not.

So which is true? Does God do a real work in our hearts or is it just a fake surface
with an imagined salvation, and that is good enough for God?

Now my experience is Christ washed me clean, though I do stumble along the way
I am counted righteous through my faith and not my walk. And each stumble, I repent
confess and get myself right and carry on along the path.

Now this is theology and the walk put together. But the hub or power is the love we
share in Christ at work in our hearts overflowing to others.

And I would hope, though I am sure I fail in many areas to show this love and desire
for Christ and attract others to our glorious Lord and saviour.

And it is curious, if I said I was a terrible sinner still steeped in sin, would this make the
sharing better, or I rejoice in Christ and His love each day, Amen.

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.
Rev 21:8

the cowardly - those who compromise everything for the sake of peace
the unbelieving - those who should know what is the truth but choose to ignore it
the vile - those who do things that make ones heart turn
the murderers - those who take life for their own reasons
the sexually immoral - those who exploit sexual attraction outside marriage
those who practice magic arts - those who want spiritual contact outside God
the idolaters - those who replace God with another
all liars - those who have no commitment to the truth

So if we are any of these we will not inherit the Kingdom

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men
nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Cor 6:9-10

I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
1 Cor 15:50

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Eph 1:4

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
Eph 5:3

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

We get to Heaven because God has made us 'holy'. not because we are holy. Like the Corinthians we are 'made holy in Christ' and are therefore holy ones.

valiant - I was a terrible sinner but now I am a redeemed Holy Saint.

And if you are in Christ so are you.

To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters in Christ: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.
Col 1:2

Paul regarded all Gods people as God's holy people. Amen.

God has made us Holy, which means we are Holy.

If you make something clean, it is clean.
If you make something dirty, it is dirty.
If you purify something, it is purified.

Somehow you have managed to take a connection of God doing something
and it only appears to be that thing, it has not actually become it.

So it is worthless.

The reason why the apostles gave long lists of behaviour that is not acceptable
because people regarded themselves as saved yet lived as the world lives and
were still doomed. Behaviour matters and is the proof of the change in ones
heart.

It is like saying the sky is blue when it is grey but you are wearing blue
tinted glasses so it appears blue. It is not.

And why should God lie about the state of peoples hearts and limit His
eternal work so that He cannot purify the heart of sinful man.

Does He who can raise the dead, leave man to rot in sin while count them
righteous, because that is how much he loves us, sin is irrelevant. Nope.

James 2:10
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

whats this mean? 1 sin makes you unholy, one sin no matter how small, or how little it may seem to us makes us worthy of condemnation. one sin, makes us guilty.

when people like peter finally realise this, A light so bright will come on, and they will shout for joy, as will all of heaven..

until then, People like peter will look on the "big" sins, like sexual adultery and fornication, Murder, The idolaters, the liars, yes even the magicians,

and say, hey, I do not do those things, So I am Holy..

all th ewhile, he can not see his own sin, Which makes him guilty..

Yes, Amen, When he does it, it is done.

So why do you preach that what God has made clean can get dirty again?

God is Holy. And what God is only God is.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 cor 6:19-20

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
2 Cor 6:14

If as believers we are righteousness, and light or Holy, and unbelievers are wickedness
and darkness, then truly we are purified Holy temples of the Living God.

For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

this has been my point with him for months, which he ignores. if one does not properly identify sin, then one cannot properly define holiness.

taking 5 things the Bible says to do, and 5 things the Bible says not to do, and keeping it does NOT make one pure and holy.

it makes one self-deceived.

Peter Jens?

the unbelieving - those who should know what is the truth but choose to ignore it
No, rather those who refuse to put their trust in Jesus Christ.

the vile - those who do things that make ones heart turn
so your heart is the judge of who is truly vile?

the murderers - those who take life for their own reasons
I think the term goes wider than that.

the sexually immoral - those who exploit sexual attraction outside marriage
and those who misuse sex within marriage?

the idolaters - those who replace God with another
or those who worship other gods as well as the one God?

all liars - those who have no commitment to the truth
rather those who play with the truth

So if we are any of these we will not inherit the Kingdom
if we CONTINUE in them

we are ALL flesh and blood, it simply means that God will change us into something different.

God is Holy. What God is only God is. God alone is inherently and essentially holy.
Amen.

And where God dwells in communion there is His Holy dwelling. In our hearts.

He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.
Acts 15:9

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.
1 Peter 1:22

All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
1 John 3:3

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

Confession is the door to purification.

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Cor 7:1

Now these verses about being purified have not changed, so why do
you not believe them?

The same group with the same argument, the maelstrom of accusations
and definitions which scripture plainly lays out.

Read and hear where God has placed you through faith and walk in it.
Work through the realities else you are just denying what scripture
plainly calls out is the reality, which you need to make your own.

when one waters down the law. And makes his own line of what is holy and what is not by focusing on certain sin. then they can not understand what pure holiness means. And will never see his need. or his sin.

So my friends you agree we need to be Holy to enter heaven.

For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matt 5:20

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.

This counts everyone out. Because all have sinned.

also please note. In Jesus day when the people looked at who mother theresa was (the most righteous people according to the law) it would have been the pharisee..

Everyone would have known, according to the law. their own righteousness was far lower than the pharisee,.

so jesus was making a point. You think you can be righteous and holy yourself and that will be enough? You have to be better than them, and even they were not good enough.. which prety much meant no one would have made it according to their own righteousness.

which also counts everyone out.

all that is left is grace, and Gods mercy,, the cross..

Love does no harm to a neighbor.
Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Rom 13:10

Greater love has no one than this:
to lay down one’s life for one’s friends
John 15:13

Love one another.
As I have loved you,
so you must love one another
